It seems poorly lit in places. I have noticed twice, when a shelf is empty for restocking it is dirty and was not cleaned before restocking. I can typically find what I need, the meat department is nice and helpful.The lines, my goodness the lines. It's like they have no idea what times they are going to have a surge. I've never seen more than two actual check out lines open. Self check out sure, even those have a line. But if you have a full basket. The self checkout does not have enough room for all of items in the bagging area. The cashier's they do have, awesome and friendly. They just never have enough.

I love our Kroger! I have shopped here for 25 yrs. Friendly people, also. The staff is very helpful. Produce, meats and grocery workers are all nice. BUT, Get more cashiers back. The lines have been getting long at the self ck out. 👏👍

Update 1/5/2024When you have two carts worth of groceries, there is no cashiers and only one attendant who’s busy helping another customer while you wait cause the “employee assistance” stops you for the fifth time from trying to check out and the guy next you is also having to wait cause check out machines suck. Don’t blame the employee. I blame management and corporate for lack of employees and no cashiersI was looking to do a simple birthday cake this year where I would just buy a store-bought sheet cake and add toppers to it. I first tried Walmart and nobody answered the phones there, so then I tried Kroger. Somebody answered from Deli and took a message but nobody called me back so I called again during class a couple days later. The woman I spoke with was less than pleasant. I had first ask if the store had anything Fortnite related as far as birthday cakes. She said no and I was fine with that but when I asked if she could Google some thing, she immediately cut me off to say no that’s copyright infringement, we can’t do that. I persisted to say that I didn’t want some thing exactly done on Google, just for her to see the color scheme so she could do a smear cake where basically she would put patches of color onto a sheet cake and smear it for a clean marbled colorful effect, then write happy birthday on it, that was all . She still said no they could not do that. At this point I was no longer interested in using her to make a cake for us and thanked her for her time and ended the call. After class I wondered if maybe Kroger doesn’t do special birthday theme cake related items only basic sheet cakes and I went in search online and found that they do in fact do special order birthday cakes. It shows me that whoever’s working bakery has no interest at all at doing anything but the bare minimum of her job if she’s doing it at all. (I worked bakery for Safeway which is the west coast version of Kroger so I knew to an extent what cakes could be done)

I always have a good experience with me shopping here. The employees are very welcoming to the store as they are in helping you find whatever you are looking for.

I'm not sure the elderly and disabled are welcome here.Mgmt has made the decision to keep the shopping carts in a spot that's inconvenient for the elderly and disabled instead of in the designated area where they are easily-accessible and can be kept warm and dry.And today I watched an employee relocate a cart return stall (see attached pic) to block an actual handicap parking spot. I think this store only has 4 in the first place.

Kroger has really gone downhill. I will drive to Brannon Crossing Kroger before I go to the Main St location. I have got home with my groceries and had several things that past their due dates! I should have checked on the shelf but I didn't think that it was legal to sell expired food. I don't want to have to constantly check for expiration dates or mold or weird bugs (yes, bugs). Really disappointing.

Got gas this morning and I paid with a 100 dollar bill and Lois through a little fit huffing and puffing ,slamming the register and saying there you go. Looks like she would realize large bills are money too . Done with this place !! Wish I could give negative 5 stars I only shop where respect is given

Kroger is my favorite grocery. They take pride in their work and produce. Always good. State of the art self checkouts are the only ones in the state that signal when you've removed all groceries after checking out.

Never has most brands of soda stocked at any given time. 50 50 if carts will be in the building or all in lot. Line for u scan reaching the other side of store doesn't bother to open a lane.

I went to pick my sons birthday cake up and literally waited for over an hour before I could finally get someone to help me. And then, when I finally go to leave the store, my daughter is pushing the buggy and they locked the buggy up, came running and literally acted like we were stealing l. If you were doing your job I already ask for a manager before the buggy thing even happened. I usually don’t leave reviews but this was absolutely crazy. Do better.

What happened to this Krogers? Absolutely the worst produce in all of central Kentucky. Sav-a-Lot has better grapes and apples. The avocados are either soft as can be or hard enough to hammer nails. Strawberries are pathetically tasteless. I like getting the packaged salads and they go bad 3 days before the best by date. That's because they are not being kept at optimal temps. Never buy "fresh" fish here. And when was the last time the bagger asked if you needed help getting to your car? I usually have to bag my own groceries because there's no bagger period. I go to Aldi's or Fresh Market for my produce now.

Bought a cart full of items and noticed the Pepsi 2 liters didn't ring up the Dale price. Asked rep to check it out he told me there was a coupon on my account for .65 off 2 and that was trumping the in store promo of 1.50 off each one. I said surely not can you double check and the manager came over and looked at my app to confirm and said I received a "good customer " offer for .65 off and it doesn't let you remove it and it negates the sale price. He stated it is kroger policy to give the coupon that offers the least amount off. In other words kroger offers a price in ads but in a very scummy business practice ads things to your account to disqualify you and you don't notice until you get your receipt. Awful service and very shady business practice. My jaw dropped when the manager confirmed this nonsense. Publix will be in the area soon take your business there.

They just don't have the selection of products they use to before Covid. I went there for coffee creamer and cat food a few days ago and left empty handed. I thought maybe I wasn't coming early enough. I returned at opening the next day, still no luck. Just suddenly stopped carrying the products I buy regularly. I have no choice but to buy online. They are steadily losing my business to Amazon. I haven't had a good cup of coffee in over 2 months.

I love this big-little grocery store. A very wide selection of fruit and bakery, meat prices are decent even if the variety isn't as wide as I like, and the whole place is just easy to get in and out of. I always feel that things are neat and orderly. And it's so much nicer than going into these mega stores. They have more selection but higher prices and you end up staying there too long. Mostly I just want to get in and out.The single star removal is for lack of efficiency at the customer help station up front. I've had trouble twice trying to get help there that knew what was going on.

This review is for the pharmacy at Nicholasville Kroger on S Main St. I don't know whether to call it a train wreck or a dumpster fire. The biggest problem seems to be getting the employees to show up to work. Today the whole place was being operated by 2 workers. The drive up window was shuttered and the indoor counter was severely backed up. I don't know if the attendance policy is so lax that people feel that not showing up is ok or if Kroger needs to aggressively recruit more employees. I can't fix the Kroger pharmacy, so I need to get my meds elsewhere. Mail order is looking pretty good, right now.

I just had a great experience with Becca in the bakery! She printed some edible images for a cake that I’m making and went above and beyond to make sure I got the size and image that I needed. Her patience and helpfulness is greatly appreciated!!

This store has become so ridiculous!! Always only 1 cashier open & lines going down the isles with loads of people waiting to check out & while standing 30-40 minutes or longer just to get checked out!! If you go up there & theres 30-40 minutes until closing you’re lucky to even get in there, there is always someone there already locking the doors & they will say over & over to you that you need to be quick we’re fixing to close. Never a manger to be found & if you get lucky and find one they’re not friendly & the pharmacy is just as bad!! They don’t even have the self service stations open either to let you check your own self out which is ridiculous too! The shelves are always empty but you can go to other Krogers and they’re fully stocked so no excuse for any of this! We’ve taken our business to another store! Krogers on South Main Street in Nicholasville Ky. don’t waste your time going because you’ll be there forever or won’t find anything stocked!! This isn’t just a one time complaint this has been going on since Covid hit and only keeps getting worse!!

A nice store with friendly staff. I did some grocery shopping while visiting the area and they have a self-scan to your cart program. I chose not to do that but it looked neat. Everything on my shopping list was in stock, just not in the brands I usually buy. Rated 4 stars because it was quite busy (10+ people in line) and there were only 2 checkout lanes open.

Workers are friendly and usually helpful, but more often than not when I go in half the stuff I came in for is not stocked. I don't know if it's a staffing problem or someone needs to revise their product ordering, but it's caused me to just go elsewhere to shop. If I have to go somewhere else to get what they don't have, I just don't bother stopping there in the first place anymore.

Large, well-stocked, CLEAN, and easily navigated. I liked the self checkout and was glad there was an attendant there when I needed help. There is a wine /liquor store attached to the grocery store, which also sells beer. Produce, meat, deli, and bakery all were very neat and clean with a great variety and fresh items.

The deli has good selections of lunch meat n some prepared salads , but most of the service sucks.and when I worked there they had roaches in the deli. I have taken pictures and also let management know and they seemed unconcerned. But as far as the meats in the meat department , I shop there just for the meats , krogers has good meats , I don't shop anywhere else for meats like steaks , chickens , pork , so on .

I just moved to Nicholasville and went to your Kroger store @995 S. main street. Your employees seems very friendly especially the meat department. You have some really good guys working back there. I did notice that the isles were not stocked very well though. Maybe it was because i was there in the evening hours. I do appreciate that you are close to where i live. Have a great day.
