I adopted a Lionhead bunny 2 months ago. He’s the sweetest bunny EVER!!! I named him Sven. The owner is very nice and answers my questions about rabbit care. I would definitely recommend her.

If you’re looking for a Great local pet shop look no further. Denise was amazing as usual and unbelievably knowledgeable about every question asked. We have been to HM’s many times and 4 times we have purchased. Our new addition was a Leopard male ball python that is simply gorgeous. They had everything we needed in addition, and even the 1st meal free. My son was so happy when he got home and put his 1st snake in its new habitat that it brought him to tears happy tears that is. We couldn’t be more excited. Highly recommended

Saw this place on W-BEL news and figured I’d take a look. Do not go here. I took a visit and was beyond disgusted by the lack of care for these animals. Mites in most tanks, and improper care all around.These two gargoyle geckos were even fighting in their tank. These animals should not be housed together… very cruel.The tanks look like they have not been cleaned in months.

Owners are the sweetest most helpful people! They truly care for their animals and it shows. Do they ask that you invest in your new pet? Yes. They should. No one would deprive a dog of basic necessities and happiness. A bearded dragon shouldn't be different.Oh, and prices are more than reasonable. Generally I think that small businesses have outrageous prices. Not these guys.Stop by. You won't regret it.

Very cute pet store! They offer a great variety of pets, as well as lots of supplies to keep them happy and healthy. I also love that they do their own custom kits to ensure the pets get exactly what they need. I will definitely be referring people in the future!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place, we drove from Delaware today to pick up our new little exotic babies. Left with an axolotl and ball python. Though I didn't get a chance to meet the owner I did initially talk to her and she was so helpful. Her son aided us today and let the kids see all the animals and it was such a great experience that it wasn't boring for the little ones who just spent an hour cooped up in the car. Definitely worth the trip and they have so many different animals and species it was just awesome all around. Will Def be going back for any future additions to our little zoo. Thanks so much! 💙

Went in to the store for the first time today. What a wonderful experience. Got two ferrets. The owner was so nice and explained a lot of things to me. Answered all my questions went above and beyond to make sure I was knowledgeable about my new fur babies. I will be going back to buy my ferrets food from there and any supplies I will need for them in the future .

I was going all the way to Essex to get rats for my baby (mocha) and someone hipped me to this spot. I've been going ever since.The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly!Their costs are also good and the quality is phenomenal!

I have nothing but good things to say about this pet store. I have purchased numerous pets from this store and they have all been happy and healthy. The store is always clean with a clean smell upon entering, enclosures are always clean, animals are fed top of the line appropriate food. The owner Denise is above and beyond in her knowledge of the pets she sells as well as her son Stephen. I’m sure this store puts in much more than they get out of it. You can definitely tell that their priority is the care, quality and well being of their animals first and foremost. Thank you HMs Reptiphibians for all you do!!!

I went in there for the first time today. I had inherited a older female turtle and the friendly owner was so kind in helping me get cork bark, for her habitat, and live worms to feed her. I loved all the animals and reptiles who all appeared happy and well fed. I definitely will going back!! My turtle loves her worms and bark.

The smell of urine and unclean conditions hits you in the face before even entering. It was absolutely awful and lingered on our clothing even after leaving. I have never experienced such terrible conditions in a pet store.The rats were balding and a hairless/sick? rat had cuts on its hind legs and body. The number of flies around the reptiles were alarming with unclean enclosures.Another sad thing to see was the condition the rabbits. As a rabbit owner myself, I know that they are absolutely not providing the necessary space or living conditions necessary for rabbits.The rabbits are sitting on the floor in cages directly across from a very large snake.I have no idea how this establishment has stayed open and the lack of accountability from every complaint or comment that’s not praise should tell you all you need to know. Being in the business for money vs actually caring for the welfare and education of animal husbandry is gross :(

I Love this store! Coming In looking at the new variety of animals and the wealth of knowledge from the owners. They will make sure you are setup with the enclosure and things needed to make sure you are setup for success with your new addition to the family.Reading some of the reviews sounds like some don’t understand how some reptiles are kept. I wish people would ask questions before they post such ridiculous reviews. Keep up the great work HM!

Lovely small, well-kept store. Quality over quantity here. Came and got a little guinea pig girl to add to our herd. Lady was pleasant. Quite a bit of reptiles, some ferrets, rabbits, gps. She also sells some animal crafts. Got a cute hamster tumbler and keychain!

Very cute animals and exotic reptiles. The customer service was great and the gentleman working have insightful information on their lizard that roamed freely. I highly recommend to stop by just to even browse. You never know what you might learn.

Love love love this store! First they are knowledgeable about their animals. Then they have different animals/reptiles. First time seeing a micro squirrel. And I love supporting local small businesses. It's not easy to find live pinkies, I also get my dubious roaches and crickets

We visit this pet store at least 3 xs a week! Ms Denise is super friendly and has extreme patience with my kiddos who always ask a million and one questions about all the animals. She is very knowledgeable on all of the animals in the shop. It’s very clean and organized. Support local businesses :)

Small, local place. Seeing ball pythons, blood pythons, and a BCC/BCI in-store added to the experience. I appreciate the cleanliness of the store too.I talked to the owner's son the first time I visited. He was incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about snake keeping, breeding, and the MD reptile community. It was refreshing talking to someone who was passionate about the hobby (considering how toxic and opinionated the hobby can be).Will definitely stop by again.

Went in the other day with my son. Explained we were gathering information to possibly buy a snake. (My son has aspirations to be a herpetologist, 11 yrs old)The owner and her son were there. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They patiently answered a myriad of questions with a smile. We will definitely be back. I was completely amazed at how awesome they treated us.Love this store!!

DO NOT BUT PETS FROM HERE. Would give 0 if I could. Bought a baby snake from them and within the 2 weeks I had her she refused to eat. Called the owner multiple times and got nothing. The snake unfortunately passed away due to the refusal to eat. When I called the opener I got an attitude and her trying to tell me I was lying. I have multiple other snakes from other REPUTABLE breeders for years and have never had any issues. Saddened for the loss of a pet made worse by an uncaring and irresponsible shop. 0/5

I got my ferret baby a couple months ago (back in march) he is now a couple months old and absolutely adorable. Forgot to make a review, extremely nice service, prices were really fair, I paid $300 for my panda ferret. The lady who sold him to me (I apologize I don’t remember her name) was extremely helpful and nice. Answered any questions I had about him. Thank you so much!

Nice little pet shop.We are getting a pair of sugar gliders (father and son)We are picking them up in 2 weeks.Already put a down payment on the whole setup and glidersWe are so far.Local pet stores that carry sugar gliders are hard to find.

Very knowledgeable and familiar with how picky of eaters ball pythons are. I bought my baby from a large chain pet store (mistake #1) and was having a hard te getting him to feed. Got great advise from the owners on different ways to get my snake interested in his food to save me a vet bill to get the same info. Lo and behold my baby is eating!Also even though he saved me from going to the vet about this, did still recommend doing ageneral wellness check on him and recommended the only place that sees exotics in the area.

We get our snakes their fresh killed food every week from Steven. We haven't found anywhere else around who does it like they do. My daughter loves looking around the store at the new pets each time.
