The food was a level below fast food, the owner was rude and foul mouthed, and I knew someone who worked there who was quite satisfied with the job but swore to never eat there I asked why and the only problem they relayed was that there was a serious cockroach problem in the kitchen and mice droppings as well. So that was enough to never eat there again

This small, little-town restaurant is pretty good. Not much ambiance, but the food is satisfying. Could use some updating, especially the bathrooms. Great for a grilled sandwich and desserts aren't bad at all. Service can be slow at lunch time, usually one server only.

Good comfort food. Better than other similar restaurants in the area. Salisbury steak is great. Love their corn fritters. Service is always good. Lots of locals eat here regularly. Great choice of delicious desserts. Very cozy atmosphere. I've never had a meal here that I didn't enjoy. I'm always able to find street parking. Can't wait to go back!

Cute diner really enjoyed our time there. three of us went there and the server was really helpful as to what we should decide to get. Our food was out quickly and the food was really tasty! This is a great place.It is a smaller place though so sometimes you may have to wait depending on the crowd, also I would sit towards the back of the restaurant during the winter because as people come in it may get chilly at the tables right next to the door :-)

Awesome food.Great prices and service. Get there early. Don't forget to stop by the Firehouse across the street and grab some gear and a 6 of Hearts entry or a surprise cooler entry.Get some.

The food was excellent, but the "small town" vibe was more like a, "Who the *bleep* are you?" vibe. Actually had a table MOVE AWAY from where my friend and I were seated, after one of the ladies implied that we smelled bad. The server even treated us badly. Her idea of a greeting was, "What do you want?". No, "Hello", no "How are you?" just "What do you want". Never came to check on us after bringing our food, we had to wave her down just to order dessert and get the check. The food was amazing, but we were so uncomfortable I think I'll just order to-go next time... As someone who's served tables for 4+ years, I was honestly taken aback at her attitude. It was like they wanted us to leave from the moment we sat down.

Very poor attitude!! First time, will not go back. Entered on the bar side and walked around to the table side, as we entered we asked the waitress about a table. Her response was check the bar....There was only two of us so we didn’t want to sit at a place for six so we sat at a table that had dirty dishes. I thought they would clear it soon. Ten minutes later still dirty dishes and no service. When the waitress finally came around with coffee to serve other tables she looked at us and I told her we wanted to be waited on and I pointed to the dirty dishes. No apologizes, no customer service she gave me an annoyed look and just nodded her head. Waited a few more minutes still nothing so we left.Very bad first impression. Stopped here because the reviews seemed to be positive.

This place is like going to Grandmas tiny house. You enjoy the time there but can't wait to leave, and you probably won't visit again for a while. The crab cakes and carrot cake were tasty and our server was great! They get an extra star for the service.

Had a great experience here several times the last time my husband and I were in and we had to eat on the other side which was at the bar for breakfast but it was awesome food awesome company everyone's very friendly. Breakfast servings were huge and delicious and the atmosphere was quaint in a small town. They are super busy here all the time but they will try to see to where they can such as the bar but we loved it it was very interesting

Food and beer fantastic. If you ever have a chance to visit emmitsburg I highly recommend this tiny restaurant. Staff 5 stars, Food 5 stars. Not a long wait on orders. Quick, we'll put together and yummy.

The food was good however we found 2 long hairs on the same plate. One on the toast and one under an over easy egg. We mentioned it to the server and hopefully she told the kitchen staff and manager.

The Palms is a great local restuarant. We've been going for years and never have a bad meal. The crab cake specials are awesome .. no filler here. I have some dietary needs and they are always open to working with me.

It's a nice hometown place what food we got was hot but it was just a regular take out of the freezer food except for the homemade crab cake with her special recipe which I think they forgot to put the special in it the waitress was good when she was there but honestly I would not revisit this place

Charming little place. Two out of towners had a good service, passing thru town. Food is good, home style comfort food. Nothing fancy, but hits the spot and reasonable prices. Would eat here again if in the area.

Service is terrible because it takes to long for the waitress to get to you. The waitress never checks back to see if you need anything or any refills. Their BLT'S ARE DELISH.

I am not one to post reviews. But this has been bugging me for weeks so I have decided to share. Essentially, my grandparents came up for the first time and we were treating them to lunch. Place was empty except for 1 table. Waitress refused to accomdate our family by allowing us to put 2 tables together. Mind you we had an infant. Long story short, we had to sit at 2 seperate tables and away from eachother because there was not enough room between tables to sit back to back. Then I was told I couldnt put my infant carrier on the empty seat "because it would block from somepne else sitting there. " The tables were too close to begin with. So I had to put the carrier on the filthy floor (see picture). Would have left but my grandparents who struggled to walk up to begin with, I didnt want to force to walk more than needed. Then , the waitress failed to get our tables drinks, brought food that was not as described (missing ingredients... i.e. pizza supposed to have peperroni and it didnt and was a store bought crust). Never refilled drinks. They only had 2 other couples. Then still floors were still dirty and tables from earlier guests before us still hadnt been cleared. A couple came in and sat at a dirty table for the waitresd to finally clear it. Go to OTT HOUSE or STRAVOS across the street.
