An all time favorite one-stop bird lovers’ paradise. Expect to pay premium prices for anything in the store but a $25 yearly membership gives generous discounts on most feeders/wares and all of their specialty birdseeds. The staff is always incredibly knowledgeable and will be quick to answer any feather-featuring questions. I’ve been going here for years and I’m so glad WBU has a franchise so close by the Portland/Scarborough/Westbrook area.

Awesome place to find anything bird related you might need! Large, varied selection with great options. You couldn't ask for a better bird store or better staff. I read some of the reviews too, and i love that every review has been replied to. It's very wholesome and sweet and the responses are informational, polite, and very appreciated (to me, at least). I love this store, and I love birds so much. This store is the reason I got into bird watching, and its helped me become closer to my grandfather who loves to observe the birds in the area with me. We have so much fun bonding together over the birds we see in his yard. ♥️

So, straight up, very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I now know what to do with the 2 pounds of dried meal worms at home! And I have a better idea of what to feed the birds that decide to hang around this winter. So, that's good. This is a whole lot better than buying your seed at a chain store, if you are able.

Very helpful and knowledgable staff. Be careful, this place and the hobby of feeding birds can become very addicting. While the items they carry are expensive, they are the best in my opinion and are typically under a pretty solid warranty. One of their clear dinner bell's broke when a squirrel jumped on it and they replaced the broken part no questions asked.

I have been a customer of this store for several years and have bought several expensive feeders and the entire pole installation and baffle system here. I was shopping today and had some questions about a feeder that I am having difficulty with. When I arrived with the sales person at the counter to make my purchase (1 item), she looked at a customer who arrived after I did and had several items to buy, then looked back at me and said, I'll just be a minute, I am going to help this customer first. The customer realized what a lousy customer service message that was and immediately offered for me to make my purchase. The sales person said nothing. I decided to talk with my feet and walked out. I won't be a customer there again....I can go to several other places or online and I will.

We came for birdhouses. They have three kinds : really ugly plastic ones, unattractive unfinished wood ones, and beautiful slate roof ones that were very expensive $160.
