Sufficient selection of goods. But staff and friendly service more than make up for it. Meat department is stellar! Kudos to the two Vicki's...Dennis in produce good guy and helpful... lastly, Ernie who does it all there..

County Yankee is like Cheers and I am Norm. I am in there almost daily (sometimes multiple times a day) just about everyone who works there knows me. If I am looking for something that they do not carry Mike & Chad are really good about looking into getting the items I want.The bakery/deli know me well and prepare food for me all the time, I have certain dietary conditions I follow, and when I order food if I forget something they know what I like and what I order and they fix it for me.The meat department is great, any time I have ever asked for a special cut of anything they take great care of me and they seem happy to do it.I rarely ever have an issue with products there, but if I do its always taken care of really quickly. Its one of the few stores I can frequent in town where everyone seems cheerful and says hello. Other places in town I have checked out before and not had one word spoken to me the whole transaction.I use County Yankee mostly for convenience because I live pretty close by, however if the service or products were not good I would go elsewhere, thankfully I don't have to do that. I get all my needs met at County Yankee.

Every time I'm in there, they make me feel welcome. They take the time to get to know their costumers, and they ALWAYS try to remember your first name... (And most of then do know it with the exception of the new comers.... Lol)

Very friendly people. They actually insist on carrying your groceries out to your car for you. A lot of stuff for either regular price or lower price than the regular hanniford up the street. Would recommend this place to friends. ❤❤

For a small local grocery County Yankee offers much , Helpful warm friendly clerks; Management is more then willing to order in what ever one might need or desire so long as it is available. One couldn't go wrong shopping there.

Love this store. Just wish they had a larger variety of pre mixed iced coffee. However the staff are friendly and inviting which makes up for a lot.

I order breakfast sandwiches here all the time but today was my last time. Ordered from here with a friend. When we arrived the lady was making burger patty’s. I arrived for our breakfast sandwiches and this lady puts down the raw hamburger walks over to the storage (without takeoff her gloves off) grabs our sandwiches and hands them to me like she wasn’t just touching raw hamburger.then when I said something to the cashier they acted like cross contamination doesn’t exist

Great little store for all of your non-special dietary needs. Does not really cater to vegan, or gluten free diets but has a lot of great stuff and meat is phenominal!!

Up here in houlton me. We really do like to shop around, we don't have much, but we do have the county Yankee, you can always find what you need and more, and some things you can get in bulk size. Prices are normal. Service is exceptional and friendly, Staff is knowledgeable. And they always carry your stuff out to the car, i had to get used to that, you will always shop at the county yanke, try it once, and I guaranty you'll be back. *****

Great homegrown shoppe with a little of everything. In a quaint little town called Houlton in the boondocks of Maine. You literally can't go any further in Maine on 95 without hitting another country.
