It was decent. The hand dipped was better than the soft serve. Had a chicken sandwich and lemonade. Took a while to get the sandwich, but the ice cream was fast. Meh. Would just rate it as OK.

We waited for about 5 minutes to be waited on even though there seemed to be a plethora of workers around. I got the dirt sundae and it was HUGE but I’d rather have had less boring ice cream and more toppings. There were a few large chunks of Oreos but not enough to be considered “dirt” , they should have been ground up. The way it was made the hole top half slid off and onto the table as soon as I set it down. The gummy worms were good and they gave me plenty of those. It just wasn’t proportioned evenly for the amount of ice cream there was. By the time I took a fee bites all the hot fudge was gone and I was left with plain vanilla ice cream.

Let me tell you something about this place. I dont know if they are just uneducated or if they are racist against black people but EVERYTIME i go there i ask them "can you put this in a blender to make a milkshake" (ive only been there twice since it opened this season) and they tell me no and make up some bullcrap lie. So let me tell you, the first time i went, i wanted a chocolate shake with gummy worms blended in (weird, i know, thats not the point). The woman tells me we cant do that, the gummy worms are too hard (okay but coldstone can, okay but ritas can, what yall got back there a hand churner????? Grow up). So im like whatever, i got a chocolate shake with strawberries. THE SECOND TIME and this is where im like okay either these people are messing with me cause ima black woman or they really are idiots, well i ask for cotton candy ice cream with chocolate chips (weird taste i know thats not the point). This woman tells me the ice cream is too hard to put in a blender. DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID????????? she said the ICE CREAM was TOO HARD!!!!!!! Then proceeded to serve me this ice cream in a cup with a weak plastic spoon that started melting after two seconds.I hate this place bruh im not even gonna lie. Like are yall stupid or just lazy??????????

We have been to the Freeze a few times. A favorite stop in Frostburg. On this trip had the hamburger with fries and onion rings. Really high quality and they cook to order.Worth the 10 minutes wait. Finished it off with the funnel cake sundae. Super good. I wish they sold the funnel cake sticks as a separate item. The ice cream portions are large.It seems like all of Frostburg either stops in on a summer evening or drives by and honks the horn. Great small town atmosphere.

Great place! The girls that work there were very polite. We heard of a ice cream cone they have called the "turtle". Its vanilla ice cream with caramel in the center. Then, its dipped in chocolate and finally covered in nuts. Its amazing! The prices are reasonable! Well worth going there!

My family and I love The Freeze! Our dogs do as well! Great ice cream with so many choices, and even better food! I love how they hire high school kids and give them a chance to get some work experience under their belts. It has been that way since I was in school and I think that is awesome to have a place of business that does that in our small town!

My boys and I stopped here as we biked across the Appalachians, and got shakes, malts, and burgers. The food was excellent. The prices were amazing. The shakes were great. Not excellent, as they were a little bit runny for my taste.

Fast service, great prices. Loved my butterscotch sundae with Ricky road ice cream for less than $4. Great quality. My friend loved her root beer float. They also had lunch options, chicken, burgers, etc., And shaded picnic tables.

Excellent little roadside walkup. Burgers, appa, excellent chicken fingers, ice cream. Everything cooked to order so dont be in a hurry. Ice cream stuff comes out right away. Great place to support.

Excellent service, prices seem very reasonable, and it was very clean. I had deep fried cauliflower and fried mushrooms, and my little girl had a vanilla cone with sprinkles galore, for $13 I was beyond satisfied! Thanks!

Visited on a summer Friday evening. There were other people of all ages enjoying cold treats on the large patio. Received very large servings of soft serve and hand-scooped ice cream. Overall a great value, friendly and fast service, and a nice throw-back to old-timey dairy stands. Would go back next time I'm in the area.

This place is just wholesome to me. Amazing icecream and superb food. Never ate actual food here until two nights ago. Stopped with my daughter to get milkshakes because they have the best and was hungry. So I decided to get a cheeseburger. Most places use perfectly circled patties flash frozen then thawed each day. This burger was amazing. You could tell it was actual hamburger that was partied by hand. I will forever come here to eat when I'm hungry.

If only rating the ice cream, I'd give it a 5+. Unfortunately, the teenagers working there were very inattentive of customers. I watched as I ate my sundae--people waited to get served and the line backed up. Guess I was that young once too lol but as I said, the ice cream was great so I'll definitely go back.

I have been to a lot of places that serve soft ice cream & this place ranks at the bottom of my list. I have no idea what brand or grade of mix they use but i can tell you its not very tasty. Definitely won't go back they don't have much competition that's what keeps this places doors open because the ice cream sure doesn't

Nice little hometown tasty freeze. They offer a variety of menu items. I had the wet nut sundae, never heard of it before. It was walnuts in a syrup, very good. Plenty of parking.

Grew up with this place and still enjoy the time of year for Frostburg Freeze to be open. This place has great food and treats from your childhood to modern day. Boston Shakes and Chills, one is a classic and the other is their version of a blizzard. Love this place!!

First time going to this establishment June 6, 2021. Stop by here to get a couple big T burgers and a fry wasn’t busy there was only three people working I would say they were steady they were rocking and rolling on the ice cream in the cold drinks out front but the gentleman in the back cooking food took forever. I was there for almost 30 minutes to get two sandwiches and a fry then when I receive them they were cold and it was supposed to be made to order the hamburger just tasted like I’ve been sitting around cheese was not Melted and on the big T burger they put mustard which ruined the taste of the thousand Island dressing very disappointing for my first visit.

We went there at 820 stood in line for 20 mins when we got up to the window they say they closed the kitchen at 845 . they need to have one line for the ice cream n then one for people wanting food. We could of got food if we didn't have to stand in line for 20 mins . n it's there first night open for the season

We have tried this place several times and each time is a bad experience. Soft served ice cream melted within minutes. Contacted through Facebook and never received a reply. Took the kids for ice cream and my children said thank you upon receiving their ice cream and older women ignored them. If you are looking for good ice cream and friendly service you won't find it here. Ordering food takes a long time as well. Check out Livys for your ice cream needs.

Basic softserve, sundaes, shakes, malts, and floats, as well as burgers, chicken, and fries. No drive through. Order at the window; there is only outdoor seating, some under an awning. They do take credit cards but there's a small fee.
