This is a decent thrift store and as it's really the only one in the area, if you like browsing thrift stores, it's worth stopping in every couple of months.Some of the pros: friendly employees, clean store and pretty well organized. And an above average book section with a ton of books, hardback and paperbacks, for $0.25 each. The antique/furniture section looks decent but I usually don't browse that section of the store.One con: the clothes don't really seem to be organized by size. This makes it harder to shop. At least this was the case in the men's clothes. I didn't browse the women's clothes.

Great thrift store alot of stuff almost anything you can think of been there in found clothes that still had the tags on it alot of house hold supplies books nice size clothing section

I love hooks and hangers. For the most part, they give you a great thrifting experience. However, only downside in my opinion. I believe a lot of furniture pieces to be over priced. Not all. But a good bit.

Always ENJOY shopping this thrift store in Charlotte Hall. Never know what neat items you will find. Reasonable prices but have noticed all the Goodwill and other thrift stores have raised their prices a bit. Store is always kept neat and organized when I am able to get there.

So not impressed today. And it wasn't at the items, it was at the employees. Got overcharged and caught it, then was told that it happens when they are closing out the receipt, except it was in the middle of the receipt and happened when I stepped away from the register to grab something else, then heard that it happens all the time. Wonder how many other people get over charged and don't even realize it because they don't get a receipt.

I love this store and I come weekly! Always have good kinds and reasonable prices. My only complaint and warning is don’t dare go there when they are close to closing. Staff is extremely rude and turn the lights off in the store and ride your a** to check out! Guess they are making enough money they could care less about customer service. 😳😡

I usually have good shopping experiences at Hooks and Hangers II. I've been going there for years, but now I doubt that I will go back. St. Mary's County does not have a mask mandate, but today I was told to put on a mask if I wanted to shop at their store. I left and spent my money somewhere else. I'm very disappointed that this store doesn't follow St. Mary's recommendations, (like I said, there is not county wide mandate), nor allows their customers the freedom of choice. I wish them luck.

Love the selection and price here. I always end up finding something. Definitely takes some time to sort through the stuff, but so does any thrift store. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Great selection. Some things are a little overpriced but they almost always have specials. My favorite is the brown bag sales usually once a year, as many clothes as you can fit in a brown grocery bag for ten dollars !! (We fold them as small as possible!!)

Love going here to get DVDs for my son. They are always in great shape never had an issue & they also have lots of other good stuff & very friendly staff.

Very good variety of items: clothes, sheets and linens and pillows, books, kitchen appliances and dishes, toys, furniture, decorative things, sporting goods, exercise equipment - I think they even had a saddle and riding helmet for horseback riding at one point. Even if you decide not to buy anything and just window shop, it's fun to walk around inside and see everything they have.

In all honesty not bad although they should have things like dvd seasons and the like more clearly marked. Their sign should say that they are a different price than the dvds because it isnt on their sign in the dvd section.

I think the people who work/volunteer here are forced! I’ve never come across such rude and nasty people while trying to donate! (Either that or everyone in the front and back were having a bad day on the same day!) I can’t tell you what the inventory is - and I’ll never go back to find out. If I wanted to be talked to so poorly, I’d go see family for a holiday.

The store in Laplata prices are reasonable, neat and organized . The prices in Charlotte Hall are overpriced. It seems like Charlotte Hall has a bunch of junk. Not worth going there

This is a thrift store so I am a supplier and a customer. The store has a good selection of items that are of good quality. It is clean and the staff are very pleasant. They have a punch card system for purchases. Someone was on the ball with this idea.

This thrift store has a large variety of good, usable items available for sale. The staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable but not incredibly so. They accept donations of undamaged goods. Check with the cashier upon arrival or call ahead.

Books, CD's and dishes in abundance. It is fun to browse. I can always find something that I just have to have....although I do think that the prices are too expensive for second-hand. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Easy location to find, they try and keep everything in the right places which is hard to do when you're working with a little bit of everything from so many different brands and companies. Their prices are great compared to how expensive they can be for the items you purchase. The staff is always very helpful and attentive.

Always friendly, prices (exp on furniture) much lower than Salvation Army. Lately they seem to have more antiques, which, of course, are not going to be given away. The point is fundraising; the inventory always interesting.

This is a really well stocked thrift with a lot of high quality offerings. Clean stuff and cool creations. Definitely give this place a try when you have a little bit of time to look around.

The staff is so friendly. The facility is very clean and organized. There are always many bargains and a huge selection. My favorite thrift store.

I dont agree with some opinions on the review page but also i could care less about vhs tapes. I go looking for furniture, video games, card games, and other random things i may find. Also my wife buys lots of clothes and kitchen things here. Whenever I go theres lots of stuff i dont like but that is a thrift store its not a consignment shop. Some things are incomplete but if they arent familiar with the item i usually tell them hey this is supposed to have this etc. But I have found good games and furniture there. I go 2-4 times a month and everytime i go their book shelves are full to the brim. And if anybody is looking for old vinyl records this is the place to go. they have tons.

Very shady business we have been taking a lot of stuff there to donate and a laptop accidentally fell in some of the stuff we donated. We went the next day and left a phone number and name they told us we had to wait for them to go through the bags. We never heard anything back so we went a week later and they told us they sold it. I will never shop or take anything there again.

Good place, they've got everything you need here. I just bought a beautiful wedding veil $15 bucks!
