Libby is great! She went above and beyond to help me get my heart medication.Back story: I had gone to a different location and they said my prescription would be $600 until I got prior authorization by my secondary insurance who is not open to help on the weekends (they have had my prescription 3 days so I’m not sure why they waited so long to send the authorization to my doctor) so their solution was spend $65 to get a few pills (they were also very rude). I called the Hollywood location and Libby answered, she called the other location for me, got everything sent to the Hollywood location and went out of her way to sign me up for a card that made my prescription only $10 WITHOUT prior authorization. Libby deserves a raise!

I applied for a job here almost 2weeks ago to help in the pharmacy. And do the training for a pharmacy technician through CVS. The pharmacy manager Sharon hired me right on the spot, and then introduced me to the store manager Trish. I was told to wait for an email to accept the job offer. A week went by, never heard or received a email from anyone or CVS. So I called and spoke with Trish. She said she would have to call the help desk and see why I haven't received an email to accept the job. Waited 2 more days and called her again. Still never received the email. She said she would call the help desk and call me back by 6:30pm. Never heard from her. I even asked her did they decide to go with someone else? She said no. Almost 2weeks and no email or call back. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING FOR A JOB HERE. THEY PLAY TOO MANY GAMES. AND GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND AND LIE TO YOU.

I couldn’t get assistance to fill my prescription in reasonable amount of time yesterday, so I came back today. 3 customers (all waiting at the pharmacy) in the store, 3 employees (at least, maybe more in the back) in the store….. NO ONE getting any help! I stopped at the front counter and the clerk said she was a “tech” and could take my information to get my prescription started. I pointed out to her that I wasn’t the next customer in line, AND if she was a “tech” and able to assist in the pharmacy, why had she walked by us in line multiple times without offering anyone any assistance. The clerk/tech also said the third employee was a district manager. Again, the employee/district manager walked past all of us in line too. It didn’t occur to her to offer some assistance?? Or tell the clerk/tech to get us assistance??This “small town” pharmacy has all the negatives of a small town pharmacy and none of the positives. …their front door is currently boarded and patched from a truck ramming it stealing an ATM, someone attempted to kidnap a random young woman from the parking lot last year! All this in a small town, yet no small town customer service!

This is the absolute worst. Waiting in line for 15 minutes only to be told they don't have my prescriptions. Dr. Called them in 3 days prior. Not the first time this happened. Dr had to call them in AGAIN. Not only that but the place reeks of mothballs. Seriously. I'm switching to Walgreens as I'm sitting here

I called last week to refill my prescription. I went to pick it up 2 days later, thinking that was plenty of time for it to have been filled, after waiting in line for 17 minutes, I was told it wasn't ready. I went back in today, a week later and it still wasn't ready. I told SHARON the Pharmacist to please transfer it to Harris Teeter, she didn't do it. I ended up calling my doctor for the prescription to be called into Harris Teeter. The Pharmacist was rude and dismissive. I have connected CVS corporate to file a complaint, not that they will do anything about it beccause they have had horrible service for awhile now. Do NOT go to this CVS!

Not sure what is going on with the Pharmacy = slow, rude, not filling prescriptions, no text messages (even though its enabled in my profile), asked to return later for a prescription = come back 4 days later and still don't have it filled. Have a prescription sent from my doctor come in the next day, they say they never got it, talk to my doctor and they show it was sent, check my online profile, shows they did get it and its on hold with no reason why. Going to change Pharmacy's this one doesn't seem to need my business.

Almost every single time I come here my prescription is not ready, even if I come hours to a day after it was supposed to be ready. In addition, there are times people are in line for 15+ minutes without being helped or blatantly ignored.

I had a bad experience at the CVS pharmacy in Hollywoood MD last Friday. After a wait of 50 minutes I was told a medication is not in stock, while they kept on telling me they are working on it. The staff was very rude and had no courtesy to apologize. It was hard to take it with having a sick child and being a doctor trying always to help others. During my wait saw at least 12 people trying to fill prescriptions, not a single one left satisfied. Most were made to wait for long time or asked to come back next day, including an older gentleman who was returning next day after being told to do that. This may be my first ever bad review but the intention is that administrative people look into this problem and fix it. If my insurance does not push me to stick with CVS, I will not go to CVS ever. Smaller local pharmacies do a much better job and are more professional and nice to people in need. I would give zero star but had to give one otherwise I can not publish this post!

Absolute garbage of a pharmacy. People move at a snails pace without a care for what they're doing. I called 3 different times only to be left on hold for over 30 minutes each time. When I gave up trying to call, I went to the location to find out why my prescription had been on hold for over a week. While next in line, the cashier decided to take someone else in front of me because "their prescription is ready". She had no idea whether mine was ready because she didn't bother to ask me any info. The phone rang nonstop the entire time I was there, which was well over 20 minutes. No effort was made to answer it. Once she did look into my situation, she wondered around aimlessly for 3 to 4 minutes. Checked the computer a couple times. Talked with someone else in the back. Came back to the computer for another 3 to 4 minutes. No attempt to speed things along. 6 or 7 people in line behind me. Absolute insanity. At the end, I got no answer. I walked out, called my doctor and had my prescription sent somewhere else that is not CVS. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The Pharmacy workers are incompetent.

BLUF: Pharmacist punches boxes and yells at customer. Refuses to provide information when questioned. Closes pharmacy early. The pharmacist flat out refused to give me my medication because of an authorizations issue with insurance. No problem? I'll just pay out-of-pocket. She again refused and said to take it up with my physician stating that they can't take payment out-of-pocket for medication. When I asked "What do uninsured Americans do when they are issued a prescription? How do they utilize this facility?" She absolutely lost her mind.At this point, I began recording the interaction as she was punching boxes now and verbally combative. When I asked for her name and license number, she refused to give that to me and it only sent her further into a tailspin. I don't know the woman's name (as she refused to give it to me and then shut the pharmacy down early) but she was an older, 50s-ish African American woman. The Pharmacy Technician was as calm as could be and very polite throughout the entire interaction, making me think this isn't the first time she's had to sit through one of these meltdowns by the pharmacist. This woman had clearly had a long day, but that was no excuse to behave in the manner that she did. The store is absolutely able to accept payments, this woman just didn't want to go through that process at the end of a shift and instead chose to react the way she did. She exclaimed "I'm not dealing with this today. I'm not doing it." Literally yelling at me as I was trying to explain myself and the desire to just pay for the medication. This whole interaction was filmed (I disclosed that I was filming to the pharmacist and technician with an "I don't Care" response given by the pharmacist.) and will be submitted to CVS Corporate. Luckily, the CCTV from the store should also show the pharmacist yelling and punching items behind the register to further support my complaint. Hopefully this incident will serve as a training aid for future pharmacists and employees on what can happen if you let your own bad day boil over into customer interactions. Unbelievable.Edit: 12/22/22 (The following day from the original review/incident)I was contacted by a different pharmacist at the same location. I was able to pay for my prescriptions out-of-pocket and did so with no trouble at all. I'm not sure what provoked the original pharmacist to aggressively deny me the ability to do that, but clearly it was possible and within the scope of the location's services. Thanks to the on-duty pharmacist of 12/22/22 for making this right!

This is a terrible pharmacy. I’m a Physician who was calling in a prescription for a patient. I was initially on hold for 10 mins and was hung up on and I was again on hold for another 35 mins and nobody would answer the phone. I was calling in a Rx for a patient and almost gave up. I finally got through after waiting for 45 mins. SHARON the pharmacist was very rude, I cannot imagine how frustrating it must be for patients when even a Dr can’t get through to the pharmacy to call in a prescription for his/her patients.

The store section is great, we are always getting a ton of coupons for free and discounted items- but the pharmacy…It feels like something goes wrong every time a prescription needs to be picked up (which is often). It’s either not ready and won’t be for at-least a few more hours or they try saying the insurance doesn’t work and it’s going to be 100s of dollars. Not sure why this happens every time and I always have to come back later for the problem to be fixed. Very annoying to have to deal with.

I have to give this store a low rating. Their customer service was bad. I waited almost two hours for them to fill a prescription that I dropped off the day before. They gave me a hard time while I waited. They wouldn't tell me their names (I wonder why). At one point, they called me a liar in front of 10 other customers. I have to give them a low rating.

Doctor called my RX in on Friday.Monday: We haven't filled it yet, but she's going to fill it tomorrow.Tuesday: Your insurance won't actually let us fill it until tomorrowWednesday: We actually have some new policies about medicine shipping and don't even have it yet, but we'll call you when we have it.Both the speed and the lack of communication (Dare I say complete lies to my face? Or stupidity? Maybe both?) are extremely disappointing. I'm a lazy dude, I'm not just going to switch to a new pharmacy because of one bad experience. This is the last one I'll tolerate, though.

I had my prescription go to here from the Med Express. I called while driving and she said it would be about 30 and would call when it was ready. An hour and a half went by and no call…so I called them. She was telling me that it wasn’t ready because they can’t get the insurance to go through (no reason why or anything).I’m sick and just need my meds, so opted to pay the cash just to get it filled.Part of me thinks they do it on purpose because others have had them do the same thing.Part of me thinks they intentio

I dropped off a prescription for eye drops for my canine who has an eye condition. At approximately 3:00 PM I was told it would take an hour to fill. They took my phone number saying they would call when it’s ready. They never called and after waiting for two hours after arriving home I called to learn they were closed! The hours posted at the pharmacy counter said 7:00 PM. Their website said closing soon at 6:00 PM. I drove there and arrived at 5:45 only to see the hours posted on the entrance said 5:00PM. So my dog has to suffer until at least 9:00AM tomorrow assuming the prescription was even filled. THIS IS EXCEPTIONALLY POOR SERVICE AND EVEN THOUGHTLESS! If I obtain the prescription tomorrow it will be the LAST TIME I darken the door of this poorly run pharmacy! Shame on you!!

Dropped my prescription off at about 6:15, went back around 6:40 to pick it up but had forgotten my ID. I told them I'd be back in 20 minutes, they said OK. Went back at 7:06 (I know it's past closing) there were still customers in the store and I needed my medication. They refused to open the doors and I was without my medication for the next day as I had no way to get back because we have a single car in my family, that runs at least. I had bought Shampoo earlier and the cashier, Jarret, was chatting it up with the other cashier there about hunting and accidentally shooting dogs. Not very professional of him in my opinion and will not be taking my prescriptions there any longer. (Edit) This is when it was St. John's pharmacy. They have excellent staff now, and I fill every prescription here.

They told me my meds would be ready at 2:30, then it was 4:30, then they just didn’t have my meds?? And then on top of that they wouldn’t help anybody is line ,there was at least 10 people mad and waiting and everyone was not happy it was the worst experience I’ve ever had from CVS

I normally have no troubles at this location and there is one of the Techs there, named Leanne ,( hope I spelled that right.) specifically who did more work than she had to for me to make sure I got the prescription I needed. If every tech was as diligent and kind as she, we would be living in a better world. Thank you Leanne!! You're AWESOME.

This place used to be a sleepy no name pharmacy until it switched to CVS and became a sleepy CVS. If you NEED medicine choose a larger CVS of Leonardtown or California that will be open when you need them if you need some aspirin from the hours of 10am-2pm maybe monday-friday they should be open LOL.

Horrible service. I have been on hold for 15 minutes and when she picked up I WAS HUNG UP ON!! Now called back and this rude, unprofessional person put me on hold AGAIN NOW FOR 5 MINUTES AND COUNTING. I finally got through and she said she wasn't hanging up on me - something with the phone. She did apologize. It's still frustrating the long wait.

This pharmacy is ridiculous web site says they close at 3:00 on Sundays which I get there at 2:30,and there closed first of all I wanted to get my medicine filled Friday which my insurance company would of done it but they make me wait till Sunday now Sunday rolls around and they close an hour earlier. After this I am changing Pharmacy's.

Was much better as St. John's Pharmacy, including later pharmacy hours.Pharmacy staff unpolite and huffy. Despite using CVS for over a decade, after moving from DC to Hollywood MD I have been so turned off by the rude staff at this location that I now drive to the CVS in Leonardtown ... over 15 mins further away.

Have been calling this Hollywood location for two days and have been put on hold twice and then they never come back to the phone. Other times, no one picks up and I've waited on the line for almost 15 minutes 4 different times.
