I usually don’t have any problems here, until today. The manage walks up to the lady watching over self-checkout, instructs her to make sure everyone is scanning items at the bottom of their baskets. She walks straight over to me and my mini-basket, in my personal space and in between myself and the checkout screen. She tells me that she needs to make sure I scan the four boxes of crab legs at the bottom of my basket. I advise her that I am not finished scanning my items. She proceeds to give me a look and asks if she can scan them for me, of course I say no. I scanned everything else just fine without your help no let me finish. So she stays at the screen while I scan them and the Easter Cake and then says she has to put special stickers on them so “they” know I scanned them when I leave the store. REALLY?!?

Have made my last trip here. I just thought Walmart was bad. This is a thousand times worse. 4pm on a Thursday and 1 checker and the rest were the self checkout. The self checkers were so backed up it was unreal. I thought self checkout was supposed to be quicker, when you have buggies that are overflowing with items and you have someone who has never used a self checkout itwas a nightmare i wont be back

Be sure to check your receipt if you thought you were buying items that were a good deal. Kroger is now being deliberately deceptive with their displays. When I asked about it and told the manager that the display needed to be changed, he said he would.tell corporate but couldn't take it down. He was sorry that I was upset about spending $25 for 4 bags of chips. I returned the chips and went to Sams's and got two huge bags for $9.

Placed an order on November 27th. Shipping label was created on the 28th. Order still has not shipped on December 1st. Asked customer service for an estimate on when my order might actually ship. Was told "maybe Monday" I said I probably won't be ordering from them again if it takes a whole week to ship my items. Items that are in stock by the way. Customer service rep say "that's okay."

They have a really good inexpensive vodka here. Problem is that they keep ALL hard liquor locked up and you press a button to summon someone. I always have to stand there waiting for at least 5 minutes, sometimes more. As I have been here 2 people have given up and walked off. They are losing sales. I am patient though. They also have an excellent French Rose section.

The manager stated giving my 59 year old grandpa was getting talked to like a 4 year old and he has never used a credit card before and did not know what he was doing so she decides to start to talk to he like a dog

Trashy. End of story. No seriously, the employees look filthy, the store is dirty and cluttered. The security guard wears a doo-rag to work! Oh, and he performs manager over-rides on the registers because they are always backed up, and the are never more than 2 cashiers on duty at ANY time. Smells like a frito factory of a filthy Uber from Fresno, CA. Truly the worst Kroger I have ever walked into.

I like this store better than any others in our town since they remodeled and made it a signature store. You can use digital coupons (manf.) and store coupons sent to you through the mail along with the 5 for 5 sale and SAVE $$$$$ !!!!!!!! You save $1.00 on every item that you buy included in this program as well as the coupons you have added. I have saved as much as $100.00 before so its well worth the time it takes to do it!! Never pay full price for anything if you don’t have to!!!! It would be great however if they could update the Alexandria,LA store so that you can use digital payments with your phone wallet and not just Kroger Pay. There are PayPal incentives with Kroger corp. so let’s catch the stores up to the technology that you offer.Thanks

Not a single take and bake bread item had the instructions on how to actually bake the item. I asked several employees, and they didn’t know... Kroger brand (Private selection) crab meat had shell bits in every single bite.Edit: on my second time around, these geniuses put sale stickers over the cooking instructions on reduced items which removed the instructions trying to peel it off; they absolutely don’t want you to know how to cook their items.

Pressed the button on the liquor prison to get a bottle of malibu and stood there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to have to give up because no one came. And on my way out passed workers just hanging out talking instead of helping costumers.

Great selection of products. The "self-checkout" is a joke , though. I've been in here twice in 3 months because it was the closest option and have left empty handed between dealing with the self checkout and the slowest, rudest employees in Louisiana

There's a reason Kroger has always been popular here. Because it's better.Following visit: Kroger always seems to be stocked well unlike, for example, the Neighborhood Walmart I visited for the very first and LAST times.In the event that Kroger is out of a particular item, it has several others that are essentially equivalent that also run the gamut of the price range.Following visit: Kroger has friendly and helpful people/employees: another distinguishing feature of the business from others in its class. In fact, it has just dawned on me that it's no small miracle that it has employees who can check out your groceries quickly with other employees who can bag quickly and properly. I think it must have been about ten years between my CHOOSING to get checked out instead of going to self checkout. It would definitely have to be a significantly and thorough good experience for me to opt (ALLOW) for someone to check me out.Following visit: It should be apparent that a pattern is emerging here. Kroger (and I've alluded to this before) is always fully stocked; alternatively, at a minimum, part of Kroger's stock and inventory is so variegated that IF it happens to be sold out of one item, there are several other items that can be purchased as a substitute. These "substitute items" reflect Kroger's commitment to its customers that they will have something that adequately replaces the original item sought, but the "substitute items" significantly vary from lower to higher prices and, consequently, from lower to higher quality. You can always get something better there than the item you are used to and somewhat rely upon.

***************On a personal note, and i hope i don’t get her in trouble…I want to thank Ashley for a clove cigarette she gave me. It was her last, and it was during her work shift in the throes of the holidays, and that small gesture was easily the kindest thing that someone else had done for me here in Alexandria, during one of the worst weeks in my life.***************Excellent customer service; helpful and followed through on making sure I found what I needed.Also appreciate the fact that it’s open late (1am), during Covid with everyone else reducing their open hours.

could find what I wanted, quality or cut of steaks were terrible to me...I don't remember exactly why I left there without buying but I remember not being happy and wasting my time....Walmart for groceries is much better

I generally get some very good buys at Kroger, particularly on Kroger brand items. They have good sales on soft drinks and ribeye steak on occasion.

Had a good atmosphere to this store. Employees were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Everything well stacked and organized on isles from what I could see. No queue for the self checkout either. Was out very quickly too despite it being reasonably busy.
