"My visit to Hutch's Ace Hardware for propane refilling left much to be desired. Arriving 10 minutes before closing, I encountered grumpy staff and unfriendly vibes. While I've had positive interactions in the past, today was a different story. No one assisted me with lifting the heavy propane cylinder into my truck, leaving me stranded. The cashier's service resembled a DMV experience, lacking any warmth or efficiency. While I understand the timing of my visit, basic courtesy shouldn't be compromised. Disappointing overall."

Do not get them to work on anything stihl I spent 150 dollars on a chainsaw that still doesn’t run correctly i m not bringing it back again either hutch they attempted multiple times!!!UPDATE 15 dollar carburetor off amazon and 15 minutes watching a YouTube video and a little tuning and it runs better than ever it appears they didn’t even mess with the carburetor to me save your self the headache

I ordered Blackstone 4 burner griddle online from Ace Hardware’s website on May 13 with delivery from Hutch's Ace Hardware scheduled for June 2 (surprise birthday gift). Left my phone number as the contact.I called May 31 to make sure everything was still on schedule. Person answering phone was clearly annoyed that I was asking for an update, but I was eventually told it was assembled and waiting for delivery. Called again Friday June 2 at 12:00 to check on delivery. After the same attitude I was told it would be delivered within an hour of lunch.When I hadn't received a thank you from the recipient (son), I called him Sunday evening to check and was told no gift was received. Never delivered! Surprise, your birthday gift is NOTHING!Monday morning, I showed up at Hutch's to speak with a manager. After 10 minutes waiting, when none was available, I asked for a refund on my purchase and shared the details with Stephanie who has the same last name as the owner. After the refund process was completed, I was told "thank you", but received no apology nor any excuse for their failure. Only after I voiced my shock at not receiving an apology, was a weak, insincere apology offered.This store is perfectly situated, miles from the big box stores and is local to dozens of housing developments. They carry almost everything you can find on the Ace website and is staffed well by young people eager to help. People love this store. Hutch’s Ace Hardware has it so good, they do not care about disappointing or losing a single customer or a $500 sale.

Went to Hutchs hardware and Stephanie is truly an asset that needs to remain there. I went in for two key fobs and a copy of my van key. She informed me that she couldn't copy the key because they didn't have the machine needed to cut the key.She referred me to a place that could do it. Went to that place and found out the $320 that I paid for the 2 fobs, I could have gotten from that place for $120. I won't name the place because this post is about how lucky Hutchs is to have her as an employee.There was another customer looking for dye for cement and 3 other workers couldn't help him nor find what he needed Stephanie was able to go right to what the customer needed and assist him.The only negative experience for me was leaving and going to the other business only to find out I paid double at hutch than I would have paid if I went straight to that business first.

Stop wasting your time & money at the big box stores! The employees here greet you promptly & always strive to provide exceptional customer service. If they don’t have what you need they’ll tell you where you can it get it. However, they most likely have everything you want and more!

Great store for getting the slightly harder to find items needed to finish your project. Also a great place if you don't want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the larger big box stores. Prices are very reasonable and selection is pretty good for smaller items. The store can be a little hard to navigate but the extremely friendly and helpful service more than makes up for that. If you can't find what you need, there is someone right around the corner to help.

Hearing others mention Hutch's Hardware on Hwy 621 - I decided to call today to see if they had an item I needed. Yes! they had it - as I was driving to Hutch's - I realized I needed to pick up more than the one item I had called to go by and pick up. They were so NICE - and someone was there to help me on the spot. The owner, Jacob, went above and beyond the call of duty to help me on several items. I am so impressed! Please shop LOCAL small business owners - it was so well worth my visit. The best is Hutch's Ace Hardware.

Large, well-stocked hardware store with neatly organized goods. Polite, knowledgeable staff. A friendly checker got another employee to find exactly the right item for me -- which cost under $2.00. That didn't stop him from measuring several items and taking time to be sure I got what I needed to fix my mother's favorite side table. Considerate and professional -- I look forward to returning for more help and supplies to repair the flood damage to Mom's house.

Went to Hutchs to get a keyfob to avoid paying dealership prices. From the moment I walked in until the time I left (which was after the store closed) the customer service was great! They were able to program the keys in my 2011 camry and were so patient.I would definitely refer them to everyone. Do not go to the dealership and pay those high fees. go to Hutchs and they will get you right and make you feel welcomed!

False advertising! Horrible experience, don’t order items online. They should basically not have an online store because it’s false advertisement . They had in store purchase (you had to come in the store)and they had online purchase options (Limit of 5, if you try to get more it drops it back to 5 at check out. I purchased 4 cans of Lysol online, same as I was able to purchase in store about a couple of weeks ago. Same as my friend purchased in store. Morgan said Jacob the manager told her they could only do one can per customer. If you have 1 per customer limit, the same person that put the limit to 5 online should put it to 1. This is no honor to your customers that frequent your business, that call others to say, Did you know Ace in Gonzales has the Lysol in stock? Advertise what your business offers correctly or do what any respectful business does honor the customers order.**The website is still allowing people to go on and purchase up to 5 by the way!

Hitch comes off a bit pompous and hadn't been real nice to me. I just want to get the personal stuff out of the way. The store is well equipped and the staff are both helpful and knowledgeable. I would rate the store high, maybe a 5. Hitch just embarrassed me and it was hurtful. If you need good hardware, Hutch's is the place.

Propane is way over priced compared to TSC and they just round up. I have two 7 gallon tanks that have never been more than 13.3 empty and they charged me 15 gallons.

Horrible online experience. How can you advertise you have Lysol then call the next day to say you are are only allowing 1 per customer? Why advertise a limit of 4? You had to have knowledge of your supply before you set up online ordering. The person who called stated that the owner decided to only allow 1 per customer because they had so many orders. Is it my fault that I purchased online before others (probably family and friends) did? Piss poor customer service and ownership. Refund my money and cancel my order.

Depends on who helps you here. Several workers act like they're doing you a favor by helping, or that you're inconveniencing them by asking for help. Gentleman acted like I was asking something unreasonable when I asked him if they had a different size. 10 minutes later, he was helping someone else as I still waited.
