This was my first time to the store and I am going to avoid this Ace because they are so unhelpful. Usually when you walk into an Ace people are asking if you need help and ready to direct you to what you need. Today I walked through out the entire store and the only help and guide I had was the store cat who followed me around. When I went to the paint section to ask questions and I was shooed because they were helping another customer, and instead of coming to me after they were done they just started to chat among themselves. I would rather drive further away to get help at a smaller Ace Hardware that will actually help me and be friendly.I’m only giving 2 stars because the place was clean and organized, plus they have a friendly store cat who followed me around while I shopped.

The manager would not honor a 50% off sign for outdoor Christmas lights. It was clearly marked with the product, but he claimed that they were for summer decorations.. not on sale????? Not, as a "manager' he should have honored the sign. We are exceptional custo ers of this Ace and a manager has foregone our business over 20 $.It was a 10 light driveway stake light for 19.99. Very disappointed 😞

The staff are always friendly and helpful, the location is super convenient near other shopping stops, and the store is always clean and well lit. YES, the prices are about 20-25% higher than Home Depot or Lowes, but this is so much easier than farther away to the bigger box stores and fighting the larger crowds and parking lots. You should check their inventory online because they do have smaller selection being a small store. Sign up for the rewards program to get the regular % off and $ off coupons, which makes the prices much more comparable....also they do discounted specials on their own gift cards around Black Friday and Christmas. Strangely, the Ace store in Severna Park is owned by a different family so the computers don't cleanly accept each other's coupons but they always are willing to match and do an override. We bought our gas fireplace here as well and overall had a nice experience with them too.......so overall, we like supporting this little local store.

Unfortunately we arrived at 7:45. We were then told the store was closing at 8. Online and on their door says they close at 9pm. They need to update their hours so people don't waste time coming here, only to arrive to a closed store.

All home improvement projects and everyday home accessory needs should start at Ace. Not only are their prices fair but the local knowledge cannot be found at a big box store. Ace is my first stop and in most cases also my last stop. Thanks for being in the neighborhood!

Contacted Costello's Ace about installing a pellet stove insert at my house. During the discussion, I expressed concerns about the existing fireplace setup and provided photos/measurements to the sales person. He spoke with someone and they said it was not going to be an issue. Fast forward to the pre-installation. The person measured and we realized it would not work (the surround would not fit). The pictures provided definitely show that it would have been an issue before the pre-installation visit. In the end, I was refunded the deposit, except they charged a $100 pre-installation visit fee. Rather ridiculous as they should have not even gotten that far along in the process.In the end, don't buy a stove insert from Costello's. The sales person will tell you what you want to hear.Update: Their sales manager reached out and profusely apologized for the issues I encountered. They refunded the cost of the pre-inspection and offered to look into alternatives for getting a pellet insert.

I always have a good experience when going to our local Ace. This time I needed to paint a room in my house and did not know the color of the paint previously used. By taking a piece of the wall (size of a quarter), they were able to color match my paint. Who knew??

I somehow lost a peg in my car that holds up one side of the hatch privacy cover. Tried to get a replacement part to no avail so decided to go into Ace to see if I could find something that worked.I turned down the aisle with all the little drawers of nuts, bolts, screws, etc. And there he was. Ralph asked me if he could help and worked with me, going back and forth to my car to help me. He innovated a solution that isn’t just a temporary solution but actually works perfectly. There’s no need for me to keep trying to get the actual part. And his interactions with other employees and customers during that time was 5 stars too. I have been a Pasadena resident for over 20 years. The staff and service at Ace Hardware is excellent. I have purchased 2 Hot tubs from Ace and both experiences were enjoyable. This most recent purchase was exceptional well done. Lindsay kept up with me on specials and saving and helped me pick out the right Hot tub. Benita and her team went above and beyond in coordinating the delivery which was extremely challenging. I have purchased 2 Hot tubs from ACE and at this point I would not go anywhere else. I highly recommend if you are looking for a spa reach out to Lindsay. Thank you again I couldn't be happier.

Had some issues with my new dishwasher installation. Came to Ace to grab some parts. Mr. Bob was so helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable. He helped me out tremendously this afternoon (9-4-22).Appreciate this store being our neighborhood hardware store. And I appreciate Mr. Bob going the extra mile to guide me today.

Best place to get hardware! The employees are always friendly and helpful. We love looking at the hot tubs and the wood-burning stoves. Don't be afraid to ask for help finding something.

Ralph and his associates were especially helpful during my DIY wheelbarrow project. Ralph helped me find the parts I needed, and even took extra time to personally remove the rusty bolts from the broken legs so I could use the parts. His coworkers helped when I lost my receipt and needed to exchange sizes. Excellent service!! The store was clean and easy to navigate.

on 3/24 around 1pm I visited ace to get some bolts. I'd consider myself a regularthis cashier I haven't seen before rang me up, she asked how I was doing, naturally I just say fine. she said, "oh are you sure!? you look like you're in pain"what tf -_____-I said uhhhh no I'm fine thanks.this makes me not want to come back. can you just not? really rubbed me the wrong way

Went in to buy lump charcoal. They had several different kinds in bags of 17 and 20 pounds. Spent a few minutes looking for an employee to help me with some questions, but when I did, he was very helpful.

Great place with helpful staff. Always courteous and available. Will help you carry stuff to your car if needed. Have all the basics and more in stock. Great hardware selection for the hard to find bits, you can go here and avoid the big box stores. They also have a great rewards program that actually give you regular $5 off your next purchase. For larger items say like a mower or chainsaw or things like fire pits they might not have the largest selection so call and check. If they don't have it you can order online and pick it up when its ready.

The store manager, Kylan, couldn’t have been any more helpful in locating the grill I wanted. He went above and beyond “the call of duty” to call multiple stores to find the exact grill I was looking for. I was concerned that their free assembly after having to return the first grill I had bought and had assembled by Home Depot, but he assured me that the staff has training on assembling products. He was certainly correct….when he delivered it today it was professionally assembled and high quality as he promised me it would be! Great customer service…keep up the good work Kylan 😊

Fireplace we got was great, and the process was easy. Beware that one of the installers did not take his muddy boots off and tramped all over the single nice rug in our house (note to self, don't buy nice things, it's not worth it!). They brought a rug cleaner back which left the rug wrinkled and still dirty. They did reimburse for a professional rug cleaner - jury is still out whether the rug is back to it's original condition - I think it looks dingier overall now. I don't have proof positive on that so we are just letting it go, but it just soured my experience with Costello's - such a simple thing to take off your shoes!!

I saw online that a product I wanted was in stock so I left my house expressly for it. Alas, it was not in stock, and had not been for some time since considered out of season. The next day I called the manager to advise there was a problem with their online info. He spent his time advising of how many items they had so misinformation happens. It never occurred to him to apologize for my inconvenience. A reasonable conclusion is that he should manage a much smaller store.

GREAT Experience! Mike V. sold us a pellet stove, and made sure we received the best price. Mike answered my many questions through out the process and got back to me often within minutes! We had the stove installed out of town so they stored it for us until we could get it. Once it was installed I had another question about returning some items that were not needed, Mike again answered me right away and said that we could return them. I can't say enough about our experience with Ace Hardware, and Mike! Thank you!

A wide variety of merchandise. Friendly and helpful staff. I particularly like that I am able to purchase the exact number of screws, washers, bolts, nuts, etc. Rather than prepackaged. Makes it much easier to replace a single missing or broken one. Plenty of parking too!

Aidan Byron Brice is an excellent employee! I am fixing my fountain and he helped me think it through and get all of the equipment to make it work. He took a lot of time with me and because of it I have a great fountain and I am a bigger fan of ACE!

Don't believe the website when it says this location has a product. They never have caustic soda, don't have grass seed during the best time to plant grass, and their staff doesn't know anything about what they are supposed to be selling.Hey, me again. This store still never has anything. Oh, what's that? It's Fall, the season where leaves fall? Sorry, we don't have those paper bags tax payers are forced to buy for yard waste.This store is useless. The help is useless. Just go somewhere else. This horrible place needs to be taught a lesson through their pockets.

I called to ask a question in regards of a certain product. It was urgent and the first girl who responded to me was super sweet, however the woman who answered the phone next was not. I was met with an extremely rude response, and a how dare you bother me personality. Thankfully, Ace Hardware in Stevensville was able to thoroughly answer my question, and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Do better please.

A really well run, very organized and clean store. It's had a remodel with new owners and they seem to really be on top of it. Well stocked with good staff as well, propane, garden dept., Grill's, Hot tubs and lots of thing you might not see in an ordinary Hardware store. A+++

The delivery driver quit and 2 employees delivered my grill the next day. They even took 2 old grills back without asking which saved me a trip to the dump. Hats up to Ace! Thank you
