Often disorganized and cluttered with boxes and carts blocking off whole isles. Season changes here seem to create utter chaos for a while. Sometimes even has a weird smell. They’ve redone to add a self checkout and have improved a bit lately, hence 3 stars instead of 2.

Needs a change in management. Employees are somehow always on a smoke break (where they stand right next to the door so it backdrafts into the store). You will regularly stand at the register (whist the self-checkout is non-functional no less) and be yelled at to "hang on" from the back of the store whilst the employees continue to stock items that frankly can wait (I don't have an issue waiting, but eventually it reaches a point of absurdity when there's 4-5 people in line and we're all waiting for you).That said, I'm sure management is responsible for most of these issues, likely a combination of bad management and bad wages, but nonetheless frustrating.Make sure to drive your business to Fitch's IGA whenever possible. Wilmore would be better off if DG closed down completely and the eyesore was torn down.

Used to be a typical not so great experience, but after the remodel, the store has been in much better shape. It's really hit or miss on whether the staff will be helpful or friendly. They definitely need more people working through, as it always takes a while to get someone to the register to check out.

A recent renovation and reorganization has this location looking a LOT better. They now have much more cooler space, and seemingly more shelves, without it feeling more cramped. So, good on that.At the same time, selection at this location can be lacking sometimes, and the lines are frequently very long, like unnecessarily long. Only one person working the registers, or someone who is off stocking and not tending when a bunch of people are checking out. So don't automatically expect to get out quickly. Sometimes, as the name of the store implies, you just get what you pay for.

This store is always dirty, disorganized and disheveled. It might be the worst kept DG I have ever been to. Many DG's stores well maintained, this one is not. It appears to be very much understaffed. Employee attire is also drab. This appears to either be a local management issue, however, their regional managers should be aware and committed to making improvements.

The store is always dirty. You have to wade through trash and cigarette smoke to get in the door. The inside is just as bad. I don't think the floor has ever seen a mop or broom.. Stock is left sitting in boxes and crates all over the store, yet the shelves are often empty. Never enough workers in their to help. Lines get long with 1 worker checking everyone out. Workers never last and turn over is high. I don't think the Corporate office even cares about this store.

This store continues to be the dirtiest Dollar General I’ve ever been in. They never seem to sweep or mop the floors, almost every isle has stock in it . Went in today to pick up a few items but the sign on the door said they were closing at 3:30 pm but it was 2:45 pm and already locked up. Maybe it’s time for new management

The worst dollar general store I have ever been in as far as cleanliness and well stocked shelves. Even the candy bar boxes were empty on the shelf. Aisles were blocked with merchandise on the floor. Looked like it hadn't been straightened up for weeks. It is across from Asbury University and the students could use a good discount store to shop at!

Store is cluttered and a bit disorganized. Many items mis-shelved. Some items look to be better priced than other places until you check the weight and realize you are getting less/smaller product. Beware of out of date products.

Bonus star for remodel. I've lived less than a half-mile from this location for four years and I've been in there about a half-dozen times. Most visits were a bad experience. I've had helpful and friendly clerks check me out, but more often not so much. I'm leaving this review now because I got to stand at the register while the clerks talked about personal matters behind the counter at shift change. No words for me other than "$3.76". Otherwise, Wilmore DG is tolerable. I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for, but not without the sense of skimming through a rummage sale before the leftovers hit the curb. I'd gladly give another star if they would keep the place clean. I prefer IGA any day.

I live in the area and need to pick up a last minute item from time to time. I have been in a number of Dollar General stores all over the South. This one is a disaster. Items off shelves lying in the floor, barely any noticeable organization at all and IT’S ALWAYS this way. Not just after a busy day or a big crowd all at once....ALWAYS. On this particular visit with the REQUIRED MASK SIGN on the door one male employee who announced he was taking a break goes up and starts to chat up a couple where where the big, buff workout guy was not wearing one nor did he have one on his person. Not a dang thing was said. I’m sure he doesn’t get paid enough to be the mask police but at least address it. Sorry to say, I won’t be back.

Well I'm usually there 2-3 times a week and shop there most of the time.. it's just a small walk for almost anyone here in Wilmore.. It has wonderful employees who greet you soon as u walk in and will help you anyway needed

A little slow to get service at times, but it's probably my fault for usually coming in during lunch hour. Polite and helpful employees. Easy in and out shopping. A little disorganized however.

Why is there only one clerk in the store at 5 and 6 PM on weekdays when they are always busy at this time of day? I love dollar general. But some help at the register would be nice.

I live in wilmore and go here every day....they have never been able to keep help here....the girls that work there are really sweet and good to me....but its a chore to even find anything around the store because off uboats everywhere they need a good manager to come and train the one thats here and help them get the store together ....

I'd give it a 2-star for its lack of organization and the professionalism of most staff at this location; however, I'd give it a 3-star for the fact that it has most of the basic things that you would need at a decent price while still staying in Wilmore.

Often times I sit back and wonder, what is the greatest convenience store in Wilmore? Well, there are 2 options. IGA, and the infamous DG. You see, these two establishments are kind of like the classic Cliché of Southside and Westside. A Conflict we see in many 60's-70's films. You see, IGA is more like the Westside. It's cleaner, the people are more posh, and it's quite literally west in the small area of stores it is in. Then there is the DG, the tougher and rougher of the two as it has clothing options as well as convenient items. And as said films go, the rougher ones are usually the protagonists and are more likeable than the posh rivals. But even after this long, thought out Alegory, they are both still stunningly average, not very clean, and pretty over priced compared to Wal-Mart or Kroger. But, they are local and the only option for the lovely residents of Wilmore. So you're just going to have to bite the bullet and stay golden PonyBoy.

Dirty, messy, cluttered, much too warm in there on a hot day to even shop, long waiting lines and vanishing employees, who, when one is found or appears , seem to struggle in giving you correct change . Scanner seems to ring up prices totally different than labeled in the aisles . It’s a sad aggravating mess.
