Wonderful veterinarian clinic. Dr. Waddle, and all of her staff are extremely friendly, kind, and genuinely care about the animals they treat. Every bill is completely itemized, so you know exactly what you're paying for as well. The only vet I'll go to!

Called DeSoto Veterinary Hospital to see my cat, who had an animal bite on her hind leg, which left an open wound, and I was very concerned about the possibility of infection and it not healing properly. They were able to take me in right away. They were friendly, yet very professional (yes, both!), and took amazing care of my cat. They explained her treatment plan and care, and they even followed up twice to make sure she was healing well. DeSoto Veterinary Hospital will now be my pets' primary caregiver. I am more than willing to drive the distance for much better care from a vet and staff who are kind, compassionate, communicative and respectful, and who truly care about the welfare of my pets. I can't say enough about how exceptional these folks are and what a breath of fresh air it was to interact with people who are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My dog has an appointment next week, so I will be sure to update my review after her visit.

I brought my dog in after an attack from a pit bull and the employees said you can’t bring him in because we are short staffed. Told us to go down to Stonewall. Boudreaux died in route. Not one ounce of compassion. The vet didn’t come out and even look at him. The only kind words came from a customer in the waiting room saying ma’am I will pray for you and your sweet dog. I am devastated at the loss but not blaming them for the loss just the lack of empathy. Shame on them. That’s not who I would want to entrust my precious animals with. On the other hand, Stonewall (Pineridge I believe) was amazing. Even though he was gone. They put him in a beautiful box and loved us through our tears.

Dr. Waddle & her staff take the best care of ALL of our fur babies, 6 dogs & 3 cats. Dr Waddle & her staff go above & beyond to answer our questions & calm our fears. Dr. Waddle is so kind and compassionate. She loves her four-legged patients with all of her heart. She has worked hard to try and squeeze in my pets last minute when I really needed her, even when her schedule is already full! She's the only doctor at the clinic, and we can really feel the love she's poured into it! It's truly like family.

We moved our animals from Stonewall to here a good while back. I got 5 dogs spayed/neutered for the price of 2 in Stonewall. When Raven had seizures and finally had to be put to sleep, they were magnificent on making it easy for him and us. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and its staff.

We have used this clinic for years. Dr. Waddle did her best with our Daisy and now takes excellent care of Buddy. The staff is always courteous and professional. They love on and play with Buddy like he is their own. I highly recommend this clinic.

Good veterinary services, but busy. Very busy! - but, got me in after I was over an hour late for my appointment. Dr. Waddle made me feel comfortable with her grasp and knowledge of my mare's problems. The staff were competent, efficient, and helpful. I would have easily rated them 5-stars if I had not felt so rushed. I did not ask and get answers to all of my questions (my fault). I would not hesitate to use them again.

Use to like this vets office, now they want to charge a $60 no show for a vet visit I MYSELF didn't even make, and wasn't aware was made. I've tried to call and clear that up, and was told they basically didn't care about my personal life and what I had going on, and that they weren't going to waive the fee. That's fine, I'll pay the fee and they can lose my business.Great veteranarian, poor business.***Editing to add since I can't comment back***As far as the appointment and me telling them I have covid, I thought that was the appointment I had made. I was unaware that my FRIEND had made another appointment for my dogs. I myself didn't receive a text or notification.Secondly, the receptionist did not politely tell me she was unaware of the situation, she rudely told me "she did not care what I had going on in my life, and that they were not going to waive the fee"DR WADDLE is a great veterinarian, no doubt. However, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and is the reason (although it may not seem like much to people, but it is to me) why they will lose my business.I'd chose $500-$600 a year over $60 for a lifetime anyday.I Was upset with them and not my friend for the fact that the secretary was so rude and unprofessional.

In today's world, finding a veterinarian who works with large animals (cattle, horses, etc.) is hard to come by, especially one that works with small animals also. I have used Dr. Waddle and her crew on multiple occasions and have had nothing but great experiences. From performing routine breeding soundness exams on bulls, conducting a C-Section in the field at night on a young heifer, to amputating a severely injured leg on our farm dog. This clinic has done nothing but put their best foot forward and given their all to the patients that they have seen for me on my farm. If you are looking for a dedicated vet, I highly recommend DeSoto Veterinary Hospital and Mobile Services.

Dr Waddle and her staff give top notch care to every patient that comes into her clinic.They treat every pet patient as if it were their own personal animal companion.I love having a vet that can treat not only my dogs but my horses, goats and cows.I will always recommend Dr. Waddle to anyone looking for a vet.

While Dr. Waddle is very nice the care for our dog was mediocre. Took her in to be spayed got her home the next day and she wouldn’t eat and vomited non stop had to rush her back. After a week she lost 7 lbs and had to be taken to the emergency vet in Shreveport for the weekend. Located another vet for care and it was discovered that during the initial surgery damage was done to our dogs esophagus. 3 weeks later and we are still dealing with this and our watching our dog slowly deteriorate. Might be good for large animals but if you love your dog don’t go here unless you like watching them slowly wither away and like paying a large amount of money to vets to try and save them

if i could give no stars, i would :) we wasted an entire year with our mare. All because we brought her to this vet, and we were told that she was 5 months pregnant. it’s been well over 11 months and still no foal. We call them back, to see why would they tell us that she was 5 months pregnant and they tell us that maybe a buzzard ate the foal.. in other words, saying that she miscarried. when we assured them that she was in a small closed in spot, no buzzard or any other animal could have gotten to her. She was never pregnant, they just told us what we wanted to hear.

This is the 4th time I have been here, yet they had none of my records. I have filled out the paperwork, each time, and paid in full. Secondly, being honest, I find Desoto Veterinary Hospital to be quite expensive. The quote I was given for my dog's condition was extraordinary! (I researched prior to going, and it was 6 1/2 times over the average cost, not including the $165 I paid today.) Due to their proximity to me, I go there first, unfortunately I think this will be my last. The ladies that helped me with my dog were quite sweet and gentle, and that's why I have given them 2*, however the cons have outweighed the pros. From now on, I will drive the extra miles.

I took both of my dogs to the Desoto Veterinary Hospital on Hwy 171 in Grand Cane, La. I received service that was beyond my expectations in caring for my dogs, excellent!I had struggled desperately for over 2 years to find a way to cure one of my dog's from scratching and pulling his hair out. After leaving my dog with Dr. Jon Reddick, he came home and has never had a problem with his skin again and he is not on any special diet nor medications.Their staff was super nice and a week after I had my first dog in I had to leave my other dog for his yearly check-up. Both came home healthier and happy. I was so grateful, because my dogs are like kids to me.So, I highly recommend Dr. Jon and his staff.

Not good at all. Took dog to vet that wasn't throwing up. Got looked at and some shots get home puppy won't stop throwing up and is dieing right in front of my kids. Worst experience ever. Said no parvo but now looking at a dead puppy and crying kids.. I'm so not done with this vet.
