I called asking if they had a specific cat food. I was very specific with the brand. They confirmed they had the food in stock. I asked them to check it again before I drove 30 minutes to pick up the food. Again they confirmed it was the correct food. They stated they would put it aside for me. As I got there and stated I had cat food put aside for me they grabbed the cat food from behind the counter. It was not even the same brand of food my cat uses. They don’t even sell the cat food I asked about! I was upset and the assistant came over and was very rude and told me to try another food. I assured her my cat could not have another food as he is a Sphynx. They actually called my current vet and they hung up on them because my current vet told them no they cannot switch the food. I told her for now I was supplementing chicken and rice because I ran out of his food. She snapped at me stating “you are feeding him other food already so this food shouldn’t matter.” I assured her a chicken and rice diet is a safe bet and actually settles animals stomachs. I walked out. This vet has rude, unprofessional and unknowledgeable staff and vets. Beware.

IS THE ABSOLUTE NUMBER ONE VET IN THE WORLD!!!!**My mother owns Doxy Den Miniature Dachshunds, so our family has been raising miniature dachshunds for something like 18 years or so, therefore we obviously require a lot of veterinary care ranging from emergency c-sections to simple exams, unfortunately that can mean no vet one day and the next we could be at the vet's office all day with a life-or-death situation! Which is why we'd never settle for anything but TOP notch veterinary care! Thankfully, many years ago we were lucky enough to find Dr.Jill who is so beyond amazing that there are no words to describe how amazing she truly is!!!She has literally saved the lives of multiple dogs, puppies, and even entire litters that we have had over the years! She's always provided high quality care, been honest and informative, had top notch "bedside manner", been very thorough, goes above and beyond what's expected, and has ALWAYS been truly amazing with all of our animals, whether it's one of our dogs, puppies, or other type of animals we have/had.All of us at DOXY DEN MINIATURE DACHSHUNDS LOVE Dr.Jill so much we've followed her to 3 veterinary hospitals over the years and we'd continue to go where she goes to keep her our beloved family veterinarian for as long as possible!DR.JILL SERIOUSLY IS THE BEST VETERINARIAN YOU WILL EVER FIND HANDS DOWN!!! They've cared for our pups for a few years, of which we just lost our 16 yr old Dachshund. They did everything they could, but old age won in the end. My biggest fear was him passing in a sterile environment but the room was very comfortable and he was very much at peace. They really went above my expectations and I'm very grateful. Upon receiving his ashes I was so touched and surprised with the package that came with velvet sacks , beautiful box and a paw print mold along with a pet loss hotline pamphlets. They were very kind and understanding in a very sad time.

Reached out to see if they had any availability, and was very shocked to not even get a response. Not sure I want to do business with a company that can't even call you back , one way or the other. Just sayin. Guess I'll keep driving to scarborough instead of supporting my local business. Too bad too for them, I have many pets and would have been a regular customer.

Good luck getting in here. Your dog could be sick and dying, but unless you're able to call promptly at 8am to *maybe* get in that day, it doesn't matter, they won't see you.Been taking my dog here for 6 years but I will be finding somewhere else to go which is too bad because I did like Dr Jill. It's just impossible to get in now.

I sadly had to have my cat of 13 years put down here and today i just got a wonderful card from them with signatures from the staff. They are wonderful and I plan to have all my pets go here. You guys care for the animals and the owners like you knew them and for that I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you guys for all the awesome work you do!

Love Dr Jill!!! I've followed her from the first place I met her at 15 years ago. More importantly, my animals love her too. She's kind, professional and isn't in it for the money. Her staff are wonderful too.

We have been going to this vet location for years, and have seen it change hands from Dr Frechette to Dr Gastonguay. Both have been fantastic. We've taken many dogs and cats here. Regular checkups go smoothly, and they are very good about staying on schedule. We've also had a few pets have surgery here. The care is great, and the price seems appropriate for our area. I've spoken to friends that have paid much more for similar procedures. And finally, you will get the deepest sympathy and compassion when you have go through that awful process at your fur-baby's end of life.

I have always had a very positive experience here. I feel like the vets always genuinely listen; even on the busiest of days. I feel like they want a clear understanding of the symptoms, especially when it's an unexpected illness. The support staff and techs round out a wonderful practice.

Great service and very friendly knowledgeable staff. My dog hates going to the vets, he senses it and gets bad anxiety. Since we started bringing him here, he doesn't get anxiety when he sees the Doc. Highly recommend!!

I am local and have lived in Poland my entire life. When I got married we moved to Oregon for about a year. When we came back there was no other office I would even consider going to to take care of my beloved pets. My dog, Oliver James is a 2 year old husky who got into a tangle with a porcupine. And they got him right in, took care of him got all the quills out of his foot, gave him antibiotics and pain meds and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Even though Dr. Frechette has retired the same care, compassion and love is found in the friendly faces I remember seeing from childhood when my parent took their let's in to the office. Mechanic falls veterinary hospital is the only place I would ever trust to take care of my pets.

Me and my dad took our dog to mechanic falls veterinary hospital and they did an awesome job, our dog Harley Davidson (aka ufo), we walked In early with our dog who was very sick without an appointment and they gave us an appointment at 1:30 in the afternoon, our dog who was unable to walk that morning , by eight oclock that night he was up and moving around dr.Gastonguay she treated him with so much love and care. She was very patient, and gentle with the dog. And the whole staff ther was excellent!
