As a volunteer I was able to witness the caring and responsible management Of the operation itself. I saw people adopt pets as well as drop off those they were no longer able to care for. The dedication of the staff went far beyond the operation in Queenstown but also out into the community where they would have pet clinics and adopt the pet venues. Please keep them in mind any time you may want to donate pet products, blankets or money for their operation and on-going Vet care. Keep in mind they always need volunteers and have a thorough orientation process.

Everyone of the staff is friendly and helped me with getting my two boys Walker & Dakota registered as required in Queens Anne Co.Remember if you are thinking of buying a pet please think of adopting instead there are so many pets in need of loving homes also they can always use donations not just money but blankets toys food treats, pet coats ECT. 😊💞

Friendly and helpful, considering adoption of a young kitty! So many cool animals and choices, I know I will find the right one for us there! Plus saw a Sheriff K9 demo as they worked with the kids at a camp! Awesome!

In my 2 years of living in Queen Anne County, I have been to this place 4 times. Once for a stray cat that I had found, once for a family member who unfortunately had to surrender their dog but were not able to handle the process of it emotionally, once to adopt a cat & my most recent was to adopt a dog. The whole staff is so friendly and take good care of their animals. I inquired online about a dog they had available but they were closed, they called me back before they even opened the next day and I was at the front door before they even unlocked it for the day. I will always recommend to adopt instead of shop - especially from here. Thank you for everything and Leonardo and "Ace" completed our home.

Was wonderful. A lady named Kayla was super helpful. It was very busy and she was very kind and helpful to me about adopting a kitten. I know it can get hectic at times but she was very patient and kind and friendly and I really appreciated it alot! I highly recommend asking for Kayla!!

I visited the shelter to inquire about volunteering. The place was clean and the cages were amazingly spacious. They have certain protocols that show compassion toward the animals. I plan to volunteer there after I take the required drug test.

Severely misrepresented the dog we were interested in. Said he was friendly and loving and huggable. Many hours of messaging about our needs and needs of the dog to ensure a match. After driving over an hour with my entire family to meet what what was supposed to be a good match, we met a dog with none of the qualities stated. My kids were crying and our family is disappointed.

So disappointed. So much misinformation. I called yesterday morning and they told me that a dog was available and there were no apps in for her. I got my kids in the car and immediately drove there. It took us almost an hour to get there as we don't live nearby. When I got there they told me there were in facts apps in for her. They reassured me though that the manager would be calling us back to coordinate a meet and greet with her and our dog as they don't choose on a first come basis. Well the manager called this morning to tell me she was adopted. It could have saved us an hour trip if they had just been upfront from the start. I don't normally make reviews but I'm very disappointed and so are my kids.

Very sad day for us, we surrender our 2 cats because we're moving cross-country. The staff made it 100 times easier, they were comforting and we know our boys are being well taken care of.They asked us to complete a survey, which is fantastic, I know the staff will get to know them, but I got to leave a message for their new forever families.THANK YOU ALL!!! still super sad, but I know their safe. ❤

I've been looking all over Maryland to find a place to adopt a pet.. I found it here. They have plenty of pets to adopt. That is a good thing. In these trying times that we live in a pet cat or dog is the perfect companion... Stay safe and wear a Mask...

Enjoyed some time with my 11 year old son here. Everyone there was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The staff was able to answer any questions we had. This is a no kill animal shelter which gives each animal needed attention themselves and with the help of caring volunteers.

Amber the hiring manager told my brother today he can't have a job at this location because he "looked high". To discriminate against someone who has a immune deficiency and tell them they came in high. Just wow. Do you not ask for drug test? Let facts show not assumptions. I can only imagine what she says about her clients. Email also being sent to board of directors. What a awful manager to make assumptions on someone with a medical condition. Guess I'm glad he does not have to work under her and can find a more professional place.

Me and my family found a great dog Kay the only downside was we payed for all this stuff and they didn't even tell us her back story. She had two ear infections in each ear and now we have to pay for a MRI for her because they think she has the disk infection that beagles have

Our local animal shelter is the very best. They take the time to properly care for the animals that they take in, and are very professional. They also welcome all animals and are No Kill! Please consider adopting or fostering an animal locally! Adopt don't shop ❤️🐕🐈🐇🦎🐤

We adopted a cat from the shelter on a Tuesday by Friday he was sick and by Sunday he was way worse. Two vet visits later & $157 our cat has a virus. The higher cordinators are RUDE and deny that our cat was sick from their shelter even after our vet said he was sick when we got him. They were NOT helpful my options return the cat or use the health insurance that we were not told about!!!! If you adopt a cat from here beware it may have a virus!!!!

These people are all kindhearted and devoted to these animals. They allow visitors to be much more interactive with the animals than most places do, and they have the cutest animals you could ever want.
