OK here’s the deal. This is an outdated resort there are cigarette butts, littering the ground garbage in different The rooms overall are not bad. The beds seem comfortable and our room was impeccably clean, the front desk was awesome. Pool beautiful, this resort has so much promised and needs a lot of work but overall the stay was great.

Good functional bedroom, easy check in and nice staff. No facilities as in photos such as pool or tennis available in early Oct which is low season. Continental breakfast was very poor and rusty old fridge Stale cereal and only white bread or high sugar pastries available. On healthy side found a banana and coffee.Rooms: Bedroom was clean and functional so ideal for a one night stopover. Great New England Diner next door with vfm fresh fish and seafood options.

Never come here again. Staff was fine, but, complementary breakfast was disgusting. Rotten apples, bananas with so many fruit flies. Sink was filthy, bagels were moldy when I took one out of the bag, dirty breakfast room. No towel rack in room, not 1, heater did not work, broken, tiles missing in shower wall, ceiling had drainage damage & ceiling pieces didn't fit right, patio door which was your way in & out was so difficult to slide, curtain with rod would continually fall. Need I say more?

To start off the breakfast was Aldi pre packaged food. They didn’t make an effort to make it presentable. They left the food in the package, which was mini muffins and donuts. Not a real breakfast. Also the room itself, especially the beds were outdated. Needs a remodeling job to fit a more modern look. Also it talks about a basketball court when it’s just a cheap hoop on a small piece of pavement. The tennis court also has to be redone, as it had lots of cracks in it. The owners seem more money driven than welcoming. Only positive aspect was the employees seemed to care about the guests. And the pool was taken care of pretty well.

Bathroom old and out of date. Toilet clogs easy and is not attached to the wall. The desk chair is stained. The bed hard and on thin metal frame. Smelly not sure what it is. This is a 1.5 or 2 star. Would not stay here again.Rooms: Never again. Needs update.

I feel bad for this place. Good potential, and once great, but I feel like the new owners got lured into hosting the homeless, then the homeless trashed the place and rooms. Keep your eye on this place because if they owners fix it up and no longer take in the homeless, it's going to be a hidden gem. I'm rooting for them! Best of luck guys!

The room was definitely outdated, but it had everything we needed. Floors were dirty but everything else was clean.The pool was nice, and there’s lots of space on the premise.The pet fee is $20/night which is much cheaper than most places.If you want to go during the peak season then everything else is very expensive or booked much quicker.It’s a little far to walk places, but there is a trolly!

Gross. There were dead insects littered all over the bathroom, the full-time "residents" made me feel a bit unsafe when I went outside. Absolutely filthy, loud and questionable safety.There was no breakfast. The front desk attendant double charged my credit card. I eventually got that straightened out, but not without going back and forth with the credit card company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If there were a no star option it would be it. First of all the grounds are in terrible shape with cigarettes and litter all throughout the grass. The room was very dingy and outdated with a 1970s look. The smell of odor and cigarette smoke in the room was awful. The room also very dirty and needing updates, cob webs, rusty coat hangers, stains on the ceiling. I appears many people also live there. Three police vehicles pulled up to a domestic dispute directly above the room that we stayed in. The breakfast was laughable; two cereal containers, stale donuts, and a bowl of half rotten fruit were all to be found in a filthy pavilion. The property in serious of needs of repairs. Photos reflected on their website are not reflective of actual conditions. Embarrassed for my Mother and two boys staying here and if there were other locations last minute to go to, we would have. Only saving grace was the pool, not heated as advertised either and the area also messy. A disappointment all around.

Under new ownership and it shows. Pool advertised as heated, but it wasn't. For years they served a great breakfast, Congdon's, as advertised on their website, except it was bad cereal and store bought doughnuts. Lids were too small for the coffee cups. Room was in disrepair and smelled. TV was broken and phone didn't work to call the office. Getting someone actually in the office is a miracle. Called for 2 days prior to our arrival and couldn't get ANYONE. Place has gone downhill bigtime. Cigarettes and trash all over the place. Pool was clean though.

The floors were dirty. The toilet was unstable and wobbly. The pool was foggy and dirty. The breakfast included was minimal (apples and cereal). Dogs are permitted, so there was a lot of barking and dog fights. The property smelled like dog urine. My mother’s room upon arrival had stained towels and a dirty cup left in the coffee maker. The website misrepresents how rundown and unkept the hotel is. This booking was very disappointing.

Gross. Handrails on second floor "balconies" are DANGEROUS. Most people staying there are permanent residents who walk around barely dressed and dig through there junk filled trucks and smoke weed. Pretty sure one of them overdosed while we were there. "Breakfast" is prepackaged Walmart Honey Buns. Room smelled like mold. Stay the heck away.

Room smelled, chairs were filthy stained, refrigerator had front leg missing, paint pealing off, cigarette burns on tub, floor spongey in front of mirror, stains and rust on bathroom ceiling. Grounds not kept up at all!!! No breakfast like it said. At checkout had to slip key thru slot in door. Took blankets from my truck to sleep on. No pillowcases. Absolutely the worst place I have stayed. Would have been better off sleeping in my truck!!!

My husband and I stayed Memorial weekend 2021 and will NOT be back! When we checked in we were told we were “upgraded” from our single queen bed to a double bed room as it was larger and so was the bathroom. I would hate to see what the original room looked like! The room we were “upgraded” to had holes in the wall and scuff marks. One section of the ceiling clearly had water damage that was poorly fixed. Our table was broken and “fixed” with electrical tape, the chair in the room was old and disgusting. There were old fire sprinklers that were rusted and clearly a tetanus concern on the wall. Our mattresses were uncomfortable you could feel every spring. One towel hanging on the rack had a hair on it and there was a hair in the shower upon arrival. We didn’t check in with a pet but were clearly put on the pet side of the hotel. The photos on their website are clearly old and left on purpose to entice you and think you’re getting a good deal.

Paid over $500 for 2 nights. Place was gross. Shower clearly wasn't cleaned as the last guests hair was still caked to the wall. The beds were like sleeping on straight springs, as well as the bed rolled across the room every time we moved. Floors were clearly not cleaned well seeing there were dead bugs and a cigarette butt under the night stand. Super outdated, unclean, and way over priced. Would never ever ever stay here again.

Upon arrival the staff was nice and helpful . Going to my room after staying here for years now every summer I’ve never got to stay in this room number 62. The room itself not only was not the room I booked for my trip . No one should be allowed to stay in this room as a health hazard . For starters the door could easily be pushed open where the wood is weakened and lock is not secure . Going into the room we have seen holes in the wall , caving in the ceiling and mold in the bathroom . Being pregnant I could not stomach to stay there just for my safety . So I took photos of the damaged room and went to the front desk . The manager failed to meet with us and all the front desk lady could offer was for us to give up the keys so we can get a refund in 3-5 business days . Driving to this hotel from two hours away we were subjected to stay in our car until the manager arrived in the morning . The manager showed no care to look into the evidence or help us get a better room . He was very rude and just wanted to push us out as another customer came in asking us what happened because they had issues as well. I was never given a owners number . Room 62 should not continue to be rented

The new owners should be ashamed of themselves. Kitchenette sink leaked all over floor had to build dam with towels. Kittchen chair was broken if we would have sat in it it would have collapsed. The continental breakfast was a joke. Air conditioner sounded like it was winding up to explode. To adjust it had to stand on a love seat. The love seat was so small that when we watched TV we had to take thurns breathing.Taking a shower the curtain fell down splash ing water all over the place. Paid 738$ for 2 nights. The beds were good. The grounds were not as bad as some have suggested. The walls are not very sound proof. Heard a baby crying late at night above us. Stayed in room 38 Sept 9 th and 10th. Ogunquit Beach was great. I've been to beaches all over the world in my 73 years and this beach is the best.

Do not stay here. It would be generous to call the room dilapidated. Reeks of cigarette smoke, filthy amenities, air conditioner from the 70’s it seems, sink won’t produce more than a trickle of water. Holes in the wall, screws in the ceiling, everything metal is rusted. Blinds to the parking lot barely close, curtain rod basically held together with scotch tape, I could go on. Worse than literally any accommodation I’ve stayed in ever, and I’ve stayed in some doozies.

My family and I have been staying at this hotel for years and never had an issue. Apparently, the motel is under new management and it has gone downhill—steeply. We rented 4 rooms and in total this was our experience: vibrator left in a drawer in one of the rooms, one shower leaking into the room below, stains on sheets, only one usable towel, spiders in the sheets, seriously dirty remote (the antibacterial wipe I used was black after cleaning it)—and that’s just what we noticed. I would not walk barefoot in the rooms. One good thing I will say is that the rooms are not carpeted thankfully. ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH THE $160–STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. I don’t ever leave bad reviews, but I had to here. The manager comped us one room for one night—ridiculous.

Room seem clean nice flat screen TV but it was actually very comfortable but wish they had a couple more pillows, beds weren’t to bad, some springs but not bad sleep. Decore is out of date but with a lot of rooms I can see why I take a long time to update all of them. Maintenance staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of the property in the Internet connection definitely recommend anybody on a budget to stay here small room but worth the stay. One thing I wish is even though if you’re on the second and first floor and even though it might be quiet as to why I’m here in October, I think they should have better locks on the door. But for an old-school hotel I can give it 3 stars. But sure is worth a four or five in the summer with full staff.

The rooms were clean, the management was helpful and my pup and I enjoyed our stay. The cleaning lady, Vernice, was thorough and did a great job. I would have given this hotel 5 Stars if my room was not on the second floor. My dog crate is exceptionally heavy, and getting it up and down was not an easy feat. that being said, I will definitely stay here again next year, and request a bottom floor when I booked.

We have a dog and this motel is dog friendly. However, the room was a dump. There was no vanity in the bathroom. No place to put your toothbrush, curling iron or even a hook to Hank your robe. The beds were old and uncomfortable. No maid service for three days. No clean towels. The continental breakfast was in a building that smelled of mildew. Disgusting! I would give it a zero. Don't go there!!!

Do not stay here. Way too expensive for what it is. My husband sat on the bed and the headboard literally fell onto the bed, it wasn't attached to the bed or the wall, I'm glad no one got hurt because that thing was heavy. The room smelled musty and the room was absolutely not clean. The faucet in the bathtub was also left on when we walked in. We ended up leaving and finding another place to stay. I will say that the staff was very friendly and apologetic over the situation and handled it professionally.

The owners should be ashamed of themselves. After saying in an email to us they did a big 1 million in renovations we sat through 3 hours of maintenance getting a new AC installed. One of the cleaning people without doubt left a Pubic hair placed perfect on the toilet seat. Our pillow cases had the hair of the previous guests heads. The couch was disgusting and the beds were so bad I woke up with a headache and back pain. I guarantee a night in jail would be more comfortable and sanitary. Do yourself a favor stay away

Awful STAY AWAY!I wish I could give zero stars. Ive stayed at plenty of discounted and dated motels that I would return to, but this is by far the worst. At check in the clerk had her young children distracting her. Upon opening the door the smell of mold and floral spray could knock you over. The carpet was moist and filthy. When I asked if we could switch rooms due to allergies to one without carpet she said we could but for only one night, we would have to move back for our 2nd night. The beds were flimsy and linens worn and gray. We paid for 3 adult guests and only 1 towel in the room, we went to the office and they said they don't have any more you'll have to get them tomorrow. the bathroom door doesn't close properly and doesn't clear the toilet. The toilet had a constant leak, black mold on the bathroom wall. ,Glad I had cleaner in my car, as we had to clean the shower and bathroom floors before use. Their kinda white towel was brown once we wiped down the floor. and the shower stall had no floor support. The wall mounted sink almost fell on us and the electrical outlets are only 2 prong that nothing would stay plugged into. Not grounded. 1 nasty rusted lamp to light the entire room and the tv didn't work. the air conditioner was moldy and the only heat source was an old heat coil that looked like a stove burner in the ceiling that stayed on after turning off the switch, and smelled of ectrical. There was an outdated phone that was broken and not able to be plugged in. There are no chairs in the room. The outside door had a large gap on the bottom and the rusted chain lock would stick, so you couldn't secure the door to your room. Questionable activity all hours of the night as cars coming and going and nearby room doors were slammed regularly. The amount of cigarette butts outside the room was appalling. I'm pretty sure there were left behind from the residents living thereOn a positive note we love Wells! But this place is unsafe and should be condemned!

Stayed one night the chairs inside were dirty and cigarette holes in them the bathroom was gross water stains on the ceiling rust on the floor from the water the toilet when you sat on it it moved water coming out of it the AC was set on 32 very warm in the room would not recommend it to any one 235.00 for one night and the free breakfast there wasn’t any the guy behind the counter when we checked in very rude and dirty looking I think they need to refund our money 🤮Nearby activities: Mini golf nearWalkability: Can walk to stores near by
