Palmer Animal Hospital had always taken exceptional care of my pets.I credit them with the survival of a feral cat who I took to them after he got into a fight with another cat that resulted in an awful infection on his face - he’s alive & well (and an indoor cat) today because of the care they provided.They’ve also been great with my high energy dog and other cat.If you’re looking for an amazing veterinarian, Palmer Animal Hospital is the place to go!

Between a very sick cat last year and a mildly sick cat this morning, Palmer’s has been incredible. There were no sick spots this morning but as soon as I mentioned my male cat was having urinary issues this morning I was asked to drop him off to be checked. The treatment with a very sick cat and one that just needed some bloodwork and urine testing was equally urgent, calls were frequent and everything going on was explained. Cost is also not so high that treatments are preventative. Everyone is always so pleasant and very great at explaining issues and further treatment that is potentially necessary.

Disrespectful staff. Completely disregarded my family and pet. Acted as if they had no sympathy and did not apologize for misdiagnosing my dog 2-3 separate times. Misdiagnosed cancer for a spider bite......Lied about being able to do nose prints. Called the night before he died at home and the woman who answered the phone couldn't care less and practically said that well since y'all we're about to close in 15 minutes there's nothing we can really do nor do we really care that your dog is practically dying and can't even use the bathroom.I know vets are supposed to separate themselves from their patients in order to do their job properly but this was beyond that. Completely disrespectful I've never been to a place worse than this. My dogs skin was literally peeling and changing color, he was lethargic and couldn't breathe well and loosing hair and the 2nd diagnosis before confirming it was cancer was a spider bite????

Caring place that is reasonably priced. Dr. Palmer is a seasoned vet that takes a cautious approach when necessary, Dr. Robertson is thorough and caring. The staff is tops. This practice is so great I drive an hour to bring my three small dogs here. Live that they also invested in solar panels

The staff is courteous and efficient, and the doctors are good. Everybody is happy to answer questions and provide information. The place is very clean and they are following the COVID safety guidelines well. I recommend it to anyone who has pets in the Middletown Valley area.

I had to have my cat of 14 years put down. It was very hard for me and I no other choice but to bring my toddler. Dr Richard and Jessica were so kind and good to her, and to us. They even let me tell stories of my cat(which meant so much to me) and explained the whole process of the "going to sleep" so we would know what to expect. They fit us in day of yet never made us feel rushed in any way. The woman who came in to take my payment, Sandy, made a point to greet, pet my cat, and give us her condolences. After she passed they gave me the chpice to go out to my car while they prepared her for transport so I wouldnt have any negative memories. The whole process was hard, but they made it the best it could be. I really, really appreciate them. <3

I like all the vets here. Dr. Palmer, himself, is very nice & knowledgeable. I have a dog & 5 cats that go to this animal hospital. Staff is caring & helpful. The place is clean & uncrowded. I dislike going to places where you have to sit in a reception area, & wait with your cat & 5 other people are sitting waiting with their dogs. Instead, you get there, call from parking lot & they tell you to come in & you go straight to the exam room. I also like that they do most blood labs on site, so little wait time. I'm impressed that they're running on solar power. So, it's easy for me to highly recommend this place for your pet's needs.

I have been taking my two cats two Palmer’s Animal Hospital for several years now & I highly recommend them. Dr. Richards is very good with them, & she is always so knowledgeable & takes the time to explain everything to me, my options & her recommendations & any questions I have. She seems to genuinely care about my cats, unlike some previous vets who seemed to only like or care about dogs. I have used PAH for everything from regular checkups, grooming, one frightening emergency visit that Dr. Richards saw my cat right away & solved everything. I have always felt that they have my cats best interest in mind, & everyone here is super friendly & professional. I also think their prices are very fair. I recently moved about an hour away & have decided to continue bringing my cats here because I like them so much.

Had my dog Spayed here, The surgery went fine, was given plenty of recovery info and help. I would rate that 5 stars.Low stars are due to logistics/office admin. My poor pup was in pain longer than usual and needed another script for meds. Called, and was told doc would need to review the file (no problem), and then they would call me back. They asked where I'd like the script sent and then we hung up.Six hours later, no callback. I called them and was told that the pills were ready for me to pick up in the office. So the pharmacy was ignored and no one called me to say they were approved anyway. Asked for them to again be sent to the pharmacy, waited an hour, called the pharmacy and they had not received it. Called the vet back but they had closed early that day.Called the pharmacy again this morning, and still nothing. Called the vet again and this time I was told that they had faxed the script over twice yesterday. So two different stories from the office staff, and when I asked to speak to the office manager I was ignored and the person tried to blame the pharmacy.I'll use a different vet from now on. The docs and tech staff were good, but the rest was not.Edit to reply: I was not called or texted by you. Due to work, I have my phone on me at all times. After your reply I even double-checked call logs and texts, but nothing. Considering that you were able to contact me on the same phone fine after the surgery you are lying about contacting me, or someone is lying to you. Considering all that I've read about this place and what I was given for post-op, I am thinking someone is not giving you the correct information.I may have been referred to you by the Fredrick Humane Society, but I also could have become a regular. After this issue and the cya here, I'm not. My place is only about 10min from you so you were "in my area".The 2 star is not for the delay but for the multiple stories from your office staff and being ignored. I was told multiple stories by your office staff, and quite possibly so we're you if you were told I was called or texted, and when I asked to speak to a manager was ignored. I work in IT, which means about a quarter of my job is in customer service, and this is not good CS.Get your logistics fixed. I was also called twice after surgery, once by you (assuming you are Dr. Palmer) and once by another person. Not at all an issue, but combined with the above it makes me think someplace along the line there is a communication break you need to address.Oh, and your VM msg said you had closed early for the holiday, that is why I said that.

I started taking my dogs here towards the end of 2020 and I love it! Dr. Palmer is amazing. My poor Jack Russell was breaking out so bad in rashes. We tried everything at home and nothing seemed to help. When Dr. Palmer looked at it, he knew exactly what it was from and suggested a shot of Cytopoint. He explained everything so clearly to me and even taught me things I never knew about his allergies. He even had a detailed plan in case the shot didn't work. Not only is he a great doctor, but he was a great teacher that day as well. His rash cleared up in 3 days and he hasn't broken out since. He finally has relief. We got the shot in November and it is now January and he still has yet to get a rash. Thank you Dr. Palmer!

The staff is very patient and supportive in every way.They obviously care about your animals and have the most up to date technology available. I've been going to this practice for over 20 years and I highly recommend them. They are very knowledgeable and the hours are good. I have also boarded my dogs there numerous times and I always feel confident they are getting the best of care.

Just the best,Dr Palmer took care of our Beagle for 10 years, he was quite the fixer upper when we got him, but the Doc took good care of him and got Sal back to good health; for the next 9 years till age finally caught up with him. Since he has seen our adopted cat. Both of our animals where rescues who had there share of problems when we got them. The prices are more than reasonable, but the care does not suffer in the least for that discount. These folks obviously put the Animals first.
