I visited recently an stepped n the store on Canton 2 friends & I an my daughter went to b household cleaners for my new apt an baby it was spotless who ever manages that store it's like I step back in the 80 s when it used to b National canal villerre I resided in this neighborhood 1985 my son Brandon was a lil baby an I tell u I felt so good shopping there & the security guards as well was very nice great experience store was clean products neatly stocked ..like it used to n the 80 s Andrea Nicole Smith New Orleans Louisiana born & raised.Charityhospital can't wait to see it too.

Definitely some "hits and misses" in the past with this particular store in terms of customer service, but recently, it looks like those cashiers are gone (yay!). There is always a fantastic collection of items at really good prices, and the shop is very well-organized. I'll be making another trip to the store today!

Good customer service. They are nicer than the other stores. And most items I found quickly on .yoy shopping list, if I asked for help, employees went out their way to find them for me. Best dollar store in NOLA.

Caton St location (New Orleans, LA.) Friendly, caring, and patient Customer Service & Manager, my husband is Disabled and they treat us so well. I used to think the staff was following us, but they were actually making sure we were taken care of. Love them!

It was nice and clean very good customer service, but a lot of elderly people go there and they should have shopping carts because if there getting like house hold goods they can't carry that stuff n know hand baskets....

When I really need something, in a clutch, I'll go here. But normally, I'll drive to a better store, to get what I nesf & want; as the customer service here are very subpar, rude & very unprofessional. And to top it off, the lines are very long, 90% of the time, w/1 or 2 cashiers. The remaining employees are on the floors stocking while on their phones gossiping or listening to music, walking around the store looking lost, in the stock room or in managers office gossiping.

Excellent selection of bath and beauty products. A gallon of milk $3.60. 50% off clothing now. Great all around store for the little things. Don't buy junk food, but if you do, they have aisles of it.

People are very nice they remember who you are. Store could use some mopping behind and in between shelves. Because of the people this store services some frozen vegetables, unsalted crackers, frozen chicken, and a few fresh fruit would help diets. High blood pressure and diabetes are prevelent in this area.

Convenient, great selection, well stocked, great service, and low prices. Also check out their coupons on-line which will scan automatically when you check out. Whenever I am in Gentilly I am in Family Dollar, especially since the Rite-Aide closed. A solid 4.5.

The Family Dollar in this location in not up to standards for the organization. This location in the beautiful neighborhood of Gentilly in New Orleans, it offer an array of items such as clothes, toys, beauty supplies, and food. Inside the store items are neatly displayed it is a great quick drop-in. The store needs to control trash in the parking lot.

There were baskets, a bunch of them...That is quite unusual and made my experience better... Unless, I am desperate I will not shop if a shopping cart is not available. Finally shopping carts for everything & everyone. Yippee!

not expecting a beautifully organized store - for minimum wage, no one's gonna hyper-organize something that'll stay right for 0.0006 seconds. it was clean and the ppl were nice. 5/5 will go again

This is THE WORST place I have EVER been in my life...The customer service is awful corporat hire people who WANT to work...The cashier texting on phone smacking gum..the Line usually is around the block EVERY experience I had here was awful...EVERYTIME I went..As many places as Ive been by far this one is THE WORST. Honestly something needs to be done about this store.
