We stop there for gas often as the prices are reasonable for the area. We recently stopped there for a quick breakfast as well and were not disappointed. We got a couple of coffees and breakfast sandwiches and ate them in the little seating area. The sandwiches were as expected, the order was quick, and the seating area was neat and clean. Not a place to go on a date but a quick roadside meal if you are in the area.

There’s a guy that seems to be the kitchen manager that I see preparing food almost every time I go there. He is super friendly and always offers advice on what to order. He’s typically really busy when we go in, but never seems stressed and is always smiling. Just want to say that we appreciate your excellent service! You do a great job. Thank you!

Waterproof Market & Cafe has an excellent setup. It is a convenience store, gas station, takeout and dine-in restaurant all in one location.The layout is logical for shopping convenience. You'll find a well-stocked selection of alcoholic beverages including a beer cave. There are also the snack and refreshment beverages. Then you can find household essentials. And there is the food service area with a diverse menu available. When I visited dining in was possible but of course that for the foreseeable future is subject to change due to Covid-19. Parking is ample and access easy enough.

It’s great that the staff that handle food wear gloves. That being said they do not understand the concept of “Cross Contamination”. The person making my pizza is answering the phone with her gloves on, using a pen that has been God knows where, wiping her gloved hands over her apron, brushing her hair back and rearranging the paper slips of other orders. This is only what I saw for the few minutes I watched her. Watching the other gloved employees wasn’t much better. Wiping their clothes and faces was concerning. Please please proper training of what cross contamination is. Yes they will use more gloves but it will bemore sanitary AND customers notice!

Absolutely the worst precooked meal I ever had. I don't expect 5 star cuisine from a convenience store but this Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli was a watery, tasteless mess with tiny pieces of highly processed chicken and rubbery noodles. For $8.99 I at least expected to be able to eat it.

Disability embarrassment!!Walked in with my service dog (vest on) and from the door the cashier behind the counter repetitively says there’s a dog in here (among other words). After I assured her he was a service dog she still had the general manager stay with her until I checked out. I let them know how embarrassing that was as others starred at us and got no apology, but they both pulled the kill them with kindness, rude talks. I have been supporting this business since before they had to rebuild. I have a large truck with their debit card, trusting them with my bank account during weekly fill ups. No one should be treated like that especially anyone with a disability. We go through enough trying to get through life, people working at businesses like this should try it for 1 day.

Best fries I’ve ever had! The staff is very polite as well. Istopped in for a snack while on a motorcycle trip. Got a chicken tender and the fries. 10/10!

I've spent ALOT of $$$ in this Store over the years. Today I ordered a hamburg pizza. It was HORRIBLE! It tasted like Franco American spaghetti out of a can! They obviously use fake hamburg. Maybe it's frozen pizza bought from a truck!What I really have a problem with, is the stores manager. When I called to tell him this, he did NOT care! He simply said, "okay thank you" and hung up!!!! This man has NO PEOPLE skills what so ever! I was not rude when I talked to him, wasn't even looking for my money back! BTW, The dogs wouldn't even eat it!

I gotta say I agree with beeharbour II. I bought the lasagna today. OMG it is the worst ever. I will gladly pay half the price for Stouffer's and that is saying a lot. 8.99 lost. I wonder if the owner actually eats his own product.

When I order a honey mustard chicken tender wrap with bacon, and my total after buying an arizona tea and a small bag of chips goes from 4.57$ to 19.97 there is clearly an issue somewhere, overpriced food and it keeps going up

I don't know who is managing this store, but it's a s*** show. Took 40 minutes for me to get a 12 piece chicken finger w/ two sides.They were not under staffed. They were eight people behind the counter. I waited 15 minutes for them to cook chicken tenders fresh, great!. But then I watch them sit on the counter for another 15 minutes before someone decided to process the orders that were waiting. One girl behind the kind of disappeared for 15 minutes after taking my order. The other woman that was processing disappeared with her for a good 10. When the girl taking the orders did come back she was upset. Proceeded to process an order place after mine and container give it to her friend waiting there. I watched the second woman process my order. Looking for sides. Didn't have any. Didn't have a container to put them in. instead of going to find new containers proceeded to empty another side, rinse it out and put something else in it. washed the container with her gloves on . then washed her hands with the gloves on Throw them away and get another pair.

I'm a daily regular here and the staff are all awesome!! I walk in and get greeted by name(Aimee) and my food is always made fresh, hot, and correct! I love the gift shop set up, I love all the baked goods. The Nana's Kitchen Chicken is amazing! Ya'll are all super friendly and make a girl feel welcomed! My stop for breakfast snacks dinner drinks and gas. And the Online Ordering is still amazing too!!!

One star is 5 too many.Worst pizza in town. Obvious to me that the ingredients contract went to the lowest bidder. SMALL ($13) pizza with hamburg topping tasted like it came out of a chef-boyar-dee can. So gross.

The wife and I stopped in for a thanksgiving sub definitely not the same week had one last week in the afternoon and it was amazing. Tonight took 20 minutes to make it and there was hardly any cranberry sauce no mayo and very little stuffing. Day crew makes them the best.

5/22 visit @ 6pm. I'm a very active editor for Waze. Over the past two weeks I have improved the amenities, hours, petroleum carrier, and everything about this business for THEIR benefit. I pass by it frequently, have never entered the place, and decided to stop because of their menu.Upon entering the place it's not definitive where to order from the counter. I stood where I thought I should, and waited. Within a couple of minutes a woman/customer asked if I had ordered. I said no, and wasn't sure if I was standing in the correct place because clearly the staff of FOUR (yes FOUR) behind the counter was very busy. They were not understaffed given the area that four people had to work in, but they were busy. I get that.A large man (clearly frazzled) was trying to facilitate the staff of four with a line of (5) orders that were visible. I patiently waited 10 minutes, and looking behind me the line grew to 6-7 people. After 10 minutes the phone rang, and the man answered the phone, never acknowledging or making eye contact with me or anyone waiting in line in the store. He took their order and explained that it would be a 45 minute wait for their phone order. I continued to wait. 5 minutes later the phone rang again. I turned to the woman that asked if I had ordered yet and told her that if he picked up the phone again, I was going to walk out. He did, took their order, and continued to ignore the line in front of him. I left the counter.Some businesses would take the phone off the hook. I do not recommend this. Working in the customer service industry myself for well over 30 years, the customer that's in your face is your main priority. He completely ignored and NEVER acknowledged ANYONE on the other side of the counter until well after I was out the door.I'll give this business one more chance. Otherwise I'll keep driving by. Very disappointed.

I generally liked this market and the staff is very friendly. I stop here for gas because it's the best deal in town when you use the Fabian Oil debitpay card. I even passed two gas stations on the way to do so this morning. I generally pick up a lottery ticket or two and consider this to be my lucky place.I stopped in this morning and had a less than desirable experience. I bought a couple scratch tickets, a Megabucks, and wanted to purchase a Lucky for Life ticket for an advanced draw. I've done this at this location before and while I did encounter one cashier who did not know how to do it, she asked someone else for assistance and was able to make it happen within seconds.This morning the cashier, while pleasant, told me she couldn't do that; that she didn't know how. She advised me to get a slip by the door and she could run that through the machine for the advanced ticket purchase. I bought the tickets she was able to process, and asked for confirmation as to how it would work with the slip and she said, "I just put it in I don't know if it can do it I'm not going to get sued if it comes out wrong." I said, "okay is there a manager available?" She looked to her left towards the deli counter and she said, "no, they're not in yet." I replied with, " of course, they're not. " I thanked her and she wished me a good day.As I was headed by the deli area I just stopped to mention to a man that I had seen there on a very regular basis what my experience had been. I gave him a brief synopsis of my exchange including my request to speak with a manager stating I thought someone should be aware. He advised me that because the tickets were not voidable that he did not allow the staff to sell advanced tickets in any manner. I questioned whether he was the owner and commented that if that were the case he should possibly advise the rest of his team as I had had no problem purchasing advanced tickets in the past. I told him that the situation was disappointing and that I was going to find somewhere else to do business based on this experience. I received a generic apology and departed.As I got to my car, I thought it odd that the owner would not have taken a more in-depth interest in my concern and went back in to just ask. Apparently my assumption that he was the owner was incorrect because when I asked another employee if he was the in fact the owner, I was advised he was a manager and not the owner. The employee had been present for my encounter with him and she did go to bat for the cashier saying, "well, maybe she didn't see him standing here."My experience this morning was a letdown. I get my gas here to shop local and could as easily go to a Cumberland Farms for similar pricing with very little inconvenience. I feel that the manager and the cashier were somewhat shady in their interactions, not being forthcoming with information. I certainly didn't get the hometown feel I have come to expect at the waterboro market.I will continue to get gas here when it's convenient, but certainly won't go out of my way as I generally have to get gas here. And I certainly no longer consider it to be my "lucky place" and will get lottery tickets elsewhere.

I ordered 2 breakfast sandwich with over-med eggs but when I got home and unwrapped them the eggs were inedible, the yokes and whites where still raw but the outside was burnt. This was the second time this week I went and had the same experience. If you serve breakfast you should have cooks that know the difference between the ways to cook an egg. This could be solved with some simple training and effort.

I am sharing this post today so that may be other customers can learn from my mistake.After pre-paying $27 for gas and realizing that I had given the cashier the incorrect pump number I approached the owner, Dave to explained what had transpired. He communicated to me that he is not responsible and my next move would be to communicate with the sheriffs department directly to get my money back. He stated to me that as far as he was concerned he would not be out that money. So please double check what pump number you’re on for sure I know I will double check!Forgot to mention that someone pumped and drove off!!!

They changed their recipe for their chicken and biscuit meal! its not nearly as good and flavorful as before. It was the best place around to get fried chicken. Now you get 6 small soggier pieces of chicken, and what looks like biscuits made for sandwiches :/

Spent over $50 on buffalo Rangoon's and two seafood platters which were inedible because they were so overcooked ... Very disappointed, got a burger with it as well that was mediocre...don't think I'll be back, had to throw almost all of it out.

I would think that when you call in an order for take out and you're told "20 minutes" and you arrive 30 minutes after the call was made, that the order would be ready. Well, I've been standing here for another 20 minutes because they hadn't made the order by the time I arrived. Doesn't matter how good the food is, this is unacceptable. With no offer of $ off, either.First and last time here. Sorry folks!Edited a year later:I notice that the owners only respond to folks who give ***** reviews, which tells me they are arrogant enough to think that an honest bad review doesn't need a response, because if you ignore the problem, there is no problem. Sad, really. Pizza Garage gets my business. Better food and closer, too.

The food has really gone downhill here. Pizza is different everytime you order. Ordered a ham and turkey sub and it was all veggies. 2 super thin slices of ham and turkey in a large sub. I only stop here for gas now.

Best place in Maine to get real Italian sub. I suggest you get the Italian Job with everything on it. Don't forget your salt, pepper, oregano, oil and vinegar!! They got good selection of coffee too.

The staff is very cheerfully. Very clean. The owner is very helpful and personable. The food is amazing and always fresh. They always look out for other diet issues. Would recommend ten times over glad to have you in the community.

I regularly stop here when headed home late from work and don't want to cook. All of the reasonably priced, home-cooked, nicely packaged and chilled entrees such as Lasagna, Mac n' cheese, chicken/turkey dinners, hamburger Stroganoff, stuffed shells, shrimp scampi, and others are fresh, ready to go home to be heated up or can be pre-heated there. You can be out the door in just a few minutes with delicious and never too salty or spicy meals. You can add extra spices yourself when you get home and just want to mic, chill and dine. The staff are very friendly. Desserts look decadent but that's not my thing. Recommend you try.

I stopped coming to this place 6 months ago because of the poor management. I stopped today hoping things had changed but no, same long line with one super slow cashier. Its not lack of staff, there are 5 other people working but apparently they cant open they other register even when there are 10 people in line. I understand that they get busy because people like the food but apparently the management doesn't understand that since they get busy they need that second register open.

I have given this business plenty of opportunity to not mess up simple orders and every time I go there they mess it up. Last time I went I ordered over the phone and confirmed the order before getting off the phone they had it written correctly so I assumed I didn't need to check it at the store. Got home and it was messed up. I did call and they did offer to give me a new one which I appreciated but not even sure I ever want to go back.
