They got us in quickly and were very caring and gentle with our very sick 12.5 year old pup. He’s got some very serious issues, and the doctor and staff were very accommodating in helping to make him comfortable. They followed up with us and even made a house call. Super sweet and supportive. Sandy is feeling a little happier and better and getting tons of snuggles!

I can’t thank the staff and Dr Otero enough.De Otero acted with precision to quickly identify a serious issue with our Benjamin Franklin. She got us set up with an emergency vet surgery center right away and saved our boy’s life with her actions and quick thinking.

Dr. Otero is the best around. She is caring and put our minds at ease with our sick pup today. Vet tech Bill was also great at handling our boy. He was so gentle and sweet with him. We wouldn’t take our dogs to anyone else. I trust them with Dr O and her staff. She knows her stuff. She takes the time to explain everything to you and answers all your questions. She truly cares about animals and it’s shows. From the moment you check in to the moment you check out, you always encounter friendly staff there.

If I had to describe this vet in one word it would be outstanding!! I’ve had my dog for seven years and I’ve been searching for a vet that knew how to deal with animals….sounds crazy right! I’ve taken them to other vets who even deal with horses and couldn’t handle my dog. My dog has anxiety and fear, because of the other vets that have hurt him. Anybody that approaches him talks to him he’s friendly with. He has never hurt anyone. The staff is wonderful staff too. I can’t say enough about this vets office. Thank you!!! 🐶🐾

Sweet employees and cheaper treatments. Only 4 stars because when they were clipping my dogs nails, they trimmed to short on almost every nail and she bleed. Since she’s scared to get them trimmed. Other than that, wonderful service

I visited Galena Animal Medical Clinic recently with my father and his dog, who has been a patient there for just a few months. The staff was immediately welcoming. Dr. Otero was thorough in her examination. She's also very personable. We left feeling like Gus was in very capable hands.A follow-up phone call to the office was returned at 6:30 in the evening by Dr. Otero. Obviously, she had been working all day and had still made the time to call and discuss concerns. It gave me confidence in the care my parents' dog will continue to receive and I think that's what most people are looking for when they have animals that they love.

Galena vet was very courteous and caring when it came to getting my cats hernia repaired and spayed ! They were very helpful with questions and made me feel confident about leaving my fur baby in their care!!! They also cared enough to call the following date and get an update on how she was doing! Super kind, friendly staff. I chose to change to this Vet afterquestioning several other pet parents . I drive past old Vet to travel an extra 30 minutes to Galena. She volunteers around the county, with her staff at rabies clinics held for low cost shots. She prices medicine below what you can find on line, same for special diet foods. We love the line of dog and cat collars with matching leashes.

Excellent medical care from a knowledgeable, kind professional- that's what's important, and that's what we got!The office is not huge and a bit remote from where we live. If those things bother you, this isn't your place.However, we have a 17-year old cat. We thought he was going through dementia. Instead, the doctor figured out it was actually temporary blindness caused my diabetes. And now it has reversed thanks to the care and treatment we received! 😊

They're the best!All my "household" pets get seen here. 2dogs, 2 cats. They clip their nails. Keep them up to date on shots, discount flea, tick and heartworm treatments if prebought for the season.They imported all my records from Baltimore easily. They have good rates, not too expensive and take great care of my families pets.

My dog is up to date with all her vaccinations and Galena Animal Medical Clinic fit her in right away when she was attacked by what proves to be a rabid fox and then provided a rabies booster. We always have good care here.
