Very cool shop. A lot of models are on display of ships of different eras. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to order a kit and have it shipped. I would absolutely recommend visiting this place.

Regarding THE RC Lobster boat do not attempt this kit unless you are a Master Modeler! Plans are incomplete and instructions are very vague! You are on your own! Most parts have to be made from scratch and a lot of guesswork on your part! I have been modeling for more than 60 years and this is the worst model I have ever attempted. Very expensive and the referenced supplier of additional parts is very arrogant! Most likely everything is headed for the trash except the radio gear I bought.

Cool place to visit and see all the model ship kits they have to offer. Some are very intricate and would take a lot of time and patience to assemble. We expected to see more gifts.

Excellent ship model kits. Good selection for all skill levels. The displays in the showroom are very impressive. The website has videos showing the contents of the kits. Very helpful. If you are into building model boats, you'll want to visit here.

Aside from the fantastic time one can have simply wondering around the shop, the ideas and tips you can garner from the staff are invaluable. Whenever my wife and I head to Bar Harbor we stop in and I drool over the display models. As to the kits, they are superior and well appointed. The inventory of parts is also terrific. But again, unlike online shopping, the help one can get from the hands on staff if wonderful. No question is too trivial and the answers come from people who have been there done that.

Amazing detail on the ship models, and you can even watch someone working on models in the back room. Great place to visit for anyone interested in model ships. You can purchase completed models, basic to complex build-your-own kits, and individual model or decorative pieces.

Being a veteran sailor, I really enjoyed looking at the large, very detailed model ships. I'd love to try my hand at building one but the $200 to $800 price tag is way out of my league. Another item relegated to the wish list.

If put together properly these kits are just about as nice as the ones we had in the US Naval Academy museum during my time as a midshipman. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the kits or the manuals.

Some time ago, i needed some copper plates to sheath the bottom of some rather large scale models. Blue Jacket worked with my artwork and found a fabricator who produced a small quantity. I am sure this was not a profitable transaction and I really appreciate their generous help.

They make their own shipbuilding kits and ship them everywhere. I found some regional type souvenirs. The owner was very helpful.
