This is one of my favorite places to pick up pre packaged goodies. Things like stuffed pork chops, shrimp sails, and my favorite is the chicken salad. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Always willing to go out of their way to make sure your happy. I also love their wide assortment of sauces and seasonings that they sell that you just can’t find in any grocery stores.

This is byfar the best cuts i have ever tried, filet minon was tender, flavorful and juicy.. Sausages are well seasoned, pork chops stuffed were amazing, let’s not mention packaging and delivery of food was in icy cooler and well preserved. love the owners are very friendly and customer service is at its finest.

They have a very friendly staff. The store has been modified to allow for social distancing. I love their marinated pre-packaged meats. I got two pasha of bacon wrapped filet mignon steaks.

Went there today to purchase a beef tenderloin. Both the service, and quality of the meat were excellent. They took the time to take the roast back to tie it up after I had asked if they sold twine. They also offered to vacuum seal or wrap it in paper depending on when I was cooking it.They really took the few extra seconds to provide exceptional service!

Watch what you receive, ordered a Turducken which is advertised at 16/lbs (16-18lbs 'approx' on who they send you to for shipping) and it arrived at 13.5lbs which is a $40 difference when having it shipped.

I have a friend that goes fishing down in South Louisiana every year. And this is a must for him to stop at for me, we buy the turducken for Thanksgiving. The first year we really did not know what to think, is it just a novelty? Well I’m gonna tell you what if you’re in doubt and you wonder whether or not you should do this the answer is yes! This thing is absolutely unbelievable. Everybody that comes over absolutely loves it! They are saying things like I can’t believe I just ate duck, but the flavor profile of this is stunning. Do yourself a favor and buy that sucker!

This place used to be incredible, we've been eating their stuff for over 10 years. Our favorite is the shrimp stuffed chickens but the last 10-12 we have bought have had little to no shrimp at all. The one we cooked tonight literally had zero shrimp in it. Sorry to see this happen.

Absolutely the BEST!! Everything that they have is unbelievably great. The sausage stuffed boneless chicken can easily become an addiction I am sure ;) It is a hit with everyone I have ever fixed it for as well. All of the employees are so nice and kind. They go above and beyond and have for me before. I will definitely keep going back whenever I am around this part of town. I live pretty far from here unfortunately. But if you are around, you must stop here.

We love this place. This is the second year we bought a turducken from these folks. It’s delicious and arrives to us in Southern California in perfect condition. Even though we ordered very close to Christmas Eve, we got it in time. The instruction sheet that comes with it makes it so easy. I highly recommend this place!!

I am always a satisfied customer everytime I go into this establishment. The staff is warm and welcoming. They greet each customer as you enter. You feel like you are part of an extended family. No question, if I would go back. It is a matter of when.

This was my first experience with gourmet butcher block. Ordering was simple and delivered on time. Very expensive for Turduckhen at $200 plus shipping - even if a John Madden original. The provided cooking instructions for a thawed Turduckhen will render a dried out disaster with white cardboard. So disappointed with the results. My advice is to utilize an instant meat thermometer (or an Meater Plus) and test it every 30 minutes after 3.5 hours. Perhaps they will add temperature guidance on their instructions in the future.

Very disappointing. The bacon burgers were very small and taste like processed meat with no good flavor. And for $25 for a pack of 10, I expected these burgers to be really good. These burgers are extremely overpriced. I also got the stuffed shrimp.. now these are a complete joke. Like $15 for 10 shrimp. But these are literally the smallest shrimp I have ever seen. It’s basically a big bowl of bread crumbs shoved on top of a tiny shrimp. Now I know this place has several other items, but based on what I paid for these items and how horrible the quality was I do not recommend this place and I will not be returning.

Wow everything here tastes so good y’all! The stuffed chicken is to die for. If y’all fixin to get some bread pudding, this is the place to go. Everyone who works here and the owners are real cool too. I actually have a deep freezer in the garage and keep it stocked with Gourmet Butcher Block everything! Go Saints!

I love their stuff chickens and chicken salad. Tried their chicken cracklings for the first time. Those things are the devil. Between my granddaughter and I my hubby barely got a taste. They were so good.

I'm a big fan of Gourmet Butcher Block. I usually get the boneless stuffed chickens i have tried all of the selections they have, but eat more of the shrimp stuffed chicken. I also enjoy the beef and chicken kabobs. I love the fact that all I have to do is cook it as instructed. I never leave there without some bread pudding and sauce!

Have been here several times and never been disappointed. The stuff catfish, turduckin sausage and stuff quail are my favorites. Bought some boudin and bacon wrapped stuffed chicken thighs to try this time. I'm sure it will be good as every thing else that I have bought from here.The place is always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We have been going there for 5 years now, its a small drive from Metairie but not once have we been disappointed. Store has always be exceptionally clean and good customer service! Most recent purchase was the shrimp and corn bisque and is was great! Tried only eating a bowl full, ended up eating it all!!

Stuffed chicken, pork chops, sausage and gumbo all brought me back to New Orleans! The bread pudding is so good it should be illegal. Shipped promptly and perfectly. Fantastic.

This place is a little out of the way if you're in NOLA, but so worth it if you want to take home authentic Cajun meats.The Boudin isn't the best ever, but it's good. The small links come two in a vacuum pack. There are also interesting things like stuffed boneless chickens (worth a try, btw), stuffed port roasts, and various sausages and meats. The store was clean, had a good selection, but the service wasn't super-friendly.

much pre seasoned meat. Lacks choice of steak cuts so no porterhouse. If your a chef or cook you will have to wait longer for meat choices that are not preseason. Family owned and run in LA. Customer service lacks friendliness. Very clean store and locals seem to like it. It is nice if we had a service all fresh meat

I don't think of it as a traditional butcher. I think of it more of a Cajun specialty prepared meat shop. The pepper jack chicken sausage, the pork breakfast sausage, the stuffed boneless chickens with various dressings... All delicious. I wouldn't go there however to get specific steaks etc. New Orleans has plenty of great grocers.. Even big chain stores have very high quality meat departments.

Love, love, love this place! I but all my meat from here. One thing is just better than the next. Today I bought country ribs, chicken pepperjack cheese, brisket & cheese sausage, and potato stuffing. All Amazing!!
