I'd heard quite a lot about the Farmer's Meat Market and I am glad I wasn't disappointed. They offer wholesale and retail of beef, different poultry and fish. And they also sell different types of condiments and spicesThe staff are pleasant, efficient, and very knowledgeable.

How wish I can rate their sales -0 star. I purchased ground Egusi and Ogbono from this store and ended up throwing everything into the trash bin.I spend $210 and time preparing the soups. Only to discover it's fake food items

For anything meat. This is where you want to go. I love that they empower PLWD. Their meat is fresh at a very good price too. Hygiene is good too. Gloves are provided so you don't touch anything with bare hands. Their meat is always fresh because they sell out fast. Items are well labeled and neatly arraigned in freezers The staff are very helpful and friendly. I give it a 10/10.

First time discovering this meat market people have told me about way too much. It was time for me to check it with my own eyes. It is packed with products inside. If you are if African descent, South America, this store is going to make you feel at home. Prices are good and many choices from hard chicken, goat, lamb, fish, beef meats, you are served if you like these.Now 3 things, the service can be slow when packed as they have only 1 cashier which is regrettable. Parking is Hard to get, employees are nice. Will come back.Hi again, so I went back in and we are in March 2022. They have made some changes, there is 2nd cashier, freezers are updated, newer, there more cameras 📷 in the store, lot more cleaner too. Depending on the time and day you come in, you may or may not have to wait in line. Oh yes they expanded the place a bit. Still room to grow but I like the place and will be coming back for my needs.We are August 4th, 23 and as I have said before, they have to keep an eye on cleaning around the freezers that are away from cashiers, it is very important. Other than that, I like the place very much.

It was way more organized than d last time I was there. Everything was very well arranged and easier to find. D meat cutters too were nice and didn't waste one's time. Decent pricing as well, spent less than $20 to get both fish and turkey, was pleased with what I purchased, will visit again if I needed to make a quick pot of soup.

Very polite staff and the owner is very kind. Neat store with a large variety of products and the big bang is that the prices are GREAT!!! It is my go-to place for food produce.UPDATEJust to add that I still do my shopping here. Prices are still so friendly and customer service is extraordinary. Papi is the king of excellent customer service. I recently bought a box of yams and oh my.... they are as fresh as I just harvested them myself. God bless them.

Too tight. Meats and other stuffs are very expensive. No space inside d store during shopping. To get d best items, you hv to go there as early as 7am.

Decent selection. Most people were helpful. But when it came to trying to get my meat cut, I was not allowed to express how I wanted it cut. That whole process was confusing and frustrated me. I wanted to give them my business. I did. But it will be a while before I come back...if ever.

I have been a customer for more than 3yrs from DC to current location. on 7/12/19 I visited this store to get a box to pork ribs and some Beef. After almost 2hours of wait(I mean 2 hours no exaggeration) Mr. Patrick(if that's his name) an older worker was cutting my beef while I await them to being my box of ribs. In annoyance he stated if the ribs dosen't come he will leave my order to go and eat. He was so fustrated as I was cus they took forever to even bring the ribs. Then I had to plead with him as it's not my fault that they(worker's) haven't brought my box of ribs.As he continued to grumble, I pleaded that he go ahead and cut the order of the person after me while we await my ribs. Even other customers bought my case and begged him to excercise patients as I am just a customer, I cannot go grab a box from their cooler my self. The way he was looking at me like it's my fault. Customers around me were even trying to find a way to help. I was just there trying to beg Papi who is another worker to please help me get the box or ribs.Then the ribs came through. He did a great job cutting it. Then he asked if I needed in the the box and I said yes. He asked if I needed help, I hesitated to answer as I wanted to weigh the box if its something I can handle. Then I said yes, ohh lord! Patrick was so angry started saying he just asked if I needed help blah blah blah. In peace I told him not to worry I gat it. I had $3 tips folder which i handed to him in good faith, but since he was still ranting about my hesitation to accept help, in the mist of a long line of customers, he looked at me and refused my tips. I felt so embarrassed, I tried to give him again he said "no! Am very fine" . As embarrassed as I was, I didnt say another word, I just picked up the box and walked out of the store.My point here is, this man has continously exhibited an extremely poor customer service right from DC to now Landover. Some people don't know how their negativity affects peoples businesses. Thank God he is not the owner of this business as the owner is a very nice and calm person with great smile and customer friendly. This Patrick of a guy would never touch my meat EVER! If I ever return to that store. I would rather take it home and cut it my self, his attitude is disgusting and to even think this day is not the first time.Overall great prices

This is an African tropical foods mart. So it caters to very specific clientele. Knowing the languages (Yoruba, American Sign) helps a lot. But the staff are knowledgeable and fun.

Deep freezers of different meat like smoked turkey thighs and wings, tripe, cow legs, oxtails, goat meats and heads, chicken, red snappers, mackerel fishes, tilapia fishes etc. They also have groceries items like rice, beans, ovaltine, powdered milk, cookies, peanuts, plantains, tomatoes (tin and fresh), coco yams etc. Plus ready to cut the meat to chosen size. The only thing is that some of their grocery items are a bit more expensive.

This place sells affordable produce and meat that is fresh. You have to put on a glove to handle any meat or produce products. They get really busy on the weekend and after people get off work until about 8:30pm.

Don't waste a trip. Walked in and the rotten fish and meat smell hit me in the face. Meat was not packaged and was wrapped in grocery bags. Full pig feet laying open in deep freeze. Disgusting.... not sure how they are in business
