On my way to Eastport for work I stopped to rent a room. Robinson's Cottages had 1 available cottage and they were the only outfit in the area with an availability so I rented Cottage #4. Glad I did! This is truly a wonderful place to stay! Bill had the fire going before I even got here so all I had to do was keep it alive! The ambiance is astounding, the rustic outdoors living feel, and the entire setup was top notch! If you are looking for that cabin in the woods, rustic glamping setting, this is the place for you! Kitchen came with mugs, cups, dinnerware, coffee maker, pans, tongs, fridge, stove, oven, everything but the food! Cottage #4 has 1 master room with bed, and 2 other rooms each with 2 beds. A smallerish person could sleep on the couch, grandpa can sleepmin the recliner, and your least favorite kid could sleep on the futon in the screened-in porch! All-in-all, a great find and you can bet I'll be taking the whole fam up here on my next vacation!

I hesitated to leave a well deserved six star BEST REVIEW for strictly selfish reasons ..namely to avoid a stampede for booking before we can get back again...and then..again...first the Robinsons, Teresa and Bill...the real deal..genuine , accommodating, and authentic Downeast hospitality at it's very best taking pride in the heritage that is the one and only ..Robinsons Cottages.Second..the absolute peace and tranquility imbedded in this very special place. Loose the cell phones, fireworks, and tv ...rejuvenation guaranteed.Third...the Best drinking water in the known galaxy.Fourth...the exquisitely crafted cabin fireplaces built by Bill's Dad are a sight to behold.. highly functional stone sculptures by a Master craftsman whose work can't possibly be duplicated in this day and age..THANK YOU Teresa And Bill for having us and our beloved Fursons for the Best ever escape ...we'll be back unless and until my birth certificate expires. Just spent the weekend in cabin #1 and loved, loved, loved it! The screened in porch overlooking the river was the probably the best part and where we hung out the most. It was super hot when we arrived but all the windows had been opened and fans were running which we really appreciated but even with the heat the porch was perfect. Had a fire in the fireplace - how could you not - on Saturday night and it was just great. Went kayaking and swimming and I really appreciate having the use of the canoes and kayak, another nice touch. The cabin was comfortable and clean and it really did look like the pictures, a pleasant surprise! Everything you could need was there, another pleasant surprise. You could really tell that the cabin had been used and loved, great vibes there! Thanks so much, we'll be back!!

We had such a nice stay at Robinson’s Cottages a few months ago, and we would love to return some day. It’s the perfect place to get away and get a break from work and life. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. There’s tons of things to do, most of which are more geared towards a summer stay, but many that are still enjoyable even in cooler months. We really enjoyed canoeing up and down the river, and we saw everything from river otters to bald eagles during our stay. There is also WiFi in many of the cabins, if you need to stay connected, but there’s definitely enough to do if you need a break from the Internet. The only downside to our stay was that we were cursed with a cold snap for the entire time, so we had to run the heater that, unfortunately, made a horrible screeching racket the entire stay. The owners did try to accommodate us, though, and we really appreciated that! If you are coming to stay during the colder months, I might recommend choosing one of the cabins that include a wood stove. It’s been a long time since we’ve stayed in a cabin, and we had a really nice time. Thank you!

This was our second year staying in cabin five for a downeast, three generation family vacation. Seven of us enjoyed a relaxing five night stay. The cabin was clean, roomy and well stocked with all the kitchen gadgets we needed to prepare family meals. When we first arrived we noted a few things we needed (paper towels and a pot scrubber, extra rolls of toilet paper) and Teresa brought them right over. If you have a large party and plan to stay awhile you should expect to provide some of your own paper products. We went through a lot and did need to go out and buy some to supplement what was provided.Outdoor temperatures varied widely during our stay but we stayed comfortable on cool evenings with a crackling fire, cool with fans during the warmer days, and cozy on cool mornings with the monitor heater. The cabin also has a giant wood stove which looks like it would heat nicely during colder months. There are so many beautiful coastal locations to visit nearby. My brother lives in Perry so we spent some time there. Sipp Bay preserve is a must see natural location. Go at low tide for fun tide pool exploring. Gleason cove is another nearby location for tide pooling and a salt water swim. There's also paddling on the river or pond and fishing and swimming and outdoor games like horse shoes and badminton. All the other five star reviews have it right...quaint, rustic, quiet and relaxing in a beautiful natural area.

My wife and I just stayed in cottage 1 for 10 days for our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect. So quiet peaceful and beautiful. If you wanna get away from it all there’s no better place. Several small towns with shopping dining and sites to see nearby like Quoddy Head state park the eastern most point in the US. Our hosts were awesome people and they run a great experience. Highly recommend!

I just returned from my third year at Robinson's Cottages. I simply cannot say enough good things about it! An absolutely beautiful location on the Denny River, so that during the quiet night you can hear the babbling of the water cascading over the rocks. Modern conveniences including a microwave. Wood stove and stone fireplace, and always plenty of wood. The Robinsons are wonderful people; each year I feel like I am returning to old friends.A couple of things: first, if wifi is important, be sure to tell them when booking. A couple of the cottages are out of range. Also, our cottage had only the fireplace and the woodstove for heat. If you want other heat, you should probably mention that also.I have stayed in many places over the years, and none have been sweeter than this. Very few have been as sweet.

I stayed at Cabin #6 for two nights and my stay was private , quiet, and relaxing. The cabin will sleep four upstairs and two on the couches downstairs. The cabin is rustic and charming, and has a screened-in porch and a large fieldstone fireplace. As my stay was in early November, it was convenient to have both the electric heater, fireplace, and wood stove available at night when the temperatures were falling - as well as an ample supply of firewood. Do ask the owners for instructions for the wood stove if you are not familiar with it. I would suggest lighting it a night because it will warm the cabin and the bedrooms upstairs very quickly.I needed a place from which to go and have a property inspected on Meddybemps Lake, as well as a quiet place to do some studying at night. Robinson's Cottages was a success on both counts. HIghly recommended.

I discovered Robinson's with a Google search and pure luck of someone cancelling their reservation for Sept 2021. I brought my 2yr old daughter and we had a blast, seeing sights around Lubec and Machias. We missed a few sights and booked a different cabin for June 2022. This time, I brought my daughter and my mother. The three of us enjoyed our time together. Unfortunately, I have run out of things to do with a 2yr old, but I plan on booking in the future, when she is old enough to enjoy hiking and sight seeing a bit more than she does. If I could give a 10 starrsting, I would

07/02/2019As we load up our car in preparation for our departure, we leave a wonderfully, peaceful cottage that we hope we'll be able to come back to some day. I really can't put into words the joy my bride and I felt during these very short past two days here but we know if at all possible, will return.Although, a bit rainy for part of the stay, we were treated to a wonderfully, starry evening allowed by the view from the front porch which also offers the openness of the gently-sloping field out front. Tucked in against a backdrop of evergreen trees, we felt we had a reasonably private place to relax from the industrialized society out and away from here.If you decide to come here for a stay as we have, you will not be at all disappointed. We only hope you all reading this post won't book Cottage up completely this coming Fall as we'd like to come back. So, leave us a small opening in September. ;-)Thumbs-up my post if you liked it and thumbs-up my post if you didn't either.IIIV

It's hard to put a price on the peacefulness atmosphere we enjoyed at Cottage #4. I would go back again anytime. The cottage could sleep 6-7 people and had just the right amount of amenities. The owners are very gracious, and we thank them for a memorable weekend.

Wish we could've stayed longer. Stayed in cabin #2 on The Dennys River. View was amazing, we enjoyed swimming in the river and had a nice fire in the waterside fire pit. Host was very kind, left us brownies and a hand written note bc she knew we were just married! Kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was very clean. We would def stay here again!

We stayed in Cottage #1 The cottage was well maintained for its age. Plenty of outlets and well stocked with dishes. No AC but plenty of fans got us through the hottest week of the summer. Great stay and friendly people!

Such a wonderful, homey and relaxing cabin. Listening to the stream rushing over the rocks in bed was so soothing and lulled us to sleep. The rock fireplace kept us toasty on a chilly autaum evening
