Don't shop here. They are ruining America and most of their stores are understaffed and therefore disorganized and dirty like this one. The staff is always unhappy because of a lack of supporting staff and low pay. And if you truly compare the pricing of their reduced size products to those in better discount stores you will quickly discover you are not getting a bargain. They move into areas where there are no other options for shopping such as this store here in Maine. Why The State of Maine allows Dollar General stores while refusing to let Walmart in is beyond comprehension. At least Walmart keeps inventory well displayed and clean. These dollar stores erode the retail environment with their claims of cost savings that do not deliver. We used to shop in this store for occasional office supplies for our business. But you don't have to do much research to discover the deeds of this greedy corporation.

The store was clean with plenty of room for my shopping cart. Good selection with only one item out of stock. I bought the flavored potato stix instead of plain so I think I'll live!! I will definitely be shopping here regularly.

I’ve been going to this Dollar General since they opened and I like it a lot. A new thing that’s been happening a lot is that I go there when they’re “open” and get up to the door and find a small note saying it’s closed early. Last night the note said something about not being payed enough. I do feel for them, but it is quite frustrating when you specifically travel there and they keep closing two hours early. Last night was also the 4th time, so this happens a lot!

I use the one in wells Maine since I work in kennebunk. Excellent store! Very neat! staff is very friendly! They have just about everything and most of it is less then grocery store for example martinelli's apple juice only 1.00, best apple juice made! whole foods over 3.00! Also very easy to get to off Rt1 north almost across from the red leaves Chinese restaurant. highly recommended store!

Your typical Dollar General. I have had multiple encounters with employees not being customer focused. The other reason its 3 stars is due to the cheap and unreliable products they sell. Never purchase a tech product from here. The brands they purchase from are generic and typically do not follow through on what you think your purchasing.On the positive, it's like having a mini walmart that is more convenient.

Generally, overall a good bargain store,...but their pineapple juice in the plastic bottle is unrecognizable as p-apple juice, has a disgusting taste and could pass off as rodent pee.

It feels like going to see good friends. They carry so much that I need, and would normally go elsewhere for. Heres the kicker. It's a one minute ride from my home.Doesn't get any better then This.

Just went to the Dollar General on 236 in Eliot, ME. Worst experience ever. I went in specifically for an aluminum lasagna pan, so I could make my neighbor who’s been effected by the government shutdown some freezer meals. Picked out my pan, walked up to the front of the store and stood at the register. I was completely ignored by the 2 women who were working there while they stood 5 feet away and complained to each other about having to work on a Friday, before a snowstorm and blah blah blah. I stood there for close to 5 minutes, incredulous that they wouldn’t even make eye contact with me, tell me it would be a minute, nothing. Absolutely no acknowledgment of my presence at all. So, I left my would be purchace on the counter, and walked out. I will never shop (or attempt to) at that store ever again, even though it is only 2 miles from my house. Horrible customer service. They should be ashamed.

Like all of these stores it is a little messy due to how much stock comes in every day but when you need some thing they have it. The staff at this location are super helpful and friendly.

I absolutely love dollar general, buuuuut the only down fall is that this location is closing at 9:00 p.m. & the one in North Berwick stays open till 10:00 p.m & they have less customers than the eliot one! You guys should really see if corporate will stay open till 10:00pm again especially in summer......

Me personaly I dislike Dollar General becuse they got robbed im moving my children from this area because it is not safe they might rob me. I'm an over protective mother and I have 3 children 1 girl 2 boys u don't wanna have a or some children yours or not around a dangerous place and Briargate has speeders my daughter nearly got ran over so robbery+speeders = dangerous life who wants that for children wow that feels good.#♡

Great little store in town. It's basically the only place in Eliot to get some basic essentials and their selection is great considering the size of the store.

I believe this Dollar General store is quite necessary here in town.. I love its affordable prices for most products other than the fact that it has "a bit of everything" concerning items in stock.
