This is a small shop but I am really pleased with their friendly attitude and attentive shop dog. They have plenty of guns, ammo, and accessories but it's the staff that really make a difference. They go the extra mile to ensure that all Federal laws are followed, keeping their customers out of trouble and enhancing the reputation of the firearms industry as responsible community members. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Nice sized shoppe that is clean. The shoppe has a great variety of high quality items at great prices. The staff are friendly and honest with their prices. Transactions are fast! I'd say this is the best gun and ammo shop around!

Excellent shop! Come for the guns stay for the dog, Bandit. Of course they recommend a 1911 over any glock and .45 ACP over 9 mm.

Price gouging, with no accountabilityBought a used handgun November of 2021 for a little over 500 dollars (great condition and came with 3 mags and the wrong case). Decided I wanted something different, and went to go sell it. Come to find out I paid top dollar for what it would be brand new. So, being quite frustrated with clearly being over charged by 100-200 depending on where you look, I decided to bring it to them. Disclaimer, I went in a bit heated after feeling taken advantage of. I argued that I was over charged, and the man I was talking to stated that I bought it while guns and ammo were hard to get, which made it more expensive (which to me, is admitting to price gouging because they could). The owner stepped in after I argued a bit, and stated that I agreed to buy it, that no one made me do it. Which I agreed to, I did make the choice unknowingly and I take the responsibility for that. He told me to forget about the price for a minute, and I said no, I will not. He told me he wasn't interested then and he will not buy it. He then argued that it would be like buying a car from a dealership for one price, and being upset 8 months later because I couldn't get that for it. So we argued about that. The other guy tried finding what it was worth, and couldn't find it in his book. I recognize I shouldn't have gone in heated, mistake on my part that I apologized for. But the fact remains, they price gouged when they could and then took offense and didn't care to make it right when I voiced my frustrations.If you want to get the prices you should by someone who tries his best to make sure the customer gets the lowest price possible, take a trip to Madawaska at Northwoods Outdoor Supply. Solid dude, with transparent prices and a great selection.

This place makes purchasing a gun an easy process! I was able to buy a personal handgun in a short amount of time. I had what legal documentation that I needed and they did the rest. The owner and his employees are knowledgeable and friendly!

Guns and shooting supplies are all the same. It's really the staff and regular customers that make the difference. What makes Spartan Arms and Ammo special is the people. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Bandit the shop dog is just a bonus. Great representatives of Presque Isle. Looking forward to next visit. Wish we could leave 6 stars.
