K9 Heeling has truly been a game-changer for us! Our experience with them has completely transformed our relationship with our beloved dog. Thanks to their exceptional training, we now have more quality time to play and enjoy each other's company. Before we started working with K9 Heeling, Bowser used to be quite unruly on a leash, constantly pulling and tugging. But now, thanks to their expert guidance, he doesn't even require his training collar when walking off leash. It's remarkable how much progress he has made! Not only has K9 Heeling's training program improved Bowser's behavior, but it has also boosted our confidence as dog owners. We feel more equipped and capable in handling any situation that may arise. Moreover, their training has fostered a strong foundation of trust and cooperation between us and Bowser, making our bond stronger than ever.We cannot express enough gratitude to the K9 Heeling team. Their expertise and dedication have truly made a positive impact on our lives. We highly recommend their services to anyone seeking professional dog training. Thank you, K9 Heeling, for everything you've done for us and Bowser!

I adopted Drax in August 2023 at wicomico humane society and he is a very energetic love bug, but he had some very hard habits to break. I just wanted to bring him everywhere and it wasn’t possible since he was often TOOOO affectionate and dragging me to greet everyone. As a pittie, his love is often misjudged as aggression and I feared the day he would jump on the wrong person and have to pay the price. He loved playing tug with the leash and would NOT let go for anything, often resulting in me trying to drag an 80 pound dog back inside (not an easy job!) I reached out and decided on a 3 week stay for him where I got him back on weekends for him to learn some general obedience and leash walking, but I could still be a part and see him throughout. Although I was nervous about leaving him, plenty updates were provided via email and Instagram posts and videos. He LOVED his time there. Drax is now a great leash walker and more obedient. There is no more tug with the leash AT ALL. He is still a giant, cuddly love bug, but is more aware of how to conduct himself when told. I am now more confident to take him on long walks around my development, pemberton park, and the city park knowing that he will not drag me down. I cannot thank Sam and Mitch enough for all they have done :)

We have two small Yorkies - Whiskey (3) and Luna (1) - with VERY different temperaments and training requirements. We first took Whiskey to K9 Heeling based on the recommendation of a friend. We were struggling to train him and we lacked a sense of calmness in the house - our four pound dog was (at times!) running the show! With the help of Mitch, Sam and the team, Whiskey built a foundation of commands that improved things greatly! He knew sit, down, place, no, come, wait, how to heel, and his sensitivity and reactivity to stimulations was reduced. Based on that foundation, we have been able to add additional skills and introduce new stimuli on our own. After attending K9 Heeling, we really understood how to work with him. When we got a second dog - Luna - she had an entirely different disposition, and we leaned on Sam to help us with her training needs. What is so great about K9 Heeling is that they get you started on the path to having the dog of your dreams. . .a dog you love, that you can play with, that is your companion, and that listens to you and fits within your home’s dynamic. They are always available for questions and follow-up training sessions and we love boarding our dogs there because they get training refreshers and we NEVER worry about them there-we know they will be well taken care of and we love that they frequently post pictures on Instagram. Lastly, it is always nice when they come home with a bath and a fresh haircut :) I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We recently enrolled our Mini Aussie in K9 Heeling's, Day Training program. We found the trainers, Kelli and Sam M., to be knowledgeable, skilled, consistent in training principles, and very compassionate. Our dog was excited for each training day to begin. One of the hardest parts is to retrain the owners! We appreciated the written reviews of the day and still refer back to the reports to maintain the training principles. Really a top-notch organization. Highly recommend.

Having a hound can be challenging. My struggle has always been allowing Annie to be the hound she is, at the same time, both she and I having confidence and control.K-9 Heeling has done that. They are my choice to board her and they are my choice to train her.Sam W. did an amazing job with Annie. Not just with her training, but connecting with Annie. I love this, because Annie has a second home. That means the world to me.Thank you, K9 Heeling. For everything you do for Annie time and time again. For your patience and support. Thank you for your knowledge and understanding. She is your Annie Banannie too.

Great facility with caring and knowledgeable staff! We did 1 on 1 training with Mitch for our first dog, Oliver and learned so much! Oliver was a rescue with very little training and is now off leash trained after 12 sessions with Mitch. We were so happy with Oliver’s progress that we signed our second rescue, Freya up for the DayTrain program. Freya was a nervous girl, afraid of her own shadow! Kelli helped her gain her confidence while working on obedience training. We have seen a huge difference in Freya since her time at the facility!

Rucker was eight months old when we rescued him from the Wicomico County Humane Society. He was our very first rescue! My biggest concern was knowing how to communicate with a rescue that appeared to have been living in a very abusive environment . I reached out to K9 healing because I wanted the tools to be able to communicate with him, so that he felt empowered, cared for, and loved.Rucker and I completed a comprehensive program that lasted a little over six months. He and I trained together to build trust, respect, and create boundaries that helped him to have the freedoms he was intended to have a a family dog. I cannot put into words how valuable the training has been for the relationship that, I, my family, and Rucker have built together. I am so grateful for the tools that we were taught, because this has enabled me to enjoy my time as a "Dog" Mom and friend to a dog, who feels empowered, safe, and loved. K9 Heeling Is not your standard training center. They are a collective group of compassionate pet lovers who are experts in the field of specialized obedience training and offer lifelong care . Your dog will not just be a number at K9 Heeling. They will be part of the K9 Heeling family for life. My family will forever be grateful for the opportunity they have given us and the amazing relationship we have built with our best boy, Rucker. ♥️

Mitch, Andrea and ALL the staff are so amazing! They love our babies as much as we do and it shows! They send videos and pictures and the dogs are actually smiling, it makes me so happy and less stressed knowing my babies are in great and loving hands!!

Our newest dog was displaying some aggression issues. We went to K9 Heeling for training for both of our dogs. All our issues were resolved and a year later we have had no more behavior issues. We also take them there for boarding. Great place for training, having your dogs learn to socialize properly. We highly recommend K9 Heeling!

We had one in-person session with Mitch at K9 Healing and it was amazing, he spent time to review our information and learn about our misbehaved huge 9 month old Golden; observe, handle, test, challenge and correct him. Mitch knows his business, loves it, has the staff and facility to make dog training HAPPEN.Our only regret is that we didn't find K9 Heeling sooner. Our puppy returned home more manageable, loving and obedient and we more aware of our mistakes, looking forward to complete training.

When we choose a 3rd dog to add to our furbaby family we honestly had no idea how much work a lab would be! We have grown so attached to Camo and were finding it very difficult to deal with him the larger he grew, and believe me Camo grew fast. Upon training with K9 Heeling we quickly realized in kennel stay program was the right fit for our needs. We dropped off a crazy, high spirited puppy that jumped on people, nipped and pulled like crazy on a leash...what we picked up was a well trained, well mannered young man. Mitch and Morgan are the best ever. They sent us videos and updates along the way, and just made us feel comfortable during this transition time. We absolutely love Camo and K9 Heeling, would highly recommend anyone using them!

Our family has had an amazing experience at K9 Heeling! Last summer, instead of going on a family vacation, we decided to sign up for a twelve week package of family dog training. I quickly learned that it genuinely was more about training us, than our young dog Kaiya. 🤣 Once we understood how to communicate clearly with her, thanks to Mitch, we saw amazing progress. From the first moment we met Mitch, it was obvious that he had a special gift - not just with dogs, but also with people. He connected easily with our three children (12,14,16) and made them excited and confident as they worked with Kaiya.Halfway through our training, very unexpectedly, Kaiya had to be put down suddenly at 16 months due to a neurological issue. We were so heartbroken. Mitch and his team were so kind and generous! He even agreed to start early training with our new puppy, Kenna. I am happy to report that she is doing well! What a difference our new knowledge has made!We highly recommend K9 Heeling to anyone we meet! If you have never done dog training, go for it! You will not regret it! If you want a dog that is reliable and that you can confidently take anywhere, K9 Heeling is the place to start!

Mitch is a genius when it comes to animal behavior and how to help promote obedience by changing our behavior, running through practical scenarios, and practicing skills. We took our dog here 10 years ago and now working with our 9 month old son and his relationship with our dog. Love this place so much!

2 years ago today our baby Crusoe died at this facility due to overheating. He was rushed to the local vet but it was too late his temperature was 106 which means it was at one time even higher than that. I'll never forget the pain and anguish losing Crusoe caused for us, especially in this way. Never getting to say goodbye. I had only wished we never used this place, we would still have our baby Crusoe today. We've always had our chance to say our goodbye's and this one was robbed from us. You're getting the warning we wish we would have gotten. This is on you from here.

Are you too wondering if you should...I had a sweet wonderful puppy that I kept debating, "why am I sending her"- "it is such an investment", "it feels so long".But I did it!After having our girl back a week, any doubt has been replaced with affirmation that this is BEYOUND VALUABLE ! Our loveable girl has remained just as sweet, but has transformed into a devoted, well-behaved member of the family. This training has made our ability to enjoy and expand our experiences together even more! The training was fantastic- but also the entire staff loves these dogs and what they do! Such a well run, organized program!I would say- Yes, Do it, you will not regret it!Best Choice Ever :)

I took my 2 year old dog to K9 Heeling after multiple reviews and word of mouth. I was nothing less than stunned with the results I got!Due to current conditions I did not get to see all of their facility, but from the outside and videos I received I could tell the facility was top notch.Mitch was very professional when discussing what I hoped to gain from training and what he could provide. And he excelled in his delivery. I can’t wait to board my dog with them and go back for follow on training. Big thanks to K9 Heeling and I highly recommend if you are looking for a trainer, talk to Mitch and let him tell you just what he can do.

Mitch was wonderful to work with and was outstanding with our pup! He was like a dog whisperer when we brought our pup for training! Our pup was very well behaved in Mitch's presence and responded very well to his training. We were very pleased with our experience at K9 Heeling and would highly recommend!

We have used all services that K9 offers, from boarding to Board & Train to in-home training. Mitch even came to our house on the day we brought our puppy home to assure that we were establishing a good routine from day one. Mitch’s dedication and insight is so helpful in allowing your pet to positively mold into your family lifestyle! His wife, Andrea, has recently come on board and offers a perfect business complement to Mitch’s dog expertise.... a winning combination for sure! We are approaching 5 years with K9 Heeling and it’s never been more apparent to us, as we see other’s pets, that our time and investment with Mitch has been invaluable.

Mitch and the team at K9 Heeling took great care of my Jack Russell Terrier, Jack. He is 4 years old and previously had significant trouble being out around other dogs and people. He spent a few weeks at the facility (an amazing place) for routine training and socialization and the results were astounding. Not only was Jack trained, but so were we! We learned how to correct our most common issues and set much-needed boundaries. Jack now goes to many different places and is able to pass by other people and dogs on long walks. He is more confident than ever before and so are we! Thank you K9 Heeling!

We adopted our dog from a shelter. In addition to having a torn ACL & therefore being in pain/physically debilitated, he also had severe emotional issues as a result of being torn from his human family & put in a shelter as well as being separated from the other family dog at the shelter. Initially, he had severe separation anxiety from me & would poop, pee, & vomit whenever I left the house. He would also get aggressive w/my husband when he tried to come between us when I tried to leave. We really didn’t think we would be able to keep the dog. Fortunately, we reached out to Mitch at K9 Heeling before we gave up. We left our dog w/K9 Heeling while we were on vacation for 10 days. He came back a different dog. Mitch then taught us how to continue our dog’s training at home. Our dog is doing so well now & everyone who meets him loves him. We are very grateful to have met Mitch & his staff. I also feel very comfortable boarding our dog there when we go on vacation & our dog loves going back for the K9 Heeling socials. Don’t give up on your dog without tryin K9 Heeling first!

This is our 2nd time taking our dog for the Board and Train program. I loved the periodic updates and pictures/videos showing the progress. Very professional and courteous staff who make you feel like family. Its improved not only our dogs quality of life, but ours as well. We can now take our dogs on vacations, on our boat, to the beach, anywhere we go, and have the peace of mind knowing they are going to listen and follow commands. Mitch and staff make you feel like family. Great job!

I just finished up 10 sessions with my blue heelers Dixie & Taz. K9 Heeling is the only place I would trust our fur babies to. Dixie does not trust people. She had a very bad experience with another trainer. This left her scared of people she did not know. She would hide behind me & bark like crazy. She would not let anyone near her that she did not trust. We were told she could not be trained. Taz loves everyone but he got very strong with me on walks when he would see people & other dogs. Dec. 2018 I decided to call K9 Heeling. I was very happy when Mitch was happy to help us. Each session he worked with me on how to communicate with my pups. He really took time to understand Dixie & what she had been through. What a difference !!! I can now take both dogs out & enjoy the park or where ever we choose to go. Yes, we still have work to do but we are moving forward in the right direction thanks to Mitch, Andrea & the K9 heeling team !!!!!!!! To people reading this : Call K9 heeling !!!! Dog training is cheaper then therapy & you will have friend for life with your fur baby that is very happy !!! You can trust K9 Heeling !!! This group is the best of the best. You will not be sorry.

Went here 3 years ago, was a total transformation ! Mitch is a awesome guy, friend, & extraordinary trainer. I call him the dog whisperer of the Eastern Shore. Just dropped them off today for a regular Board while we go on Vacation. The great thing is they get some fantastic training while there and get to socialize. I recommend to everyone for sure !

These guys are amazing!! Let me start off by telling what’s in my house I have an 11 month old baby brother, 9 cats and 6 month old American bully who can be a knuckle head but he’s always been a good boy even from the start. I’m 17 and he’s my first (when I mean first I mean this is the first puppy I’ve been financially responsible for) so I didn’t really know how to really train him very well and wanted make sure he knew when too rough was too rough, so I sent him here for 3 weeks. Abby was Meliodis main trainer but everyone had a hand in helping to make him the well behaved boy his is today. Everyone was super nice and super flexible and when he ran out of food they picked up some for him so we wouldn’t have to drive to them.Abby took him on multiple field trips, one was even to the beach! I’m so thankful these guys were here, I’ll be bringing all of my future puppies here.

I’ve seen plenty of dogs go through K9 Heeling from puppies to your average dog to rehabilitation cases and I can’t say enough good things. Mitch really cares about what he’s doing and is always trying to improve his methods for the dog’s success. This is the best place around!

Highly recommend these guys!! For me and my dog both having high anxiety, I found it extremely easy to get along with Mitch, his wife and his team. I needed help with having my dog around other animals. He taught ME how to train my dog starting with the very basics all the way to having my dog around 20 some other dogs. You guys have really taught me alot and made me a better dog mom. Cant say how much I appreciate yal! Susie n Claire
