I love this Safeway. Quick little known fact: for $5 you can get any 5 pieces of roasted chicken you want from the deli. I saw some guys doing this that came from the gym and they told me about it. Great Keto lunch!

It never ceases to amaze me how 'people of color' (isn't white a color? It is in my crayon box) see someone who is of the empire, presume them to have money and affluence ergo deserve to be respected and decently treated. When they see someone who stood out in the sun a bit and look to be 'racially related', decide to talk to them as a familiar, denigrate or speak in 'ebonics' to them, treating them with disdain or calling them, 'brother' as if it gives them liberty to denigrate, abuse and condescend. You will find that here. There is a rumpled, stoopy, medium statured, bent over raisin colored fellow here who seemed to be 'the man' (ergo large and in charge) who just right off started in with the abuse because of just that. I was wandering around the store for a bit asking for the location of pints of milk of all things and this fellow decided to point almost straight up in the air while saying, "They're over there." When I came to the cash register to check out, because I couldn't go up to the ceiling to look, I later remarked to the cashier how disgusting this disgruntled chappy was, when he, over hearing me, shouted in, "Oh don't even, don't even. Don't even start that!" I looked at him and told him, "You were absolutely no help and I am not talking to you, I am talking to the cashier." He responded, "Don't go there, don't even go there!" I asked, "Where?" to which I got no answer. I don't know what is in the water when you run in to this in doormen, concierge etc but when people act like they know you and can just say anything they want to you or treat you like you don't deserve a modicum of respect, because you don't look like 'success' or 'belong'. They shouldn't have a job and if they do, they shouldn't have your patronage. The manager, upon hearing about this was such a gracious host she was SO nice to me and I had a wonderful conversation with her and she made up for 10 of this guy, but this guy, deserves to work at a junk yard. With the junk yard dogs, not around humans.

I love going here for western union and do my shopping at the same time. The store is clean and has everything I need. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My favorite employee is Maricris and Lalaine. They go beyond helping customer like me. I would definitely recommend this store!

Unfortunately; my story is not a positive one. I went into store to grab some lunch. I went to the deli counter. There was a woman doing something a few feet of the other side (employee side). I looked over the food choices. Yes; I wanted chicken. After I made decision; I looked up at lady. She looked at me. Then she looked away and continued what she was doing. I said to myself; ok, she may not be at point she could stop what she was doing. I understand that. Some activities cannot just be dopped at a dime. I stood there, for maybe another 60 seconds or so. I was hoping she would at least acknowledge me and say she would help me in a second, as I have experienced many times. But, she did not. She looked directly at me, again. And again said nothing. It was as she wanted me to absolutely know she was ignoring me. She veered her attention back to her activity. About five seconds later; she looked at me again. This time I wanted her to know that I knew she was ignoring me. As if I had to do so. I tilted my head to one side; as to say, hello... yes I am standing here. She was the only worker in this immediate area and directly behind the food case where I stood in front of. Honestly; after about 3 minutes. I turned around and headed for the exit, in discuss. I mean I am 6' 2" at 200+ lbs. As I was leaving out I almost walked pass a young lady whom also worked there. I told her what happened. She said there were other people whom complained about this lady. The young lady accompanied me back to the area where the lady still was into her activity. The lady saw us approaching. We arrived at the counter where she told the lady I required assistance. The lady did not move. She again told the lady that I required assistance. Only then did the lady, took her sweet time walking over to the counter. At this point, my discuss quickly turned to anger. I then told the young lady, don't bother. I want nothing from her. I left the store feeling so disrespected. The time of exceptance of this kind of behavior must come to a streaking halt. Maybe today, my dollar doesn't mean much to these establishments. But, they will.

There is NEVER anyone at the seafood counter. Waited 10 mins today and no one showed up - even after an announcement. Seems to happen 3 times out of 4. GM didn't care very much after speaking with her. Store going downhill - I will go to Giant from now on, even though it is a bit out of my way

Honestly wanted to call the health department on this place. Mold EVERYWHERE. Mold on the chocolate covered strawberries, mold on the dip. Didn’t trust anything so got what I knew was good in a can and left. Management should do better. Clearly the reviews state how bad this place is doing.

During the lunch rush (about 1230pm) there was 1 working self checkout and 1 cashier trying their best. I commend the cashier for their hard work, but management can’t seem to do their jobs.

This place is awful. It smells bad, like rotten food mixed with bleach. It's dark and disorganized, the aisles are narrow and not marked clearly, and everything is so marked up, it's ridiculous. This store honestly looks worse than it did 30 years ago.

This is a very small older store. Great selection but the aisles are cramped and the restroom is in need of an upgrade. Superb meat and seafood department.

Small, dark store with limited selection. Not-very-helpful staff. NEVER follows the Safeway rule of free product if charged the wrong price. Good produce and flowers. Decent bakery. Sometimes good sales. My least-favorite of the 3 supermarkets in the area---Giant, Harris Teeter, and Safeway.

Self checkout attendant Ciana was more interested in talking to her co worker than helping customers. Myself and another customer had to go ask her for help. Bad attitude, too. From experience, Safeway obviously doesn’t train their employees well! I’ve had more bad experiences at Safeway than I have at any other grocery store.

This safeway is usually much slower than the other food stores. The staff is always super friendly. Very easy to get in and out fast. The parking lot is never crowded.

Worst Safeway ever. Takes too long to check out. It will be the lunch time rush and there will only be two check outs open. The deli is okay but I've gotten their fried chicken multiple times just to get home to eat it and it is raw in the center. They never restock their soup unless asked, never have crackers or spoons. No I do not want to eat tomato soup with a spork.

It is a decent Safeway. Very Friendly staff. Never crowded. Sometimes checkout is slow/unattended, but I know they try their best. They may need a couple self checkout counters.

This Safeway’s store manager is very rude and has a horrible attitude problem.She has extremely bad manners with customers. Also the employee’s told me that they are not happy with her as well.I’m glad that the Giant store is located on the other side of the street.

I like this location because its very convenient and great parking space. Safeway has every thing you need from dairy to fresh produce! The have a great selection of meats and cheese. They also have fresh baked bread and goods including donuts everyday! The have pre made soup and a entre bar including chicken, chicken wings and drumsticks. They also sell pre cooked whole chicken which was delicious! Overall , I definitely recommend this place to buy all your needs!

Worst safeway ever! Go to giant. Food is not fresh, it's overprice and the staff is horrible. I had two incidents. i bought coconut oil for 4.99 plus tax and i gave a 50 because on me i only had a 50. So what happened was they purposely gave me the wrong change and i told them and they were like go to the end of the line. Like what kind of person would really say that. I went back and then waited then he left, so then i'm there cuz i was charge extra by 15. That was so rude, i'm a customer who is buying there product and they treat me with disrespect. That is not how business should go. My daughter came with her friends to the village after and bought brownie mix. she was a dollar short and went outside and asked if she could borrow a dollars from her friend, so after they kid around and said "oh wait your too late, you blow it" my daughter walked out and said "sorry for being too late i guess" the guy said "kidding, go back in line" she said "sorry but you just lost a customer, that was just umbelivable what you just said, good day" and left. i'm disappointed in the staff here really.

Safeway is great , EXCEPT it does not have targeted products like bagels and smoked salmon. For that, you have to shop Giant. But for produce like grapefruit, I really think Safeway is better. Prices are better too.

This is my experience, been here for fees times, the manager she is rude. Also the products are closer to expire, I buy meat and was not good, also bread was expired I saw that when I got home so I don’t know about this store. Don’t like it. At all.

I found this grocery store to be more pricey than some of the others I have been to including Harris Teeter. It could be the fact that thus particular Safeway is in a more upscale area of Maryland.

I bought a package of salmon and ribeye each this morning for lunch. After unpack them at home, they are smell BAD. So bad, I have to dump them.I will never buy any packaged fish and meat from this Safeway. They are not safe for you at all.

This store needs to hire new employees !!!!Worst customer service ever,not helpful and very mean stuff special the meat department there refrigerator is always dirty. Always make sure you check the expiration date!!!(Expired product on the shelf)!!And the cashier Maricrsis she’s very disrespectful.
