Hard to find good people.I have been remodeling and upgrading at home for over a year and a half. So several trips have been made here.Good luck if you have a question. The employees are just warm bodies. Not dedicated to a specific area, So they know nothing about the product.Google is your friend when it comes to this store and questions.

The best customer service experience in a Lowe's location. Workers are extremely helpful and kind. Shirhonda was such a wonderful helper! Our baby was amazed by her too. Mrs Karen, Mrs Shayla, Demitria, Peaches.. and others were also kind and willing to make our shopping experience pleasant and easier. I will recommend this Lowe's location to anyone!!

I placed an order for an expensive floor! They estimated the arrival time to be seven days to my surprise. It was in earlier than that which was great. It came in on Thursday January 18 and on Friday, January 19 I went to pick up my order. I arrive there around 1 PM the employee at the service desk told me that I would have to come back in an hour that I could go home and come back or go eat somewhere in Opelousas, I ask her why I had to wait because I live 40 minutes away from the store and she told me that there was no one to bring the flooring out from the back. I could not believe she was telling me this I saw employees putting freight out everywhere I said, why can’t one of these employees help us and she said because it’s not their department!! So I asked to speak to management. She told me the reason I have to wait an hour was because the only person that could bring it out was at lunch when I ask to speak to management another employee walked up and asked what the problem was so I told her what she had told me and she named someone to call to go get the flooring. The service desk employee said she won’t do anything there’s no use I call her. I cannot believe it I worked for 26 years for a major retail store and the customer always came first we were cross trained so if someone was at lunch or not there, we could take their place and take care of our customer! The service desk employee also told me that it was not her fault which I understand, but she is not trained to properly take care of her customers! Thank goodness the lady that asked me what the problem was, which I’m not sure if she was a manager or not helped me out and I got my flooring. She was very kind and professional. Little but the service is clerk Needs to be trained properly on how to take care of your customers!!

This experience in the Opelousas, Louisiana store was horrible! Physically, I went in to purchase 2 items(washer and dryer set) and paid almost $1,200.00 and received two different delivery dates, one before purchase and one after purchase. To get a call 2 days later from another store advising items were not in stock at their location and she could take my credit card information to cancel the order. This happened after reassuring that the items were in stock in their warehouse. I then called the Opelousas store(where I purchased) and was told i could call the corporate office but the order would be canceled. I was told I would have to come back to the store to reorder. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! Why should I have to call anyone or go in to repurchase when my items were paid for...it was their responsibility to find those available items at their warehouse or ship from another store location. I am never dealing with Lowes again!

The Lowes staff at the Opelousas location that helped me tonight was very helpful. Jarret initially helped us and was helpful and patient. We looked at other items in tool world and the Tool World supervisor, Bryant was awesome. I mean he was knowledgeable about the tools, which ones worked best for certain projects, etc. It was about 40 minutes to closing time as we had been in the store looking for the best tool for over a hour Bryant was so patient and didn't make us feel rushed. We ended up buying 2 tool kits even though we only came for one....lol....it was a good deal at the time. He even walked us up to the counter. Very helpful !!!

Compare to Home Depot, they are doing a good job. Sometimes you wait for anyone to show up at the isle, and if you need certain number of items, they may not have it.

Just walked out of Lowes in Opelousas, LA, and I'm pretty furious. Don't tell people how to parent their children, especially if you're going to allow unleashed large dogs in the store.

selling lawnmowers with no filters, blades etc. the air conditioner must be broken for about a year or more now. items are not being replaced when sold. the store looks good - but needs a step up in operations management.

I have been waiting at the paint counter for 45 minutes! The first 30 minutes, I was told no one was working the paint counter. Now, the past 15 minutes, a “floor sales supervisor-paint” has been here. She helped the couple before me & completely ignored me because she’s playing on her phone! Extremely unprofessional for a supervisor.

If I could give it a zero stars I would. Press the button on the packaged wire isle and see how long it takes for someone to come. When you press once it initially makes 3 announcements across the entire store. I pressed it 3 times which means 9 calls. Ended up having to hunt someone down. This is ridiculous. Now with that being said I will say the young lady that finally helped me was very nice and professional

I live and purchase frequently for small and large products they are now enforcing 90 return period for lumber return, new lumber still had tag, needed to return and purchase asked for store credit they declined to use on more product, oh well I'll go to the orange box down the road

Always helpful associates and prices are good. 8/25/22-Very disappointed in this visit to Lowes. No assistance provided when requested in the appliance department and when I tried to check out, I was told that I had to go to Customer Service eventhough there were 2 associates at the self checkout and no customers were there. 12/15/23- associate was extremely helpful and friendly. She found what we needed.

The AC was turned down to save money. No associates to be found and, of course, no warranty on products. Lowe's is going to have to step it up if they are going to stay relevant. I'll just find a better way to shop 😞

So I shop at Lowes frequently. Having a small farming business means there is always something to fix or build. I have had to return items frequently and for various reasons; have never had an issue.This past weekend my parent's GE low profile AC stopped working. It was just over a month ago that I bought it, so I was surprised and frustrated. Especially since their house was about 90 degrees and rising.I called Lowes and read off my receipt/ print out to the lady at the returns desk. She put me on hold, then said to bring it in for an exchange. I drove the 2 hours to the store ( I dont live in my moms city) and stopped in just to make sure I was good.I explained everything and gave them my documents. Both ladies at the desk read it over, looked in the computer, and said to get the AC and bring it in. I was good to go and could exchange it for a new one.A few hours in the hot sun and a wasp nest later I am back at Lowes. When I bring the AC in, the lady at the counter refuses to take it. "Oh this is a GE, and its been more than 30 days...so no you have to get in touch with GE."I explained that I told everyone it was a GE. They ALL saw the receipt and order print out. Why am I now being told something completely different.She got an attitude and refused to help any further and told me there was nothing that could be done. When I asked where the ACs were she just pointed into the store and said, "They are over there."The folks in line behind me were telling me to get a manager but, knowing how hot my moms house was, I didnt argue. I needed to get home. I bought a different ac for a couple hundred more and installed it. Had I gotten the "right answer" the first or second time I could have picked up and AC somewhere else and been done with it.Bottom Line:Get your staff on the same page. It's not fair to the customers or your staff, when things like this happen. Dont turn into Home Depot; they are notorious for this.

I went to the outdoor garden dept. Workers were friendly & helpful, however the item I I was searching for was not available. I did buy miracle gro, but didn't linger, as it was so terribly hot. In that short time, I was drenched.

They are the worst store and piss poor management and employees!!! Filled out app did two interview and back ground report which I passed they never called back or email which they were supposed too when I finally got a hold of someone they lied and said I didn’t pass which I have the copy! This was a month later after calling them every day which customer service would just put me on hold and never answer. No wonder they call this the rundown store can’t see anybody ever staying there which is there problem and I see why!!! Horrible experience thank God I didn’t start working there God saved me from that hell of a store!!!

Just left Lowe’s in Opelousas . We had to interact with four employees. The lady and gentleman in electrical department were extremely nice and helpful , the lady at checkout and I assume the other lady (possibly a manager) were rude and not helpful or polite.

Returned an item yesterday at Lowe’s Opelousas store. I shop there 2-3 times a week as I’m retired and always have home projects.(Lol). Just setting this up.3 cashiers at customer service for returns (👍) all African American cashiers waiting on 3 African American customers, so no problem I wait my turn. The middle register opens up so I approach her with my return and give my spill just want to return for credit on my Lowe’s card. I look up and the cashier doesn’t say a word and is pointing to other register. I said I don’t understand, she finally talked and said other register. (Funny she was just open till I walk up.?)Ok I wait for some time for the person at the first register to finish their transaction and proceed with my return, all went well with that. All the while the customer service representative at the middle register (that told me other register) is standing there snickering and talking with cashier at 3rd register. I didn’t feel that was right so I went up front to complain. Asked for store manager and was told they are not at store (🤪). Person I ask for help goes to customer service and of course the lady I had problems with comes up and of course she says she is an area manager and that’s who I’m complaining about(🤬). Anyway she did have a slightly better attitude when she saw I was serious ( no snickering anyway) and had week excuse that she was not on the clock—- Come on, she was helping with a return when I was waiting in line then when I walk up she is conveniently not punched in but stands there then comes talk with me as area manager!!!(REALLY!!!).Lowes- Racial bias goes both ways!!! Was it because I was the only white man there??? I would hope not but I really feel it may have played a factor. If so, someone in customer doesn’t need to have these biases , they need to be stocking shelves and not dealing with the public.The customer service rep at The Opelousas store is Nicole, she has red and black hair and tattoos all over her arms. Hopefully management at store,( or corporate )read this and address the issue, as I would hope Lowe’s would be concerned.Come on Lowe’s, I know workers are hard to find but customer service (area manager lol) you can do better !!!!! And for the record I NEVER complain about anything!!!!
