A wonderful day for a great cause! If you can, go and spend a day there. They only have 2 times a year yo bisit these chimps. They do a remarkable job! Everyone should support this endeavor!

Although these animals should never have been kept in captivity, I truly believe they are better off here than the places they were. The chimps seem relaxed and able to have social relationships with each other. The caretakers we spoke with seemed to genuinely have their best interests at heart.

Awesome experience! I cannot wait to go back! They have so much information to give to those who visit! I loved visiting this place! I love they only have 4 Saturday’s a year and don’t make this like a zoo experience! It is a true learning experience for those who know little about chimpanzees!

10/10 for their Discovery Day! Very informative and kind workers! Nicely organized! Everything seemed to go off without a hitch! We chose to also do the optional informational hayride and it was such a treat! Thank y'all for everything you do!

Design and human functionality top notch. Went to meet the chimps day and staff was available for information, questions, curious facts, etc. Concession were by donation and enough to suit any basic needs.Got an golf car assist to get to my car with my sleeping grandson in my arms. So grateful!Chimpanzees were easily viewed and their enrichment had been designed to keep them in public viewing areas.

Had a great outdoor adventure today, hiking the Monkey Trail. Nice area! It was really cool being out in the forest hearing the echoes of the chimps. Loved it!

Wonderful experience. Highly recommend visiting one of the two times they open up to the public each year. They also have private tours that can be book to see the behind the scenes.

Had such a good time here! What a beautiful spot for the chimpanzees who are almost all retired from biomedical research. Informative and a true sanctuary evidenced by the grounds (lots of open space/habitats as opposed to small cages), not open to the public majority of the time, no exploitation of animals, very limited human/chimp contact and everything done is in the best interest of the Chimps.

I came here for a veterinary field trip and was very impressed with the operation. The amount of time, attention, and care that the staff put in is quite staggering. Dr Jackson is awesome! She's very knowledgeable yet still approachable and friendly and it's very obvious that she loves her job. Definitely a great place to educate yourself and your friends!

I'm rating Haven A+ and I haven't even experienced it except on TV.😜 I've lived in the Delta and Houston my entire life (I'm 62 yrs) and I've never known about this amazing place! It's gorgeous, it's built beautifully, the knowledge that the special humans have and how they interact with the chimps... Wow! As soon as it's safe, I will be going. I won't even mention Jane Lynch telling the story...lol... I knew the minute I heard her. Every human there should feel soooooo proud. Incredible!❤💙💛💜💚🙈🙉🙊

Nice and friendly staff. I had an awesome and informative morning.I highly recommend getting there as they open. Not because of the crowds, but chimps were mostly active just after release time.

Chimp Haven is an outstanding organization. They care for over 200 chimps and the staff is so kind. Great open air facilities and trees for the chimps. I highly recommend the chimp chat and chew experience, in which you can learn more about the chimps and get a behind the scenes tour to get closer to them. I'm so grateful this place exists and can give chimps a better life ! It's on beautiful land too.

We drove for 3 hours with my grandson that is 4 and got there with every one else to see a sign that said canceled. Some people had driven 5 hours. Very disappointing. Here is how my grandson felt. Took a picture if him crying but could not post it. He begged us all day to take him to see the chimpanzee. Makes me so upset. Most likely will never go back. And certainly not support it.😡😡😡😰😰
