Amazing prices, you'd think its black fridy every day here and very nice & caring employees that are very helpful without being down your throat or too nosey. Only down side is you need cash, but that's not really a bad thing, just make sure you bring some when you go, I was luckily able to scrounge up change from my car and got a shirt & a dog pillow for only $1 total.

Help Assn is a community gem. 100% volunteer and money goes back to community in the form of grants. Prices are super good. They have sales almost daily. Great selection of things. Great place to donate items too!

This is the most amazing hidden gem in Calvert County. A very well curated thrift shop, with kind and devoted volunteers staffing it. Our kids adore the book section, my father-in-law raids their audio books, and my husband scopes out cooking and baking equipment. Something for everyone!

an absolute GEM for treasures in the area! it’s clean, organized & the prices can’t be beat. they’ve got just about anything & everything you could think of (minus furniture because the space is a little too small for it unfortunately)I really like that they give back to the community with the profits & that everyone who works there is a volunteer! they’re looking for more too in case you see this & are interested.FYI — cash only :-)

Bought a snow globe on the Christmas Saturday sale, got it home and half the water was missing, went back with the globe to the store to exchange for another one store volunteer said" We don't do that" like throwing money straight in the trash jplace like where the snow globe went. Very disappointed. With a so called community theft store.why couldn't she just say sure go exchange, the store was donated the item in the first place.

98% of the staff there is wonderful and caring but unfortunately after many years of going here. I had a horrible experience. I left my entire basket and items on the counter and walked out crying. Myself, the local pastor and other church members will also never be returning and you will see a decrease in sales. How disgusting to be so cruel at this time of year! BUT God bless the other hardworking lovely helpers that also work for free!

I've been here a couple of times and bought a few things but the pricing really stresses me out. Some household items have price tags, but most items are priced "$X and up", while other items like books are not priced at all. So for most items you know the minimum price you will pay but it could be a lot more than the minimum, and all final prices are determined by the cashier. The other associates will not tell you ahead of time what the price will be. For example, I took up three pairs of kids shoes (listed "$1 and up" I believe) and one pair was $1, one pair was $2, and one pair was $3 based on the cashier's opinion of the condition and quality of the shoes. Sure, it's all relatively inexpensive, but there's a big difference between thinking you're going to be spending $3 on three pairs of shoes and finding our it's going to actually be three times that. I like to know what something costs before I am standing at the cash register to buy so I can make an informed decision based on my budget and needs without feeling pressured. Some nice items and the shop is well organized but overall an uncomfortable shopping experience for me.

This place is a hidden gem! They have quality, clean items and you can’t beat the prices! And to top it all off they are a nonprofit so everyone who work there is a volunteer and almost all of the money they make gets donated back into the local community! Absolutely love this place!

My parents volunteered here for a bit. The charity is doing a great service for the community, and I've also found some pretty neat things. (However, sometimes, the volunteers will engage in more drama I thought respectable adults were capable of.)

Congratulations to all that love this store on the Reopening!!! 😀💐🌹❤️👏 Great bargains, friendly staff (all volunteers mind you), old building but fairly clean & organized. If you like thrift store shopping you’ll appreciate it for what it is & then some. For me it’s my first go-to when wanting something unique. You never know what you’ll find there, respectfully. I love the community feel, the quaintness, always seeing someone you know, strangers are even friendly in this store & having proceeds go towards helping my neighbors. My aunt & I call it “The Mall”!! It’s been there as long as I can remember & has only changed for the better. Best of society at work across the board in Calvert.

I only go on Tuesdays and Thursdays usually! The staff is the best ever. However..the Wednesday staff is the unfrienliest and rudest I've encountered in many years! Cudos to the staff that makes me, my family and friends welcome! Keep up the good work!🌟

Some of the staff are very unhappy, rude and disrespectful people. And it's always the older ladies. So sad some folks wake in the morning with such nasty additudes. Some are very miserable and unhappy folks. Not helpful at all. Just RUDE.They will not steal my JOY!

When I visited the place some of the employees where extremely rude. They where to busy rummaging thru the new things putting them to the side for themselves. One lady gave me a price for containers and the next day another employee upped the price. She was so so rude. I did not like the way I was ignored when I needed help.
