I have had a wonderful experience here every time that I shop there, over a couple years...Until today 😞I am extremely upset and disappointed about my experience just nowMany of the aisles are completely blocked off with big carts waiting to be stocked, which often causes me to leave without certain items because I can't find an employee to helpOften items all on the floor, causing a tripping hazard and a safety hazard because you can't move freelyThis location has already been shut down at least once by the fire Marshal and is just as bad nowI tried to squeeze my cart between a display and some merchandise shelves (which were leaning against the side of the aisle and almost knocked everything down- VERY unsafeFinally went to the front to (try) and check outBoth register's lights were on, but I guess I picked the wrong oneWaited quite a while, with all of my items on the counter, and a girl came up and opened the other register and proceeded to cash out at least four or five people who had been behind meThe poor cashier was trying her best, and seemed to be the only person actually workingShe called for other employees to help and everyone completely ignored herAt least one worker and a manager (?)Saw me there and literally walked right by, then stood talking to each other insteadI stood waiting for at least 5/10 minutesI was seriously considering just leaving a few bucks for a soda that I had drunken out of and leaving everything else, humiliated, frustrated and almost in tearsFinally put everything back into my cart and walked around to wait in line AGAINThe poor cashier sincerely apologized to me for having to do that, still all alone up there. She kept calling for help and was ignoredI am really tempted to drive further away to another store, where people do their job

A couple weeks ago I shopped here. The employee at the checkout was very unprofessional and honestly seemed to be on something illegal he seemed to have trouble staying awake. Now today they are supposed to be open the lights are on and the sign says they will be open at 830 am but here it is 130 pm and while writing this review the car behind me was backed into by a angry customer who was so distracted by the fact that he would go without his dollar store items again today that he floored it in reverse straight into a jeep wrangler. I am out of here lol

YET ANOTTHER EDIT 11/11/23...BRAVO!! Credit given where credit is due... and in this case, it's that this store is OPEN when they should be... they have been well-stocked... and kept the aisles free of boxes so it's nice and easy to navigate!! It's just a pleasure to go in, grab what I need (and always a few extras!)... so this is geared to the person or people responsible for this excellent turn-around; GOOD JOB!!! It does not go unnoticed, and I'm leaving all my previous reviews here so that others can see that I'm only reporting my honest opinion.Thank you so much for making this a friendly "neighborhood-y" place to do business with! I'm raising my rating from that lonely one star... all the way up to a well-earned 5 STARS!!EDIT 1/10/23...Out of the 2 stars in my original review, I'm taking one away! Why? THESE PEOPLE ARE NEVER OPEN!! There are always weird issues... this time, CLOSED due to a propane leak? If that is the case, I would think they would have to have DANGER tape across the driveway... not make you walk up to the door to read a note in the door! The employees are RUDE and could care less about... um, anything. It was always a convenient place to run to for something quick, but now... Just makes me want to pull out my hair!! 😭First of all, I USED TO really like this place! They do have all kinds of odds & ends, milk and frozen stuff, as well as pantry staples. It's mostly clean, and the store is easy to navigate. Maybe they could do re-stocking closer to closing time as I have found that I've had to back down an aisle a couple of times. But... I do understand why they have to do it that way. I blame management... Not employees!l have gone in several times (we go through a gallon a DAY!!) for MILK... and they are ALWAYS OUT!! You know, every time l "run in just for milk" (ha-ha!)... I end up buying lots more. Soooo, if l stop going in for our milk... well, l won't be spending my $$$$ there for other things!***UPDATE***I don't know what's going on with this place, but they have been CONSTANTLY OUT OF STOCK on many, many things!!! Not only that, but they've been CLOSING EARLY without notice... NOT ANY NOTES ON THE DOOR~NOTHING!!They need more HELP!

This store keeps closing DURING their listed business hours. They will leave a handwritten not on the door or just nothing at all and appear open but be locked up. Issues seemed to start surrounding shifts in management, the young man who was promoted last year is rude and was the one standing around with no signage and the doors locked smoking in the parking lot. Really annoying considering this is the only location close to this area and alot of us count on it. Not very convenient or reliable.

I always have a wonderful experience, every time I go to your store! The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and welcoming! Everyone makes me feel like they really appreciate my business (most recently, Jesse- always has a smile for me and it makes my day 😊LOVE it!

Always great finds. They usually have a decent clearance selection. I usually stop on my way home from work to pick up quick snacks or last minute things to make for supper. They are usually always in stock of everything they have to offer. The staff is always friendly and willing to help any way they can.

I went into Dollar General in Lebanon, ME and the male cashier accused me of stealing a squeaky toy that they use to call the cashier to front of the store when I went to the checkout. I always pay for EVERYTHING! I go in several times a week. I called the store manager and she was just as rude and unprofessional. She had no idea what I look like or who she was even talking to on the phone but said I did it and she would call the police. She claimed she had me on camera but refused to show me this evidence. Again this is a squeaky bottle shaped (dog) toy I'm being accused of taking? I am a adult man and certainly don't steal or would even want their squeaky toy. Why would I call to speak to a manager if I stole something? None of this makes any sense. It is absolutely ridiculous and I want some answers. It's not ok to make false accusations

The worst store in existence, I live 2 minutes away and the last 4 or 5 times I have went there they have been closed 2-3 hours early, they have done it before but now it's getting ridiculous. I recommend to not even waste your time trying to go. They claim it's because of shipments, but it's just plain laziness, the store doesn't even get that busy.

I love this store! They are increasing the products they sell. You can find a lot of items at DG cheaper than Wal-Mart. But you do have to watch the prices. Some prices are up to $2 more than the Dollar Store for the exact same product. But the people who work there are very friendly and it's location is convenient. You do have to be careful in the parking lot. I've noticed the plowing is not great.

This Dollar General is fairly new to our area but it has been a huge help to those of us who don't want to drive all the way to Sanford or Rochester to go to a store. It has fair prices and a good selection, everything from food to clothes to toys, movies, books, ingredients, gift wraps, garden supplies, etc. Though the store can be a little messy, overall it's easy to find what you're looking for. I'd like to see a small selection of organic stuff in store though as well as vegetable broth. The staff has always been very friendly, they greet you as you come in and make sure you've found what you're looking for, and I'm happy to say they have a little of everything.

It is great having a store near by when you need the small things. Been in and out of this store several times. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. Prices on some things are high but it's the convenience of not having to travel further you are paying for.

I go in there a lot. I don't know if it's a new employee but she needs training on caring. She completely dropped my breakables along with my other items in the bags I was hearing them slam to the bottom! She only used her left hand to scan and had a scowl on her face the whole time. I checked my breakables before I left- just in case.. All other experiences there have been great! Please hire good people!

This store is just a few miles from home, so I often use it for times when we need just one or two things, but don't want to haul the whole fam to the grocery store.If you have never been to Dollar General, all the stores feature a similar layout; grocery, home, health/pharma/beauty, seasonal, toys, and clothes.This is a great place to stop at for last minute needs, and to hit the sales and awesome deals they always offer.Customer service here is anywhere between friendly to downright antisocial; so I suppose it depends on when you stop by.

Place is always closed, the last 4 times I tried going there they've been closed. Take the extra time and go to the Milton store, much better.

Good supply of items and a large location but was not able to get what I needed because staff made me wait 5 minutes at the register as they talked about how they were spending their PTO so I walked out- they did have a bell to ring but it was so far behind the register I did not ring it as I didn’t want to look like I was climbing behind the counter

Great little store! We all joke it's a mini Walmart. Its convenient for me to stop on my way home so I don't have to go out of the way to a Walmart or other store! The employees are friendly helpful!

Wonderful addition to the town, prior to Dollar General the only quick option without traveling to Cumbys in Eastside or all the way to Sanford, was to pay highway robbery prices at quick check.
