We stayed here after having driven by many times and commenting that we should book a room at this spot. The location is PRIME, the view of the cove is perfection and we loved being close enough to walk to restaurants and the Marginal Way (can’t recommend MC Perkins in the Cove more highly, the food was phenomenal). The room was beautiful. The balcony was a fantastic spot to sit and have a drink. The whole place was very clean and the shower was delightful, as well.We drove our 1960 f100 here and for the first time ever, it refused to start the day after we arrived. The manager, James, took pity on us after we asked about taxi services (there are none in the off season), and called someone in to cover the end of his shift so he could personally ferry us to the auto parts store in York. If that’s not 12/10 customer service, I don’t know what is. Thanks to James’ taxi service, we were able to get the truck started the next day.I will end this review with complete honesty and say that if you like firm beds, you will love the beds here. If you’re like me and like something a little softer, you might be a bit disappointed. STILL, overall, giving this place 5/5 stars!

You can't beat the location or the views of Perkins Cove. The room was recently remodeled and very clean. Shout out to James in the Main office for his help.Absolutely will be back. Really enjoyed the close, but quiet location. Just walk across the footbridge and grab some food at one of the many options. Especially enjoyed the footbridge lobster.

We are on the bottom floor and hear everything from the top floor. Walking, talking, toddler feet running and crying. Not a quiet experience. The rooms themselves are very nice and a wonderful view. The Internet works well in the room. However, if you want to sit outside the door you lose it completely.

Stayed here two nights a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time! Everything was just as shown on the pictures online, and the customer service was wonderful as well. The rooms were very quiet and close to restaurants and the beach, but far enough away from the foot traffic of the main road in Perkin's Cove. We loved watching the sailboats from our room and the lawn in the mornings and evenings and would highly recomend this cute hotel to anyone visiting Maine.

We loved staying here because of peaceful vibes, scenic views, and relaxing lawn. Plenty of chairs to enjoy the afternoon by the water. Rooms were quiet & well appointed. We would definitely stay here again.

We love the Auberge. It's picturesque since it's on the Cove and just a delightful place to stay. The rooms are clean and owners are very accommodating. It does not offer food or a pool, but if you want a quiet and reasonably priced place to stay, you will enjoy the Auberge. A short walk across the footbridge brings you to wonderful shops and food.

Cozy, quaint, quintessential New England location. But…honestly, I was amazed and disappointed that there wasn’t even a small continental breakfast offered. Nothing other than hot water and coffee. Prices are not inexpensive and having a captive audience due to location, does not justify subpar service. Extremely disappointing. Staff when asked about lack of breakfast of any kind, pointed in the direction of the nearby town. Not within walking distance. Other visitors also asked why no breakfast???? Auberge, why no breakfast???? You seem to be an outlier in the community.

This was our second year at Auberge and we loved it even more than the first. The rooms are bright, clean, spacious and the view right outside every window is unmatched. In my opinion, the location is the best in Oguncuit. The staff is friendly, but James especially went out of his way for us. Thank you James and Auberge - 10/10 recommend this place and I know we’ll be back.

Extremely cozy, quiet, quaint adorable spot on the cove. Very nice rooms with everything one needs! Very nice owners, well cleaned and maintained grounds and buildings. Beautiful lawn and sitting areas perfect to read, relax, and take in the waters beauty of the cove. Watching the sailboats and such come in and out of the cove is awesome right from your own porch area. Hearing the bell and watching the draw bridge go up is a turnbackin time. A very enjoyable short walk over the draw bridge brings one down into the shopping and dining center of Perkins Cove.

Not only was the view outstanding of Perkins Cove, the room was adorable and very inviting. Bright, airy and newly remodeled with a gorgeous walk in shower. We especially loved being able to enjoy drinks on the deck overlooking the cove and the two minute walk over the footbridge to Barnacle Billy’s for rum punch! We will definitely be back!

Lots of small negative things add up to an overall not very good experience. The good:Rooms were mostly clean. Bed was very clean. The location is fantastic. There's plenty of parking.Friendly staff during checkoutThe bad:Unwelcoming and borderline rude staff during check-in. She gave us a series of do this do that orders, then got us out of the way. When we arrived, in the early afternoon, they had already charged my booking guarantee card without my authorization, so we couldn't split the bill for our two rooms.Rooms were small (but at least not tiny). The beds are much shorter than normal beds, so being 6'2 I didn't fit in them. The restroom door was loose, and didn't close.Found pubic hairs on the heater in the restroom.Found squashed mosquitoes on the roof.AC was so noisy we couldn't use it.The vending machine had no bottled water, and lacked several items (but can't tell that items are unavailable until you've already paid). No breakfast available. They of course claimed that this was due to COVID, but given that none of the staff ever masked up I think they're not all that worried, and instead saw a chance to save some money by providing subpar service. All other hotels on our trip in the area had no issue offering breakfast.Overall, too many small things not done right. Will not return nor recommend.

I give this Riverside a 4 and a half. The view of Perkins Cove was just beautiful. You can walk over to the shops and restaurants at Perkins Cove in 5 minutes. The parking however was on a different level and there isn’t an elevator. I definitely recommend it.

Newly renovated with comfortable beds, good wi-fi ,nice tv and restful porch overlooking Perkins Cove. Elective room service due to Covid. Could use a little more privacy and security on communal deck since someone tried to enter our room (hopefully out of confusion). Easy parking in front of unit and easy access to restaurants across the bridge with a lovely view of the harbor.

Very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The office is close by and has a very cozy place to have a healthy breakfast. Also has comfortable seating and a little library.Only complaint I had was they didn't have a rug to put shoes on at the entrance to the room.

While the outside looks just fine, it does not do Justice to the amazing new remodel of the rooms. I loved the spacious open shower and the whitewashed wood floors. Clean, beachy, stylish feel! I was pleasantly surprised! My mother was happy to sit out back and enjoy the amazing view of the cove as we headed just down the road to ogunquit beach. Staff was helpful and cheery in a difficult time. Price is reasonable for such a great location. Few steps to the bridge and you’re in the center of incredible restaurants and great shopping! The kids can even press the button to operate the bridge! The lobster boat is a must do if you are in ogunquit! Even did it on my bachelorette weekend!! I’ll be back soon!! The new owners have done an incredible job!! If you read this, thank you for a great stay!

Rooms have great views of Perkins Cove, quiet location just over the draw bridge from the cove. Primarily a couples resort, nicely landscaped with clean accommodations with air-conditioning. Free parking and continental breakfast included.

I have not stayed at the Riverside Motel, but I would like to share a story about the staff that work there. I hope you like it.There are still honest, upstanding, law abiding people all over this country. We tend to listen to all the negatives on the news or read on line, but when you hear of a great happy ending we seldom are told.My friend was on vacation with her grown daughter and elderly mother. This friend of mine loves to take beautiful memorable photos of the places she goes and fortunately we are blessed to see them on her face book page. It's like travelling vicariously through her photos. Her last trip she left her camera at the lodging she stayed at. What next was a wonderful surprise. They found it and will be sending it home to her so we may all enjoy the view.Kudos to The Riverside Motel in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit, ME

Perfect place to stay right in Perkins Cove! We loved being so close to Marginal Way, a great walkway right beside the rocky coastline! We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately the new owners failed to fully refund my parent's deposit this year when they had to cancel their annual visit to the motel after my father had a major heart attack which will prevent him from traveling. Instead they kept a portion as an "administrative fee." Long time patrons of the motel like my parents deserve better, especially while dealing with a medical emergency.

Absolutely the nicest and most accommodating management. It is typically Maine, ie: not frilly but beautifully kept, comfortable rooms, excellent location, Perkins Cove is charmingly New England and has great restaurants accessible by quaint footbridge from the Motel.
