I love that they are open 7 days a week! The most friendly folks in Maine are working here too which makes my 4 hour round trip worth the visit!

My family travels an hour one way just to shop at the Commissary on base. The staff is so friendly and helpful, it makes it worth the trip! The Commissary is always well-stocked and has needed and interesting products. Thank you for making every grocery shopping experience excellent!

Got out of the military in 1980. Just recently received my benefits! I love this place, it's people and it's prices! Not to mention, it is very clean and food is well displayed. My wife & I are thankful for this benefit. God Bless you all for m aking us feel welcome. ❤️

Fruits and veggies were fresh and displayed very neatly. Excellent choice of meats that were fresh no old brown steaks like some stores. It's not a huge place so you might not find everything you are looking for but certainly all the basics and obviously all was at a good price. There were even meat packages under 16# for $48. Nice variety at a great deal!

I like this small commissary. It's always clean, friendly, and well priced. I've never had a single problem here, and for the size, they have a good selection.They keep well stocked, so it's nice to always find what I need.Since renovating a while back, the frozen selections greatly improved. The variety of items is actually impressive.A biggie is they try to keep their lines moving as fast as possible. So, the wait is pretty minimal.The staff is so helpful and they've gone out of their way to help me time after time. It's a 2 hour drive, but, the savings are worth it.

The new changes made shopping difficult. Carts have been moved yet again. Cashier had to ring up grocery and bag them, no bag person. So I had to take my grocery's to my car, return the cart to store. No big deal right? Need to make my government pension stretch, newly windowed, and am 83 years of age. So commissary shopping had always been so helpful. Now it is not any better than the local stores. Which are SO difficult. Is this your goal. Is this what you feel military widows deserve? Thank you for your service.Hope this will paint a different picture of your cost saving efforts.

This is a great place! The service is amazing, the food has an amazing selection, many foreign foods, and it has all of this at prices better than most other grocery stores! I can buy a gallon of whole milk for $1.00 cheaper than my local Hannaford!

The commissary may not have ALL the selections of a large supermarket, however, 99% of the time-if they don’t have it. You don’t need it!! 99% of the groceries are less than the supermarkets, you don’t have to walk a mile for something.. The staff is extremely helpful...when was the last time u went to the store and had meat bags already opened and ready for u!!!My #1 choice for a grocery store!!!!

Great prices on most things, excellent staff. Know your prices before you go. Bring coupons from other places and they'll be honored if indicated.

Just moved to ME and I'm insanely grateful that there is a commissary nearby. The selection here is considerably limited but they had what I needed. Will be back.

The Bangor ANG Commissary is a smaller store compared to many military commissaries but adequate and you can take care of most all your shopping needs.While they do carry some Organic food items, they are light on them. However, I stock up on what they do carry as the Organic food prices are reasonable there.

Smaller selection than a regular grocery store. My mother loves their deli and meat counters. I accompany my parents in for their groceries, dad's retired Navy.

Fully stocked and great prices. Its a small location so be prepared to wait at checkout, I think there are 4 to 5 registers. Would avoid it around payday.

I don't hate it ,. I think SOCIAL DISTANCING SHOULD BE ENFORCED!! NO CUSTOMER SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO COME UP TO THE AREA YOU ARE CHECKING OUT UNTIL YOU ARE DONE AND ARE LEAVING, AND PEGGY DID NOT ENFORCE THIS. I WAS FLAT TOLD YEARS AGO WHEN I WENT IN THERE THAT THERE IS LINE YOU STAND IN AND WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE MOTIONED OR TOLD TO COME TO THAT REGISTER. IM THIS DAY AND AGE WITH THE CORONA IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER!!!
