Last time we visited we purchased about $15 of fish and supplies. When we attempted to pay with our card, we were told there was a “connection error” and that if the money was taken from our account it would be automatically returned within a few days. The lady at the register stated this was a known issue that had not been resolved yet and we were not made aware before we attempted to pay with card. We paid for our items with cash, effectively paying twice. Flash forward over a week, the money is gone from our account and has not been refunded. I called today and they said we could either drive over an hour and bring our entire bank statement and “see” if they could give us our money back, or dispute it with our bank. I will likely not be back or at the very least would only recommend paying in cash.

Do not short at this garbage shack. I bought an axolotl from here back in August and these fools had no clue about anything regarding their care. They shouldn’t sell these animals they don’t know how to care for themselves. Right after I bought my little dude I went online to do the most basic of research to find A. Tanks need to be cycled for months before you can keep an axolotl. And B. The food they feed them, and told me to feed them have NO nutritional value, and it’s the equivalent of feeding them candy. And C. They need cold water, not “room temperature”. I went back in because I was in desperate need of a plant and he acted surprised that mine was still alive due to how often they get calls complaining about them dying. He spoke to me as if everyone else was stupid and me and him were intellectuals. I’m reality he was the stupid one and I was the smart one, because I didn’t listen to a word he said and did proper research, unlike him. Do onto shop here.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THEIR ANIMALS. THEY ARE VERY SICK AND WILL SELL THEM TO YOU AS IS. A friend bought two parakeets and both passed away within a week. She saw someone else’s review and video of the parakeets in their store and the birds were STARVED. Very little to no food or water in the cages. AND THERE WAS A DEAD PARAKEET IN THE CAGE with the rest! Owner was called to be informed of this neglect and cruelty but didn’t care!! Shows the type of people they are and the kind of sorry store they run. THEY DON’T DESERVE ANY BUSINESS, SHUT THEM DOWN. AND STAY AWAY.

My fiancé and I purchased a rabbit here today and they were so good to us! The girls there gave us great advice and offered so much help. Thank you guys so much ❤️ We love our new fur baby.

Didn't want to give one star. Bought my mother in law a baby guinea pig from here in March. She was sick forever.. come to find out, this baby that was no bigger than my palm was PREGNANT. She had two babies that were dead and twice the size of her. Woke up this morning and the guinea pig was dead. When I called I was told they would do nothing for us. I've been calling since mid April which wasn't even 30 days yet and finally got ahold of someone just to be told we're SOL. They said they separate them... however they need to be more careful . Not to mention they have the guinea pigs in the floor... Not very clean for a store that sales pets

Great place to buy a pet. Not only do they answer any questions you might have but they also tell you about everything that it will need as it grows and as a baby or if the pet should have babies. They also don't worry about losing a sale because they care about the animals more, which made me really like this store. For example, my daughter was going to buy a tiny baby turtle and the sales woman explained how big that type of turtle would get and let us know before hand that it would get way too big for us to take care of.

HeThis little pet store was so nice. The free range turtle just wonders up to me not long after I entered the door. Their tanking bird is also pretty neat. The fish tanks looked a bit in need of care, but not u healthy and the fish seemed healthy, there weren't many dead fish in the tanks at all. Also there wasn't a very strong odor that sometime exists in small pet shops like this, which is a good thing. The woman who spoke with me was very nice and helpful.

My son has been buying pets from this pet store for years. yesterday we went to buy some Fish and well the prices on the tanks for what fish we chose didn't matter she kept pricing them more claiming they had went up in price. Well they priced us on some and them when were ready to check out they were 10 to 15 dollars more.The woman that runs the place constantly does this to my Son! He's not going back she just pretty much what she wants. Again She's done this many times just watch out.Other then that the store is clean, the animals are healthy I hate that I won't be back there that Is all?'

I grew up in letcher county and almost every pet I have had came from this place. They are great people and family people just like us all, they are all nice and carrying and the women know their animal's very well...However, they take very outstanding care when it comes to their animal's my family has been doing business with the my whole life...And now I am getting my son some tropical fish from there. Just like I did when I was young. And my folks took me to pick me out some 🐟. So if you are reading my review Right now then know this no matter what type of pet u looking for they have it or can get it. If you want your pet to be healthy then go here..

This pet store is great I have bought so many pets off of the owner and that were all healthy and friendly I bought a hamster and it healthy and happy they always have the supplies I need and the owner’s are so nice the best pet store ever you should definitely consider buying here.

These people are real nice ! Do what ever they can to help you out she gave me a little bit of rat food to last me for a couple of days so I can buy some for my rat this makes my 2nd time being there I just picked up a baby rat she's in good health and the cutest rat iv ever seen shes blonde and white she loves being held and let's everyone pet her I'm very happy with my pet and will be going back in a couple of days

Very very bad. Haven't bought from there but I can tell they don't take good care of their pets. Their ball pythons have no hides (or only one if they do) no cover, and no temperature/humidity gauges. I bet money they don't even know what temperature to keep them at. Their bearded dragons are cohabiting which is very bad for all the animals involved. Beardies are cannibals and will kill each other. Awful conditions for their reptiles. The mammals look pretty ok aside from overcrowding. Do not recommend.

Wanna see a puppy mill up close? Or overstocked birds with dead birds in cages? What about 20+ hamsters in a 10x 10 tank? Maybe even the cockatoo who screams because he’s locked in his cage 24/7? What about the Guinea pigs who are eating eachother? Get the word out about this store. It’s disgusting on the inside and a puppy mill over priced pet store. Called and spoke to an employee who screamed and told me to call the owner, got the owners number, and it’s the other worker beside her and they scream and hung up on me, call them and find out about there dead animals for yourself to hear the rudeness…

We enjoy visiting all the animals here and petting on some of them with supervision. This is our local Whitesburg pet shop that has served the community for a number of years. They have rabbits, Guinea pigs, birds, dogs, lizards, hamsters, fish, and more.

They always have e,axtlywhat we are looking for. We bought a dwarf russian hamster from them and it died not the way home. Without question or hesitation, they gave us another one. We now have 3 and they are healthy and thriving!

We purchased 3 fish and before we can drive 20 minutes back to the house 2 were dead. contacted the manager and all she could say was there is nothing I can do sorry about your luck with the fish. this is the first and last time I will go to this store. The manager was one of the rudest people I have talked to in my life and I have worked in customer service and that is bad.
