Stopped here for a sudden lunch in town. Came here with a friend who has never been. Walking in, we were pleasantly greeted and placed our orders. He had the steak and cheese, I had the Cajun chicken (pictured), and they were both amazing!!!They have the Coke Freestyle machine, which is nice. And let's not forget the great atmosphere it has!1 final thing, this building is shared with a Great American Cookie/Marble Slab. Soooo, right when you have a nice meal here, just walk next door for something sweet, it is perfect!

Great place with GREAT SANDWICHES!WONDERFUL Guy at the register--so friendly!I had the turkey firehouse sub with olives and chili--both very great. This was my first time coming here, and I enjoyed it very much.

This was my first visit to this location and it was pretty disappointing. I called in my order at 6:37 pm and was told "10 minutes". I arrived at 6:50 pm, paid, got my drink and took a seat. One of the employees was walking around behind the counter eating, which is definitely not okay (I've worked in restaurants for 16 years. I know what goes on, but your customers shouldn't see it in the preparation area 🙄). About 12 minutes later, I realized that I was the only customer left in the building and the staff had all left the preparation line. Nobody ever called my name for my order or checked on me to see why they had a customer with nothing but a drink. I had to go find someone, and I mentioned I had been waiting about 25 minutes on a "10 minute" order, and I didn't even get an apology. My bag had just been sitting behind the counter to get cold. And to top it all off, one of the meatballs in my sub was burnt black and completely inedible! Who looked at that and thought that was okay?!

I visited your place. I was extremely up set. I pray for your workers. Seems to me the homeless in the area are are drawn to your business.If I were you all. I would make sure your employees are safe. Even if it ment a security officer. Being paid. It would definitely help your business. Prayers

Awesome sandwiches. I got the steak and cheese with mushrooms. So delicious. The bread is soft and crusty at the same time. Order was quickly made and I’ll go back again.

Only customer there at the time. Ordered turkey with everything. Was asked was there anything else-(no suggestion to make it a combo) I added a drink. I didn't know that all sandwiches were heated without asking what the customer would like. It was a mess eating it, and it fell apart, I did not enjoy it.I felt like I walked in after an argument. Everyone was quiet.Need to work on customer service.

So today I was at firehouse..everything was fine until this lady came and took over the register and took my order, she was very rude, she told me that if I wanted to order I would have to tip her. I'm utterly disappointed.. I always come here and never experienced this. She was very witty.. she was a blonde with obvious grown out roots lol. Be rude to me. I'm rude back.

Hands down the best sandwich shop in Alexandria! The Turkey Bacon Ranch is my recommendation. Meant to take a picture but the sandwich didnt make it 😂

Took my grandson there for lunch. Was my first time going. The service could have been better. The cashier greeted us with a frown and was busy telling a coworker that she knew how to run a register. It’s a good thing I didn’t get anything, because my grandsons lunch was almost twenty bucks. The food smelled good and looked good. The dining room is very small and was crowded.

Just left and loved it. Food is awesome the way the meat and cheese are steamed and the bread toasted was really good. Service was funny, engaging and very welcoming. The staff seem so happy. Then we walked next door for cookies and ice cream at the new Marble Slab. What a great visit. I only wish parking was a little easier.

Me and my girlfriend have only been to this location 4 times. The first time was great, no complaints. The second time the sandwiches were good, but they forgot our side pickles, not a big deal, everyone has bad days. The third time, sandwiches were still great, but again they forgot our sides. Well, we went there again today and once again, no sides, we had to ask for them and my girlfriend ordered the turkey bacon ranch sandwich and so did I. Her sandwich didn’t have ranch on it so it was very dry and mine was flavorless. I don’t know if it was just the sandwich I got or what. Room for improvement, but not terrible.

My husband and i just ate their for the 1st time. The decor is very fitting and gives you the appearance that you are in fact in a firehouse. We ordered their steak and cheese with mushrooms. Unlike other places you taste the meat and flavors more than the bread itself wven though the bread is good as well. The staff was very welcoming patient and quick to make sure we had a wonderful dining experience
