Would not recommend, dropped off our dog for a grooming appointment at 9AM and it was nearly 8PM before we were able to pick him up. Maybe it’s just me but when you close your doors at 5 and you have to call the owners to see if they’ll just board the dog for the night because you’ve not done your job or booked appointments properly I’d be rethinking the way I do business. I know big dogs can be hard to deal with but that the price of owning a dog care facility, especially when they wanna complain that your dog is anxious and is hard to deal with, I think I would be too if I was locked in a relatively small cage for 10 hours. They do good work but I don’t believe the doges get very good treatment, we’ve used them before to board our dog for a few days while we where out of town and everytime our dog comes back from there he’s very anxious and skiddish. I’ve spent some time going through the comments and It really seems like this is a common occurrence, they seem to have a lot of decent/good reviews so idk maybe it’s just a fluke but beware.

The groomers of Happy Hounds are experienced and try very hard to fill the wishes of their clients as well as to take excellant care of the doge entrusted to their care. I am very thankful to them for the care they give Luna while she is in their care.They listen when I have a request concerning her care. She has never been to any other groomer.

I have used this place, for years. Taking three dogs with different temperaments and they've always been able to help. I've known and sent others with dogs that people couldn't deal with and they've all been able to get along and deal with Leslie she's the proprietor of happy hounds grooming and pet spa. Our dogs always look beautiful. The staff are so friendly and seem to love their job. Our dogs don't mind going so they must be treated well. We drive out of our town to use them because they are consistently the best groomers we had.

On December 5, 2023 I took Samson in to get his nails clipped and just found out 2 days ago, Samsonsdays ago, Samsons nails were not clipped! We paid 8.00 for his nails to be clipped. Here are some pictures!

I've used Happy Hounds for years. I have taken two dogs there over the years, a tempermental Cocker Spaniel and now a high strung Yorkie. Leslie has always treated my fur babies with the utmost love and care. I wouldn't consider using anybody else, and my Yorkie just loves her. The grooming is always great, they look wonderful after an appointment with Leslie. I would highly recommend this groomer, she's the best in the area.

This place is horrible made a appointment for 10am got there early they kept my cat locked up for over 3 hours didn't finish the job, they ripped one of my cats claws out then charged me extra. This place ensured me they had experience grooming cats they obviously dont.

Dropped my dogs off around 8am, was told to come back around 3pm for pick up. Arrived at exactly 3pm and was told that they were not finished with our dogs, to wait in the lobby area. After watching in the mirror I noticed I could see one of my dogs in the reflection from the other room- so I began watching. I saw the groomer (who I later found out was the owner) push my dogs head to the side rougher than called for, as my dog was standing still and not resisting. After finishing him and bringing him out to me, I noticed my female dog was now on the grooming table. Again, the owner was being exceptionally rough with her. They finished my dogs and we left. Their haircuts looked GREAT. However I wasn’t pleased with what I saw. On our way home my female dog who occasionally is nervous, but has never had symptoms related to her nerves, began having diarrhea and vomiting. Once we made it home she then began having bloody stools. I called the groomer who accounted this to my dogs nerves. She has been groomed several times and has never reacted this way. Upon sharing my experience with others in the area several stories were told about other dogs being treated roughly, or not coming home with their same spunky personality. Very uncomfortable with the way our dogs were handled.

Happy hounds more then out done them their selves with my dog Sophie when I dropped her her coat was all yellow looking from sleeping.on straw all winter and it was stiff when I picked her up she was a snow white plus her she was was a big puff ball I love you happy hounds
