No, no, no. Find someplace else.Any grocery store bakery is better and any Starbucks is better. The baked goods have no flavor and are dry. The girl behind the register was lost, no clue of what is sold. The Barista simply has a bad attitude. We were there Saturday afternoon at about 2, no one in the store and these two were in a coma. No hello, no Hi, can I help you?

So lovely that I kind of don't want to tell you about it. Amazing coffee and fresh baked good selection with lots of non-dairy milk options, outdoor seating with a really nice vibe in the heart of Old Chestertown, and if those aren't enough, friendly staff and affordable prices. The cherry on top is that they seem to take good care of their employees although saying that mainly because I saw one of them caring for a baby in a bassinet. So happy to see that! I'll definitely be going back!

We planned to take a detour to visit this bakery, on our way to Rehoboth, on October 4, 2023. Both the Americano and , Expresso were outstanding. The seeded baguette was just out of the oven and was the best baguette we've had in the U.S. You have to travel to France to compete with it.Parking: Very limited parking spaces.

I had the best Snicker Doodle Latte from Evergrain Bread Company this weekend. I was with several other people and they each enjoyed their different flavored lattes as well. They had several traditional flavors as well as holiday specials. The bakery items also looked delicious. Would definitely recommend for a nice afternoon pick me up.

Very good bakery. Sun buns, buzz bar and baguettes and croissant s are awesome. How do they make those sun buns taste so good on 0 calories; must be solar powered. Was a little suspicious about the buzz bar til my wife explained it had honey in it. I only got a corner but it was great. Often there is a line but it is worth the wait. Get there early for best selection of pasteries

Visited on 4/15/2023. I'm not a local but this isn't my first time at Evergrain. It's always my first stop the first morning whenever I'm in Chestertown. The service typically matches the beautiful baked goods. Not today. The cashier was sourfaced and made the most unprofessional comments to my husband when he asked if they accepted Apple Pay. She finished with: "Not only are you inconveniencing me, but you're inconveniencing everyone behind you." After picking my jaw up from the floor I told her I hoped the rest of her Saturday got better.Customers should not be treated this way.(and they didn't have any sandwiches available...bummer)

Loved the sun bun!!! Wish I had tried some other things. Also had an iced caramel coffee, which was very good. The staff there is so helpful. Lots of people were walking out with the baguettes.We found the staff at every store throughout the town to be very friendly.

Stopped in for lunch and got a chicken salad sandwich. There croissant it was on was amazing, but everything else was average. My husband's coffee was okay but they wanted to charge $1 for refills. There weren't many pastries out at this point in the day so I couldn't try any sun buns or croissants or anything - just cookies and brownies.

Evergrain is easily the best spot for coffee and baked goods in Chestertown! My only critique is that they don’t have an option to toast bagels. I love everything about this place except that when I want a warm, toasted bagel with melty cream cheese, I have to wait til I make the 30 minute drive home to use my own toaster. 5 stars in my heart ❤️ 4 stars on Google for lack of toaster

Lovely bakery and coffee shop with the best employees ever who really know what they're doing and just want to help you. The bakery is amazing with a very wide variety of stuff: a tip if you're going to go here is go early in the day because they slowly lose pastries as the day goes on and I would recommend the sunbunFeatures: Did not have indoor seating

I stopped in with a friend last Saturday and was blown away by the variety and quality of pastries and breads in the bakery of such a small town. I was compelled to try three items--all fantastic.Over the years I have had pastries made from croissant dough, and they were doughy in texture, but the croissant dough base at Evergrain was easily comparable to that of a patisserie in Paris. I hope to stop in again when I return in October.Bon a petiteDebbie

My dad stopped in today to grab 3 sunbuns! Best we have had in a few times we have gotten them. Very puffy, flaky crusty outside and just perfect texture inside. Wow! Great with a cup of coffee. TY

Their bread is very good. It is beautiful and has a great flavor. It's a little hard to chew but nothing too difficult. I got the veggie sandwich and the turkey sandwich and both were fresh and flavorful. I also bought the blueberry muffin which was amazing, sweet with a generous amount of blueberries. I purchased some of their half price day old bread and it was great. I will definitely be coming back, its a Chestertown treasure.

We purchased two lattes for over $10. Watery, not very not, flavorless. The drinks actually seemed to be made with water and - no milk at all and no coffee flavor. We didn't purchase any food - but other than a $37 cake and a few desserts, there wasn't any food TO purchase. The staff was nice and it seemed clean. The sweets looked delicious. But ... the drinks were pathetic.

Almost perfect— but what kind of bakery doesn’t have a toaster to offer toasted pastries? I understand that many pastries are decidedly best if served at room temperature, but bagels should at least have the option to be warmed and toasted. Instead, I had the blueberry muffin and chocolate chip cookie and they were both excellent. I also had the cappuccino and is by far the best espresso I’ve found in Chestertown. Service was basically friendly, yet I was a little affronted when the barista was bemoaning having to make another espresso drink, I can understand that sentiment on a busy Saturday morning, but it should be kept to yourself.

Small batch bakery and coffee shop. Make sure you stop in early so they have the best variety/quantities. Everything we had was delicious, including the lavender latte and brown sugar latte. We drive over an hour to support this business and the Saturday morning Farmer's Market. This is a must-try location if you are in the area!

If you are visiting Chestertown, a stop here is highly recommended and the local favorite is the sunbun. Pretty much everything here is delicious and you can’t go wrong.Their sandwiches are amazing but be warned, they only make a certain amount and once they’re sold for the day, that’s it.Really nice place to hangout and study, read or socialize with a couple of friends. Coffee is nice and fresh. Service is always good and an overall welcoming vibe.
