I’ve visited many times, service is sometimes slow, but the atmosphere and the view really are worth it. The food is good. The coffee is always good and the selection is plenty. There is an alcohol menu with plenty of signature drinks perfect for brunch. This is a great place to meet for brunch with friends or family when you have time to sit and visit and enjoy the view.

I use to love this place but the quality of the food has TREMENDOUSLY decreased while the price has continued to increase. This food is not worth the price they are charging. Look at these $16 “pesto panini”. I count about 3 slices of DELI turkey folded over, with very minimal amounts of the additional condiments. They are charging $16 for this with a few fries… it is so sad because the atmosphere and service is 5 stars. I just wish the food price would match the quality. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

The service was good, but the product is absolutely horrible. I ordered a dark roast coffee that tasted like pure hot water with a coffee twist. The Cookies and Cream frozen drink was bitter and the ooey gooey cake was stale and dry.The atmosphere seems fantastic and the view is great, but if the coffee is a representation of the quality of the rest of the menu please avoid this place

Omg, so glad we found this place! We were literally driving by, on an errand, and noticed the huge, old, oaks covering the patio. It’s late June, just now, and the breeze is nice outside.Although the AC works well we opted for the patio. Our waitress, Jessica, is fantastic, the food amazing and the beer cold. It’s about 5 min south of I10 and worth every minute of the detour to be off the highway. Take a few minutes and enjoy the tranquility of rural Louisiana. We will make a point of stopping each time we come this way.

This has literally been one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had! The bacon was perfect, the eggs scrumptious, the pancakes large and they even let me get one with chocolate chips and ones with blueberries inside!! Shannon was our server and she was super kind and helpful!! They even moved us to another table because my sister is pregnant!! So we could be more comfortable! Would highly recommend!

Update: Actually went to eat there for Sunday brunch. The place was busy with a wait and that's to be expected. On this day, they were obviously under staffed. We never saw the same server twice but that alone is fine. The coffee put a few more hairs in my chest, but I'm okay with strong coffee. Our food took a little long to arrive. When it arrived mine was hot and delicious. The Cajun praline chicken and waffles were excellent. However, my wife's Eggs Benedict didn't have the hollandaise sauce on one of the eggs. Wish I had taken picture of hers. There was enough sauce on her plate that she could slosh the eggs around though, and like I said, service was slow and infrequent so we didn't ask for more sauce. They have a new menu that we'll have to try out.Though it didn't affect my rating, I happened to see a co-worker who waited 40 minutes for coffee. She was enjoying conversation with a friend so wasn't bothered much by this. But this further confirms that poor service wasn't limited to us.I was expecting to offer five stars like the Covington location but can only justify 4 stars based on this visit, some of that based on the Covington location experience. If we return and service is similar, a reduction in stars would be warranted.Original post:I went there for an engagement party, not a regular dining experience. It was nice especially since we were able go to onto the outdoor patio. The primary room was satisfactory but would have been insufficient, in my opinion, if weather was inclement. Limited but nice food selection. For small gatherings, I would recommend this place.Parking: During Sunday brunch, there may be a block or two walk to find parking.

September 30, 2023.Delicious.Always a great view and delicious food.So on June 11th hubs and I went down there for a great conservative view of the river and enjoy the people down at The Roasting Company and it was great to see a refreshing amount of people who are very very young eager to work and are all wonderfully polite people attending to the tables and the people who came into the restaurant congratulations the food was good the omelets were great the breeze was wonderful the birds were chirping in the great oak trees that covered up the seating area wonderful ambianceGreat spot to enjoy a view of the river set behind the framed view of huge branches of old and majestic live oak trees adorned and dripping with Spanish miss. The front porch dining area is the perfect spot to have a lazy day with a bloody Mary and enjoy a priceless view while enjoying some nibbly things. As summer wainscoting on September 3rd of 2022, we sit and enjoy toasted bagels with creamed cheese and smoked salmon sliced with capers and thin shred onion and sliced tomatoes. The view of the river is stunning.

For our daughter's wedding this past Saturday we had Abita roasting cater an incredible breakfast with egg sandwiches and pastries for breakfast while the wedding party was getting ready, and then came back later in the afternoon and catered our dinner. Compliments from everyone; it was absolutely fantastic! High quality, fresh, great portions. Cannot wait to use them again.

What a nice setting and even though it was drizzling out, there's just something about dining by the water. Omelettes, a side of eggs for Darcy, and a chocolate milk for me finally took care of my brunch craving. They are not currently doing table service, but everyone was sweet and they even brought Doodle a bowl of water. 🍳🥓

This has been a longtime favorite, high staff turnover lately but service was good and pleasant. The coffee tasty as always. The Brussel sprouts was only reason l came today!

Quiet place by the water with fantastic food. One high is the all day breakfast - they have the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Crispy on the edges, not too moist or too dry…I mean I ate it without syrup if that means anything. I have been to another abita roasters and that one had equally good food. Staff was friendly and accommodating for our large group. Good tshirts, too.

This is one of my new favorite coffee shops. The place is carved out of a beautiful old home with southern charm. They have a cozy fireplace in the front room. The banquet room features a coffee bean roaster that is quite impressive. They serve pastries and delicious lunch entrees. Some nights they even have live music featuring local talent. There is plenty of outdoor seating in front and in the rear. The front overlooks the majestic oak lined Tchefuncte river. People commonly drive boats up to the riverside and walk into this lovely coffee shop for lunch or a beer. This is also a great place for wedding receptions or company parties.

You can't stop in Madisonville without visiting this gem. The environment is one of the best authentic home town dines in Louisiana. A truly southern experience.
