I recently visited Main Street Oriental Rugs looking for a stair runner. The owner, Mr.Bagha, was very knowledgeable and accommodating as i looked through numerous samples.The store has a huge selection of beautiful rugs to choose from.Robert, his installer, did an excellent job with the installation of the stair runner and they are making a matching, custom rug for my front door, free of charge!I highly recommend you visit Main Street Oriental Rugs the next time you need to purchase any rug for your home. You won't be disappointed.

Very pleased with the repair to my kilim’s damaged fringe (see images), the cleaning it received, and the overall impression I got of the business. The selection of carpets is expansive and includes old, new, small wool pieces, very large lavish pieces of fine silk, and everything in between. Mojan is very good at his job; I am convinced he has a mental inventory of every rug in the store, which is kind of impressive. His listening and people-reading skills are extraordinary so I am pretty sure he will be able to find you exactly what it is you’re looking for, even if you don’t quite know what that is. The quote for my wash and repair was transparent. I will be back when I am looking for a new rug.خیلی ممنونم

My beautiful 20 year old rug looks like new again! I am so amazed that the colors are again so vibrant and are so clear. I have purchased a few rugs from Main Street Oriental Rugs in the last decade. I recently needed a rug for a sitting area space. The staff was very accomodating and helpful and patient as I tried to find just the right rug to fit my space as well as my specific taste. Their customer service is superb as well as their extensive knowledge of Persian Rugs. If you want personal service with huge selection of rugs, then come here! You will not be disappointed!

Had a wonderful experience at Main Street Oriental Rugs. Mr Bagha was so knowledgeable and friendly. A ‘no pressure’ sales. Mr Bagha and his team patiently walked us through the various types of rugs available, knew exactly what we needed and found it in his impressive inventory of rugs. Most importantly, Mr. Bagha allowed us to take the rug we were interested home for the evening to see if we liked it in our home. HIGHLY Recommend Main Street Oriental Rugs!!

This place is fantastic! If you want high quality rugs that will last you decades, this is the place to go. The owner and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They also do an amazing job at cleaning and repairing your rugs. We just traded in a 15 year old rug to get a great discount on a new rug. These people are the best!

We had a really great experience at Main St. Oriental Rugs. The owner, Mojan, was very helpful and helped us learn about the different types of rugs as we were shopping. Didn’t feel pressured, and instead got a nice exposure to many different types of rugs until we found the one that was right for us. Absolute scam fromUpdate 2So here is a copy of the receipt ….How about you claim that one of your shop staff made a mistake and sincerely apologize … that would look much betterUpdatedWell I have the receipt to proof the transaction and the rug was securely wrapped in plastic white opaque wrapping ( it neither showed color nor smell) so while receiving it I never thought of checking it !Original post:Brought a rug to be cleaned.Paid $150+ for my wool hand knotted rugwhen I received the rug it smelled and looked like they haven’t touched it !!!Not sure I’d trust them to bring back my rug and argue with them that they didn’t clean it !Such a scam !

I had two antique, art deco rugs serviced here. I had my silk one washed and had the edges binded and I had my larger, wool one binded as well. They were very helpful with getting them from my car, communicative about suggestions for maintaining my rugs, and I felt the prices offered were very fair. Now that we have settled in the area I feel comfortable saying that this is going to be my store for maintaining all the antique rugs in our home. I'll return!I do recommend for others to try to come by during the weekdays before 3pm as that's the most likely time to get closer parking. Main Street, Ellicot City can be a little finicky with parking. There is a "loading only" parking area right across the street and that parking is valid for use for this business while bringing in and picking up rugs.

I purchased a new Oriental rug at Main Street in early May 2021. All staff were very helpful. I contacted the store before arriving, and they had located rugs for me that were the size I wanted. Once in the store, they helped me find additional rugs, and offered a take-home and try the rug out service. We did that and ended up purchasing a rug. It is beautiful. We highly recommend them.

Wonderful experience! The owner is very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. I recommend studying their online inventory before you go and coming to the store with a good idea of what you want to look at. Otherwise, 3000 rugs can be overwhelming!We are thrilled with the beautiful Chinese rug which we bought.

If you looking for a beautiful rug for your home and you want to trust you are getting a good one, definitely explore your options at Main Street Oriental Rugs. So many choices!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous options!!! I bought my first rug in 2011 (the green one below) when I first arrived in Baltimore and my second one today (the amazing red and blue)! Excellent service and no pressure--the owner even offered to let me take a rug home to see if it would work in my home without purchasing it first. The two men did a lot of lifting for me so I could see a number of options--so grateful for their patience with me. I appreciated the expertise of the owner and the education he provided me as they showed me options. The colors and the quality are amazing, and the prices seem fair to me though rugs like theirs are significant purchases for someone like me. I am thrilled with my investment today...and very grateful for the discount I was given.

We were walking down Main Street and happen to come across a shop with a bulldog wearing a rug and thought it was pretty awesome and decided to go inside. Behold there was an entire rug store we just never noticed before. I started casually browsing and the staff was very helpful. We weren’t in the market to buy a rug but this one collectible pictorial rug caught our eye in rolled up in the corner that we absolutely fell in love with due to its artistic uniqueness full of meaning. The owner was very informative and even asked to take it home and see how it looks. We took a week to figure out the best place for this unique piece and the staff was very accommodating and helpful along the process. We definitely recommend this store if you are in the market for high quality rugs that may end up becoming a family heirloom lasting generations.

This was our second purchase from Main Street Oriental and we could not be happier! We worked with Mojan Bagha both times we purchased carpets. He nd his staff are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their inventory which is amazing! I was looking for something to work with our colonial green colored dining room. Apparently green is not a common color for oriental rugs but Mr. Bagha took on my quest and worked with us patiently to find the perfect rug. We are delighted. We will most certainly go back here again for carpet cleaning and/or repairs (if needed in the future) and any future purchases. I can't say enough about this establishment. One of a kind and right in our back yard!

We recently purchased a beautiful rug from Main Street Oriental Rugs. There were many fine touches throughout our transaction that made our purchase an easy one. Their website is kept current with their inventory, and the pictures are excellent. If you like what you see on their website it will be there in the shop. Mojan is very friendly and willing to share his vast knowledge of the region and its connection to rug making. I should also add that he helped us get our purchase to our car on a busy Ellicott City festival weekend and had a custom pad cut to make sure our rug has proper support. We couldn't be happier with our purchase.

I was pleased with the three rugs I purchased in April 2023 from Mani Street Oriental Rugs. Mojan made suggestions on size and color for one of the rugs we were considering. It was less price but a lot larger than the one we were considering. He maintained that a rug we liked was undersized and would be lost in the proposed area (based on pictures we brought). We took his advice and the three rugs all fit beautifully and, while having dissimilar colors and design, blended surprisingly well with our other furnishings. The area is more relaxing and my wife got an early birthday present.

I had 8 rugs that were in rough shape. Not only were they dirty, my dogs had chewed on most of them, the fringe was frayed, and they had pet stains. I considered getting rid of them. I am so glad I called Mojan. All rugs were cleaned and expertly repaired. They look brand new! This is not the best photo but you can clearly see where my puppy took a nice bite out of the rug and after the repair you cannot even see it.
