Try -1 star. Terrible.... I never had this experience at this location before ever. I am still TRAUMATIZED. I was treated like a criminal and I was HARASSED for no reason from the lady manager. A Loyal customer shouldn't be treated that way. Never apologized after she was CLEARLY WRONG after she harassed us after we left the self checkout. The manager fussed at the self checkout worker for not watching us at the self checkout.She even made sure to walk us to the door not even explaining what she was doing. I was so appalled and embarassed. She literally went to the door clerk and whispered to him to demand him to check our stuff and receipt knowing that's what there suppose to do to every customer. He checked and there was nothing so then she yells out "let me check your bag". I was so upset I was like "how dare you" I opened my bag and guess what...she found nothinggggg. Did she apologize or offer to make it right? No. I decided to go back and return everything and get my refund for $150 for 10 items that was clear as day in my cart. Customer service was terrible. She got snappy and was like "you want to return this because she wanted to check your items" Ugh no she literally escorted me to the front so I was harassed. Nobody else got escorted from self check out nor did she approach anybody else. Seems to be racist. All could've been avoided if she just had let me got checked without making a big thing to walk us down there and search my bag to find NOTHING! I will never shop at this location again.

I actually kind of like this store but I have had more than a few missing items on my pick-up orders. When I have gone inside to have the issue fixed I have been treated dismissively as if I were lying about not getting my items. On one occasion I was told by the service desk to go down to where they pickup collections inside the store but when I walked in the area, the exact place customer service said to go, one of the employees yelled at me for being there. I didn't go through a door, or into an obviously private area. It was just a little inlet at the front of the store where the pickers are. It's not worth saving $0.50 on a two pound pack of mozzarella to put up with this kind of behavior. I complained to customer service online and suprise, suprise, surprise, never heard anything back. These guys just do not seem to care, at all. It is kind of sad too because they have things I like and a decent price.

Every time I come to the California BJs gas station in afternoon there is No attendant.i present. I pay with cash. I had to call the manager to come over and attend to the store front. If you are going to come over in later afternoon there will not be an attendant here. They will be on a break and they won’t send a replacement.

Horrible customer’s services.They don’t even know what they are doing with simple technology. Just count how many items customer bought matching with receipt they show you .Even if they returned one just couple minutes ago .But they won’t let you go cause not match with the original plus with keep telling them I just returned one item minutes ago….20 minutes for waiting to fix simple thing ….POOR TREAT WITH LOYALTY CUSTOMER!!

BJ's wholesale warehouse in California, MD is an organized and a clean store compared to other warehouse type stores I've been in before. I've never had a hard time finding things in the food section of the store or in areas like vitiama or personal hygiene area but if you are looking for things like clothes they harder to find and not so organized. The employees are friendly the ones you might actually encounter. The self checkout is the easiest way to check out and not have to wait on an employee to be there or to move as fast as you need them to be. The worst place to find a employee is at the exit where there is suppose to be one to check you out so must of the time I don't wait because I don't have the time to wait for them to show up and do their jobs.

I would absolutely choose another wholesale if i had another option. Understaffed and the material is not as good as Costco, but let's face it, this is the only option within an hours drive. Electronics are generally sold with lower grade inferior components. This is why they have their own extra characters at the end of their part numbers. Food gods only mildly discounted. Occasional good sales.

I truly dislike this store. I got the membership for the gas. But never once have I gone there and the price at the pump match what was advertised. Most often, they are advertising 3 or more prices at the same time. Every employee I've encountered seems like they hate not only their job, but their entire existence. Prices are hardly competitive; the same products at nearby stores have the same or better unit prices. Get the chicken, top off the tank if you feel like, and go somewhere else.

The customer service desk is always unstaffed and the wait time exceeds 20 minutes—easily. The managers are incompetent—if you can even find one on duty. I’d rather spend my hard earned money at Costco.

My favorite place to shop..Many options to choose from.. Employees are extremely helpful and friendly ☺️ always enjoy going to BJ's and I have also introduced my parents to the store and they love it also..Prices are awesome 💯

The store is always fully stocked and clean. The line can get very long, but there are a lot of registers and the cashiers are pretty good at getting you scanned pretty quickly. I always to spend a lot, but everything lasts a long time since it's in bulk.

Do Not Use Express Checkout At This Location! I've used it twice. Supposed to be quicker, but it's not. The first time, the guy at the door had to scan like half of my items. Not bad, but the battery died and had to wait until he changed it. The second time, the battery was dead when I got there. The door person didn't have a replacement so I had to wait until someone brought one over. Meanwhile, all the people I bypassed waiting at checkout are paying me at the door. Fix your system BJ's.

Good prices... absolute joke for customer service! Attempted to call and speak with someone at the tire center only to be put on hold for 15 minutes at a time and then hung up on. After finally getting a hold of someone at the customer service desk, they transferred me to the tire center, only to be hung up on again. Called back customer service only to find out that they didn't have anyone working in the tire center that day as they all quit. All I wanted to do was confirm they had the tires in stock that they said they had online. According to their website, they had what I wanted in stock so I ordered them online and set an appointment for 11:00 a.m. two days after purchasing. The very next day I got a phone call from BJ's asking if I wanted to purchase tires. I advised him that I already purchased online and set an appointment for the following day. The gentleman advised me that the tires were in stock and that my appointment was confirmed. The next morning I got a phone call from BJ's tire center from a very nice gentleman named Al. He advised he was called in from another store as they had no one else to work. Al was very apologetic and advised me that the tires they said they had online, and told me were in stock, we're NOT. I said that I needed the tires for inspection and I'd already scheduled an inspection appointment for later on in the day. He only had 3 other tires in my size in stock and advise me he would honor the deal I had purchased online and order the 4th tire to get me through inspection and I would have to come back to get the 4th installed. If it wasn't for Al this would be a 1 star review. This isn't the first time I've run into terrible customer service from BJ's!

Horrible shopping experience. This store is laughably mismanaged. Half of the checkout stations were closed. Not enough staff obviously, but also several of the self-checkout stations were turned off.Consequently, the line was backed up all the way to the back of the store. Ridiculous! And this from a store that charges YOU to shop here. Oh, and blaming COVID for your staffing problems is no longer a valid excuse. Perhaps firing Mgmt personnel would be a good first step to redemption.

I used to like this place but now I feel like it's run by idiots. I tried to come in 25 minutes before they closed and they wouldn't let me in. Freaking ridiculous. This is the fourth time they've done this in the past year. About to consider a membership at Costco instead of BJ's. I already drive to Waldorf to get most of the stuff from BJ's since this one charges more for most of their stuff then any other BJ's in Maryland

It's really disappointing to walk into this club and only see 4 staff members at a time. They are so understaffed that the GM makes the night manager do Online Orders/Bo-Picks until she decides to show up. Brittany Eley is so inconsiderate to her staff and customers. I saw her in the deli with 3 new staff members not wearing any hair nets in December after she mad the deli crew quit. She never does anything and will refuse to help you because she "Broke a Nail" Ive also heard her speaking poorly about employees and gossiping about them as well. I spoke with a few different staff members and they too told me how incompetent She is as a GM. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed to be a BJ's Customer. Unless conditions change for these poor Staff members, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

At the time of spending several hundred dollars at this store, not a time goes by that at the end of cashing out you get nickel and dimed on your coupons. Happens every time. “Oh, you got a 28 pack of Gatorade, and this $3.00 coupon is for a 24 pack”. “Thanks cashier, I just spent $400. Can I get $3.00? You don’t sell a 24 pack, this was the only size” ... “Sorry, the coupons not for this product”. I always leave this store angry. Always. Everything else is good. But that always makes me mad and I have trouble letting go.

I HATE coming to this BJs which is truly a shame b/c it’s a good store but the greeter/ receipt checker man that’s there in the mornings is so rude ! Every. Single. Time. I’ve been in there. I asked where the carts were and he said “ you passed 3 cart returns walking in the parking lot”. Most places don’t want you taking the carts out of them b/c them bring them in the store and sanitize them. This isn’t the first time he’s been rude and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Generally decent experiences at this store, but the tire department is atrocious! Bought 4 tires on BJs website and was told to make an appointment for tire install. I chose Saturday at noon, which was the 1st available. When I arrived at 11:45 on Saturday I was told they were backed up and still working the 1030 appointment. The store opens at 10. How in the hell do you get 90+ minutes delayed in the 1st 2 hours of operation?. It is now 2:15 PM and I'm still waiting.It's a tire shop people. It's not like you do suspension repairs or tune ups on exotic imports. One person can mount, balance, and install 4 tires in under 30 minutes. I know. I've done it!

The Store manager, Brittany Eley, is an incompetent, deplorable degenerate who is an habitual liar and scam artist. She is a disaster with no expertise or skill. Her ability to solve customer complaints is dismal at best. I have never encountered such a vile and disgusting representative of a business in all of my life. I would encourage anyone who shops at this location to make sure they do their due diligence in purchasing the right products, getting the right information, and making sure there's no room for error or reason to return. The management (or lack thereof) is apparent and Brittany Eley should be terminated and never allowed to work at any retail store - ever in her life. She is incapable of customer facing responsibilities.If negative 100,00 stars were available that still wouldn't suffice.

People here are always very friendly and helpful. You have to watch your prices, though. Some things are a great deal, others are significantly cheaper at Wal-Mart. And definitely take the time to go through the coupons I always save $20+

Love the deli staff in particular ... My favourite lady always takes the time to do it right and always has a smile. I buy lots of cheese slices here, and she always off sets them so they are easier to separate, without being asked. Thank you VERY much!!

I love buying in bulk here and order for pickup all the time. I just wish there wouldn't be something wrong with every other order. Either something is moldy like the hot dog buns I bought today. Or something is missing from the order but not canceled and so forth.

Being a BJ's wholesale club member and a couponer can definitely take advantage of great sales not only because they're wholesale but with the books or I should say the coupon books that are sent to your home being a member you can find great deals. But also not like Walmart if the lanes become long for check out a new Lane is opened immediately to relieve the congestion. But on a further note I enjoy the concessions that are available as if I need a hot dog or a simple Pepsi from their fountain

I have been a BJs member since 1998 and have always had a good experience shopping and with the products they sell. I purchased 2 Adirondack chairs from the store in Riverdale NJ and brought them to a home we just purchased in Virginia. One was good the other had obviously been opened and had a damaged arm due. To someone incorrectly putting it together and had a pice hat was too big. I called the store and spoke to Brittany in customer service. She was the absolute BEST customer service person I have ever dealt with. I explained that I was having friends from Fla up to see my house, had little furniture etc and really needed the chair. She spent the time to go open up another box see what I was missing AND on her way home from work dropped it off at a shipping place so I would have it before my guests got here. She was friendly pleasant and put the Service in Customer service. Brittany is a rare gem that BJs is lucky to have. Just wanted to thank her. By the way the chairs are Great

Husband was told to put a mask on his face today. Front staff was informed he had asthma and they told him to read the sign. We visit BJ’s quite a bit and we well aware of the sign. Sign states, “A face covering is required by government order when shopping at the club unless you are able to wear one for health reasons.” Of course this upset him since he has a hard time breathing and the company is not abiding by their own sign. BJ’s has lost our business.

Great store on the Inside! On the Outside-different story. The parking lot is in need of some serious help! There are no lines for spaces in the parking lot. People just kinda Park however they want. It's very annoying.

Knowing its going to be a nice weekend, nobody to work registers. Line goes from one end of the store to the other. I know cuz people don't want to work. But still understaffed..selfcheck out does not count...

Prices are ok. Could have a better selection of food at times. Sales aren't really great though the occasional 25cents off gas is nice. Pump has a $100 limit though.
