I had a disappointing experience at Safeway Pharmacy, largely due to the poor customer service provided by Stephanie, the pharmacy manager. Despite being a loyal customer, I encountered a lack of empathy and professionalism during my recent visit. Stephanie’s dismissive attitude only added to the frustration of an already challenging day.For a better customer service experience, Safeway Pharmacy should prioritize empathy and understanding, especially for patients who may be having a rough day. A little compassion can go a long way in making customers feel valued and respected.Due to this unsatisfactory encounter, I have decided to transfer my prescription to Amazon Pharmacy, where I hope to receive the level of service and care that was lacking at Safeway. Or at least I won’t have to deal with human who may be having a bad day. Disappointing experiences like this should serve as a wake-up call for Safeway Pharmacy to reevaluate its customer service standards.

Honestly a ok store not bad but not good. Something that really annoyed me was there hair/makeup section because they made the prices go up like 10$ per product, an example was these lifter glosses which is normally 8$ but they marked it up to around 17-18$ that really sucked because there was a lot of products in the makeup section that was really good but very unaffordable because of the price mark ups :/

I placed an order online for a cheese tray and sandwich tray. Went to pick it up on a Sunday morning and the employee never received the order. Made a comment that there have been problems with online orders in the past. Whatever the issue is, it needs to be fixed. On the plus side, I met a very helpful, compassionate employee, Vivian, that was working behind the counter and stepped up and made the trays for me in an hour. She was extremely empathetic and helpful. Thank you so much Vivian. 5 stars to Vivian, 1 star to the online ordering system.

This store is renovated and really nice inside, especially with the tables they have set up at the entrance with all the promotional items all organized. The only thing I don’t like about the store is that it did not have the ready meals stocked, which seems to be an issue at all the Safeways in Howard county, at long gate and Harpers choice. That is a big inconvenience because Giant always seems to have prepared foods in stock. Hopefully Safeway can fix this problem and I would give it 5 stars.

This store is by far the worst as far as pricing and service. Sale prices never convey at the register and assistance is always required. Items consistently mispriced or you need an app or you need a coupon or they forgot to take down expired sales, etc. Sale labels applied to wrong items or mixed in with other items to further complicate check out. This is not a one-time occurrence; it happens every time, every single time, I have to go in there to pick up a prescription and I have the misfortune of trying to purchase something on sale. Waited 15 minutes for manager, George, who didn't really listen and gave me the standard lip service without any offer to resolve their error. Don't waste your time here.

I had an appointment for a Covid shot, and I had received a confirmation. Pharmacist snapped at me, “you have no appointment in the system”. And when I tried to show her the confirmation on my phone, again she snapped “ some times it doesn’t work, go fill out a form and bring it back to me when you’re done”No eye contact, no please or thank you. in fact no courtesy at all. Why?

Excellent customer service!!Clean organized store.They are quick to assist you, and nobody is mad or angry looking.Store stays stocked, and their fried chicken is amazing.Do check it out.Happy Holidays my multicultural peoples..* Perhaps this is due to different staff.Update: July 20, 2023I was told that my sales were different than yours. I may get 2.99 you may get 1.99 for the same item.I told her I didn’t believe her and she got hot!!Told me to call “ Corporate “.Whoever Corporate is.. we all need to tell them sales should be the same for us all.What are they doing, clocking our bank accounts with their Safeway app?? How do they decide who to charge more?Now that’s a great question for Mr. Corporate. I had the terrible experience of encountering one of the Starbucks baristas, I believe their name is Zoya? They were rude towards me and had an untowardly attitude. They also messed up my order which was just a coffee! I have never had a bad experience at this Starbucks, but this was the first time. I do not approve of their service.

Very courteously asked the gentleman in the seafood/meat department to steam 2 LBS of shrimp with Old Bay seasoning. Not only would he not do it, he starts telling me about his "years of experience" would not allow him to do it. Totally escalated a simple request to him yelling at me as I left. So if you want to be told how to cook, eat, buy your groceries, this is your place.

I’ve been shopping at Safeway for nearly 8 years. I don’t particularly come to this Safeway often but it has a larger selection than my local Safeway. Would have received 5 stars if it wasn’t for the rude self checkout guy. I’ve looked at the reviews after my experience and apparently there’s a variety of reviews about the self check/bag police guy. Won’t be back at this location!

Pick up option not good. Why price was going up after some items out of stock? Safeway app need more improve. Doesn't make sense and manager not helpful. Really upset and dissatisfied.

Don't use the pick up option. I was trying to save time so I ordered some things for a 5:00 pick up. Wasn't ready until 6:15. Then when I pulled up and tried to check in using the link they emailed me, it said technical difficulties, try again later. So I had to go in and get my order. I thought the pick up had to be easier than shopping in the store because they NEVER have more than one lane open, but, nope, pick up was just as bad.

I needed a set of boutonnieres and corsages for prom this year, and Maria Hourihan from the floral department was extremely helpful in this process! I have never purchased either item before, so she guided me through the process and gave great suggestions for what colors and styles I should go with based on the outfits. She handmade the items and they were ready right on time for when I needed them! They looked beautiful and I couldn't be happier with how they came out. Thank you for your kindness and wonderful service, Ms. Maria!

Love our local Safeway. Convenient. Plenty of free parking. Staff is very friendly (especially the folks at the florist shop and the deli counter). Always well stocked. Lines are usually not too bad unless you go on a weekend (but, you kind of expect that). There are a lot of other grocery choices around us. But, we keep coming back here because it gives us everything we need.

This is a clean and well stocked store. I have a suggestion for the bakery. I come there to get bagels on weekend mornings. Unfortunately, the other Safeway stores in the area usually only sell day old (or linger) bagels in the weekends. This store usually has them, but they are always over baked - almost burned. Just a suggestion - a little less time in the oven will produce a better product!

This store is usually more well stocked than the Giant down the road. Also, I have never had an issue quickly checking out. The self checkout is staffed, and the lines weren't long. I've only been about 8ish visits, but I've started driving the extra 2 minutes.

I have never had a good experience at this Safeway. Every employee is rude and the experience I had today was no exception. I went to the self checkout and was having trouble with it registering my reusable bags. This rude employee came over, tersely tells me to take my bag off after practically shoving me out of the way to scan his card to clear the error then when I went to register my reusable bag again I hit the wrong button and he in a condescending tone tells me that my reusable bag is too heavy and to select 3 bags and that that's what he was trying to tell me. How in the world am I to know that my bag was to be treated as 3 bags? I don't work there and I've never had issues elsewhere and I certainly did not need the tone from him. I will never be going to this location ever again.

Decent selection. I personally think the meat prices are a bit expensive compared to other grocery stores. Frustrating self check out, the machines error out frequently and the associates watching them have a tendancy to wander off. On one occasion, the associate watching the self checkout registers was very aggressive when the machine errored out over a bag that was too heavy and the manager had to get involved.

A clean, well lit, organized store with good hours but high prices. Some of their sales tags aren't accurate. For instance I bought almonds supposedly buy 1 get 1 free and was charged full price.In addition, the old hag who works the register at night is always rude no matter how friendly you are to her. You have an easy job you ungrateful, shrivelled up shrew. Count your blessings and treat your customers with respect.

Good selection if items, including some ethnic ingredients. Usually have very good produce. The meat/seafood butcher is always very helpful. Staff is friendly, I've only ever had a problem wth 2 of the workers (one slow, one flirty). Everyone else is great.

I used to love shopping here, but the last couple months, no matter the time of day, there's 2 cashiers open, with one being express, and the line backs up quickly. Today I said, whatever I'll do the self checkout even though I had a cart full. Barely any bags and ran out towards the end of my purchase. Not coming back unless I need 1 thing. The lack of cashiers seriously sucks.

Safeway at Ellicott City, Maryland on Rt 40 near Centennial Lane has one of the best florists. Maria made a corset for my daughter's prom. It is so beautiful. Maria Reyes makes beautiful flower arrangements. I highly recommend that you go to that florist for your flower needs.

I've been quite pleased with this location, except one thing I've experienced repeatedly, which is the quality of fried chicken from deli section. Why is it getting worse & worse? Meat is lie hard rubber every time, skin is hard crusty & oily like if they refried cold fried chicken to resell... I found other safeway are much better this this location.
