My lobster roll 😋 was perfect and the fries 🍟 were good too. The staff were friendly and polite. The picnic tables were pretty dirty, but we managed.

This is a flashback in time - and worth a stop. We had very good old fashioned hamburgers while probably 90% others were getting ice cream (warm day).

Always an outgoing, friendly team eager to serve up tasty food and delicious frozen treats.The only bummer is when they close for the fall and winter. It makes for a tough exercise in patience. Where else can we get our ice cream fix?!? 😆

Meh. The cooked food might be good. We just got ice cream cones. They were ok. They had so many printed signs, it was hard to find process for ice cream cones. The outside could use some fresh paint. Service, however, was fast, friendly, and very good

I've always loved Sawyer's. One of my favorite places in town to grab ice cream or even fried snacks like mozzarella sticks. Try their specialty twist flavors!

Went here for the first time while visiting family in Maine. They messed up two of our orders. First, my fiance ordered a cheese burger. They gave him a chicken sandwich. He doesn't mind chicken sandwiches, however, since he ordered mustard on his burger... yeah. Was kinda gross on chicken. Then, she asked me if I wanted pickle with my tuna but I didn't end up getting pickle. Kinda stunk.

Food was great. Prices ok. Had fried clams and onion rings. Onion rings were the best I've had in a looong time. Fried clams were good, too, but too much salt.

Been going here for many years. The food is always fresh and fast. Long line holding you back? It moves rather quickly. If in the area, stop here for lunch or a quick bite. Places like this are hard to come by these days and this is a local gem.

This place is the definition of a dairy bar. Their ice cream is delicious and their food is equally as good. I travel 30 minutes away to enjoy this gem. It satisfies any and all cravings.

The line was so long but they worked so fast! Food is so affordable considering inflation these days. Everything tasted good, chicken burger, fries, mozzarella sticks and a cheeseburger all very good. The chocolate hard serve shake tasted a little like mocha which was odd but it wasn’t bad.. the service was friendly!

Far from the greatest. If u want fresh a d well made seafood especially haddock the eagles nest in brewer maine up rt 9 right before the Bradley road. Best in the state hands down. Trust me w the haddock and claims scallops are far far superior then anywhere else. Take my word on this sorry Sawyers but the class were like rubber the haddock was far from fresh had no scallops and the shrimp came from a bag. In the state of Maine never ever ever eat frozen from a box seafood. Get the captons platter at the eagles nest 3 people can feed of this plate for 2 meals. We spent 116.99 at Sawyers 55.00 capt. Had cheese burger and onion rings on memorial day. Burger was excellent, onion rings a little greasy with great flavor.They were very busy and handled it well.

Probably just picked a bad day. It happens, fries and burgers all tasted fishy like they may have been using the same oil, but the ice cream was on point. It won't deter me from trying it again and updating my experience if it improves

Loved the old fashioned, no frills charm of this place! Classic, American menu with burgers, sandwiches, fried foods, ice cream, shakes and more. The fried pickles and grilled chicken sandwich (whole chicken breast not a pattie) with lettuce and tomato were yummy. My husband ordered a cheeseburger meal and my son ordered a chicken tender basket. Service and food was great, very generous portions, reasonably priced. Ended with a "baby" sized Wizard (their version of a DQ Blizzard) Ice cream portions were just as generous as their food portions. Great place to stop on a summer night. We'll definitely go back the next time we visit!

My wife and I had chicken sandwiches and both were over cooked dark crisps and real dry on the inside, worst one's we have ever had. Not like a sawyers sandwich.

Fried clams were great! Good variety of ice cream and eats. Reasonably priced. Love being able to call ahead for food orders as I don't live locally and I can time it so my food is hot and ready when I roll into town. Get the fried clams!!

Definitely a staple of the area. You can't visit Newport without stopping in. I've been going here since I was old enough to eat solid food. Their ice cream is absolutely worth the wait, and they also offer great food too. I say it's worth the wait because it's always super busy due to popularity- but they work as efficiently as possible for their customers. They have hard serve, soft serve, milkshakes (in different thicknesses), soft drinks, fries, onion rings, fried seafood, really the list goes on. I'm glad to see the business is still in full swing. This is a drive up style restaurant, with an order window and a pickup window. There are picnic tables for outdoor seating. Convenient entrances on both sides of the plaza

Just had ice cream. Quick, friendly service. Store-made ice cream was good! Star lost because they made my wife a soft serve cone instead of a hard serve. When we pointed that out, instead of taking it back and making a new hard serve one, she said, "oh, I didn't hear that. Soo... You don't want that one??" My wife ended up eating it even though it's not what she wanted. Not the best customer service, but everything else was great.
