After having a cat that was eliminating inappropriately around my house for far too long and not having the funds to keep doing further testing as well as many veterinarians refunding humane euthansia had to make the choice to surrender, with this facility I felt so understood and they were more than kind throughout the whole thing, no matter what ended up happening to him I know safe haven humane has his best interest in mind, it’s not very often when someone surrenders a pet that a staff member will say they understand and they know you did your best but this facility does and for that I’m grateful

People who complain about this place are ignorant or failed to meet the basic standards to adopt a cat. These people are incredible, the facility is wonderfully clean and bright, and the kitties here are cherished and loved while they wait for adoption.I had the best experience adopting my two new kitties here! Everyone was friendly and eager to help me find the right ones. They let me spend time with the cats, and even loaned me a carrier to take them home. They truly care about their animals. Thank you so much, Safe Haven!

The website says to come and visit, but when we got there we were told visits are by appointment. We were fortunate that the lady there let us have a tour of the place. They have a lot of cats! I hope they all get adopted. Thank you to the volunteers for all they do.

You can't adopt if you have screens on your windows even if you NEVER use them. You have to adopt kittens in pairs! Clearly their main objective is to make it impossible to adopt a single kitten. I have a beautiful home, an amazing set up for an indoor cat, and a healthy income. But I'll be going to a different shelter where they actually want to find great homes for their kittens.

My baby - was not happy at my home with myOther animals …he was peeing on everything for a long time…finally i got the courage to start looking into giving him up for adoption…a member of my Family Volunteers at Safe Haven and suggested I Reach out…they were very quick to respond and help me and I couldn’t of asked for a Better group. It only took 9wks for my baby to find his furever home. I am so thankful for all they did for the one who had the best fighting chance to live a long happy life. Spoil him rotten! And I Hope He knows I will always love him.

I’ve volunteered at the shelter this past summer. Yes, some cats are paired for adoption but not all. Working there for that amount of time I have found nothing but people who genuinely care and love these cats and want to ensure they will be placed in a loving, safe, forever home.

Rude! We went in at 10:50 didn’t realize they didn’t open till 11. We were asked if the door was unlocked. When we said yes she replied they didn’t open till 11. I apologized not realizing what time it was 10:59. we left and door was locked behind us. I was shocked when I realized the time.

This is a great place where the cats are clearly cared for. The people working there want the best for the animals and are doing an amazing job. Definitely a nice place to adopt a cat or even visit for a bit!
