Weathervanes of Maine was easy to find, being right on the direct route to Wells from Rt 95. There was a surprisingly large selection of weathervanes and other yard and garden items, including wind spinners and solar lanterns. We found just what we were looking for and thought the prices were reasonable.

My wife and I just purchased our new cupola/weathervane from Danny, the owner of Weathervanes of Maine. We looked all over the internet, but liked the idea that we could buy it locally from a third generation family owned business. Since it was installed by our roofing contractor, we have been inundated by people wanting to know where we purchased it.

It started out fine. Project was explained clearly to company. Then it all went bad. Wrong mount shipped. Customer service does not exist. Two separate customer service representatives actually hung up!!! One couldn't be bothered with actually listening to the entire voice message left, and then the next dummy that called asked me for the same phone number 3 times. This was supposed to be a pleasant experience as I was buying my sister a very special birthday present. I also asked for the owners name twice on each call, and then got the hang up. I WOULD NEVER BUY SOMETHING FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING YOUR DEPOSIT. THE TWO EMPLOYEES I SPOKE WITH SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY FIRED!!! I hope the owner reads this and takes prompt action because her/his employees clearly don't understand how important customers are in running a successful business.

I came here a few days ago to leave a negative review. Apparently, that got back to this company and they called me and told me how they planned to rectify my problem. That's all I needed. They are very polite, offered to ship w/charge and I'm looking forward to getting the stake I need. It really is a beautiful product.

This place is awesome. Hard to find weather vanes and a special concrete statue section that has everything for your yard. I looked everywhere for gargoyles. Now i have a twin set over looking our property. Just awesome

Went there twice. First time lady working there was helping customer for quite sometime. We stood there and was never acknowledged. We left and decided to come back the next day. When we returned the next day a younger guy was working. We bought 3 concrete statues and other yard ornaments. Spent $300 dollars. I asked if he could wrap the statues in bubble wrap since they are fragile and we were told no they don’t have wrapping materials. Really, for this type of store. So my wife and I started to carry out the statues to the truck and he just stood there watching my wife carry this out without offering to help. He said he hurt his back carrying them in the past. Man up dude or get a job at a stationary store. No thank you or suggestions on how to care for the statues. Nice stuff...wrong employees.

I purchased what was represented online as a "copper mailbox". It is one of many designs currently listed for $199.00. "Copper mailbox" is deceptive. The mailboxes are a basic black metal mailbox available from Home Depot for $19.50 covered in a paper this sheet of stamped copper with a design. I strongly encourage Weathervanes of Maine to described their products accurately so consumers know what they are buying, and to adjust their prices accordingly. By no stretch of the imagination are these copper mailboxes. "Black metal mailboxes with a design on a thin strip of stamped copper overlay" is suggested to avoid deception.

Owner, artisans, wonderful work in brass, copper, beautiful variety of weather veins. Try to leave without picking something, cement figures, bird feeders, Solar lights mailboxes, garden decorations, hand crafted and other delights.

I can not speak highly enough about this company and the people there. I have purchased two weathervanes from them and required one of them to be repaired. The repair was performed quickly and the vane was returned in better then new condition. If you are buying a weathervane buy it from Weathervanes of Maine, they make them and take pride in there work.

Very interesting copper weathervanes and whirlygigs. Well worth the visit. We just bought a copper mermaid holding onto the back of a dolphin. Stunning!
