I really like this Rouses' location! Not only is it convenient but its convenient lol!!! From fresh produce to hot prepared boiled or baked meals, are usually on handy. I also appreciate their sushi section. Now I'm not saying it's the biggest, it's actually quite small but I can actually say there is always a great, fresh variety of rolls!I literally only love Rouses for their cashew and nuts selections lol because sometimes they can be a little pricey, but I literally love the sushi and variety nuts....Most of the time I am in and out in no time and there is always fresh produce stocked in the produce department. BTW on my delicious cheat days, I love to get Rouses baked fresh cookies. OMG the bakers definitely do an awesome job of making them nice and tasty. I went to this location about 7pm tonight March 22, 2024. I went in line 7 to checkout about 7:20pm I brought a bag of fishing shrimp, a few pounds of crawfish, oranges, and a case of water. I had other things to do before I went to take my kids fishing. Two hours went by before we went fishing. I noticed that the cashier put the shrimp in the same bag as the oranges. The bag had a lot of juice from the shrimps all over the oranges. A complete contamination. Immediately went back to the same store and showed the manager. It was a guy with a blue shirt on. He asked what cashier did we go to, I told him 7. The cashier denied putting the shrimp in the bag with the oranges. One thing I can’t stand is a liar, she should have apologize about it but she didn’t, the manager is also awful about the situation because he ask me where is the receipt. Is the receipt really important at this point????? No apologies, only said to get another bag of shrimp and oranges, I only needed the oranges replaced and not the shrimp because the shrimp is only going to be used to fish with…. I’m disgusted with the way that was handled. Only thing the cashier admitted to was checking us out.The cashiers NEED to learn food safety immediately and what not to put in the bag together!!

Deli workers are rude. Please hire more.April 15th 2024 at 6:30 ish pm I'm waiting in line for about eight minutes, while a worker is wiping down the glass in front of me and the other one is on her phone with her headsets in cutting meat and ignoring me and the lady behind me after about 9 or 10 minutes I say hey excuse me are you going to take my order she says very very very extremely rudely I'm doing something I'm taking care of another customer I say well that's fine but you could at least acknowledge us we've been here for so long I didn't see you standing there that's what she said I said you didn't see me I'm almost 200 lb you definitely saw me she gets loud and I walk off I will be calling rouses managers to file a complaint if you had a customer before me but I was the first in line at least acknowledge me and say hey I'm coming soon but instead she was rude extremely rude and she was on her phone maybe listening to music. The deli here is horrible this isn't the first time this has happened, please acknowledge your customers.

Excellent customer service. They were out of oysters. (Here in South Louisiana you *have* to stuff your turkey with oysters etc.) So the seafood manager called other stores and found a pint. They held them for me. Xmas dinner saved!

I have been coming to rouses for the last few years to get my kids cake and cup cakes. And this year for my daughter 2nd birthday I put in for her cake and cup cakes at the beginning of March 2024 for April and upon picking it up at the pick up time they tell me the cake is not ready and they dont have an order for cup cakes so now my daughter cant have her party at school because there is no cup cakes. This is a very bad inconvenience for me and my daughter birthday party at school and at home. They had almost a month to prepare her cake and yet at pick up time they need an extra 10-30mins to put the cake together because they don’t have a decorator of staff. Never again will i order from rouses on Franklin 70126

This store is well above average for the typical grocery store, but not in the top tier of what Rouses has to offer. They have the typical good quality Rouses brands, good prices, nice and clean with friendly staff. Where they may be lacking is in the breadth and depth of their prepared meals and deli. Example: Several prepared chicken dishes that required baking - they didn't have the variety I would expect and the labels were ship-shod with no cooking temp or times.

I love this rouses and its location. However, on 2/25/24 I made two purchases for snow crabs . On second return to purchase the snow crabs , the box didn’t have a tag. Annalisha asked for customer service help and Ms. Regina walked over. Ms. Regina had a very nasty disposition with annalisha. Annalisha was providing good customer service to me and my family. Ms. Regina however did not assist with the price check and had the nerve to have an attitude when ANNALISHA ASKED FOR AN OVERIDE. When we initially went to do the price check, Ms. Regina did not assist or come to verify the price. So please, don’t have an attitude with someone that took the initiative to help a customer(me) . Annalisha I hope you have a better day thanks for showing up to work.

In my understanding heat and eat means cooked or pre cooked, FULLY COOKED. Well rouses idea is a raw freaking turkey. RAW. Most ppl like myself who work a lot, elderly, sick, disabled purchase these things to cut down on time. Now just why on god's green earth would I purchase a heat and turkey thinking or knowing it's raw and I have to cook it myself. That's what I paid for the convenience for. Otherwise I would've gotten a frozen turkey myself. I was also lied to and said they do fried turkeys but it would be cold, hear and eat and I'd just have to run it in the oven. Their so called manager says they tell everyone they're raw which is a lie because I'd have never purchased it.

Odd reasons why I like this Rouses: it has a ‘make your own’ peanut butter/almond butter/ chocolate peanut butter section where it is prepared and you can grind it fresh. That’s something I haven’t seen at any other Rouses- not yet at least. Reasons why I don’t like: They have ZERO shopping cart corrals in the parking lot hence the shopping carts are EVERYWHERE!

One of the better, more spacious, well stocked Rouses in the area. Just near the Lakefront & U.N.O. this location has ample parking & a vast beer and wine selection as do the others.Friendly, knowledgeable staff make doing here a breeze.

I was harassed the last two times I went to this store. Both times it was an old male security guard. They made inappropriate remarks about my gender and race. First it was an old white security guard. Today it was an old Black security guard.They harrass women who shop there. Both of them tried to touch me.I don’t feel safe there.

Keitrell is such a sweetheart and very helpful. This store has good customer service. They need more organic and Whole Food/ Trader Joe's type selections. They do have areas that have these types of products but the selection is limited.

Literally watched an employee and a customer pick out crawfish from the ice chest and eating it right there in front of it with their bare hands . I can only imagine the bacteria and germs in there. Will not be getting any crawfish from here ever again just disgusting .

Still the standby for Gentilly residents, been going here for years. Food prices hikes since the Pandemic have hit this place too, but they still have a lot of good deals to be found. Everyone is super friendly and fun and helpful, from the cart-wrangler out in the parking lot to the bakers who have such delights as Red Velvet Gentilly cake plus they have a good selection of hot foods prepared like pizza 🍕...

Rouses has a nice selection of produce and meat. I have found that their produce does not spoil as fast as the produce purchased from other stores. Their bakery has a variety of cakes, and a chocolate cake that is just awesome for chocolate lovers! The wine selection is good for a broad selection of wine.

I have not been here since the situation during the elections. When I went there I noticed that everything has gone up like 4x as much. I will say this. The staff was very friendly. I don't go here often because they have become so expensive. I paid $7.00 for a bag of grapes which was insane.

Drove in from Tomball, Tx. Have a craving for crawfish and remembered the deals from my last year visit. Carrollton location debit pay was off line so security suggested I drive to location near Lakefront. They were friendly and walked me to my car with purchased items due to sciatica nerve pain. Thx

Didn't even know this place was here! Haven't gone inside but the drive up Franklin was lovely and the parking lot was not packed and I would say it is probably one of the easiest rouses to manage in the city if I had to take a guess. Just based off the outside. I actually went to Quest Diagnostics which is in the same lot.

People here are very helpful and nice to speak with when needing help. The store is very pristinely stocked. Sometimes the fruit is really bad with fruit flies everywhere but the fresh vegetables are always there when i need them i love shopping here. Best family grocery store to run into for my first time out of state.

I mean... I miss Kroger, but this isn’t a bad place to shop. Wish the price tags would include price per unit for easier comparison shopping. Also wish there’d be more open registers in the evenings when many people shop. Very clean and well organized. The service is good when you get to the register. Overall it’s a positive experience.
