This is hardware store on steroids, offering a huge array of products for home, Farm and other applications. Friendly staff, and an easy to navigate store. This is your alternative to Ace Hardware or Walmart, in very close proximity to its location. Check it out for yourself and see what you think!

The people here are rude and they waste your time. They sold me a part incomplete and refused to return my funds for that reason. The old man clearly doesn't like the way I look and decided to refuse the return immediately. Don't do business here if you expect to be dealt with reasonably.

Charged 60.00 delivery fee to deliver a washing machine to my mother. Didn't even have to hook it up or remove the old one. She only wanted them to leave it on her porch. I think that's ridiculous!!

Dude name Randy that works there is a straight jack. Works over the uHaul department. Bald with glasses. RUDE as all can be and tried to say I didn’t have a license lol. Had to make an additional trip to a family members house to make them sign and use his license. Overall bad experience not recommending going here

This store has a large selection of hardware and accessories for your typical projects and also ships packages through UPS. The staff is very friendly and helpful but I often find myself waiting for other customers to gain access to an employee to ring me up. Still, a positive experience.

I called about an issue with a hot water heater. I've installed several hot water heaters in my lifetime. Not much to it. Turn the power off, connect the electric, connect the water, fill it up, bleed the air out of the lines, turn the power back on. When I first installed it, it worked fine for 3-4 days then stopped. I had to do some traveling, so I just dealt with cold showers until I had time to look at it. When I called I was initially told, it must be a problem with my electric, however the previous hot water heater worked fine. Matter of fact it was still working fine for 32 years. It'd been in the home working so long and so well that it finally rusted and needed replacing. So, I bought a new one from these people at Jim Browns. Feeling pretty good about supporting a local business, I was happy to pay a little extra for the customer service and to support to the community rather than going to a big box store for my purchase. I'll just pay taxes to support the community in the future as the customer service I received was garbage. I called before my 30 days were up to see if I could just return/exchange the hot water heater. I was told to call a plumber. What terrible customer service. You lost a customer. I had a brand new water heater that had a bad heating element. It's literally $15 to replace it yourself. My guidance was hire an electrician, hire a plumber. Service calls for both would've been upwards of $50 at least just for the call out. Doesn't include labor etc. Bad advice. Awful customer experience. Good luck keeping your doors open. And good luck getting an electrician or plumber to show up within the next 6 weeks. I'll drive an hour to the box store next time.

Without a major building store we are lucky to have these local guys. Decent product selection and personable. Just slow at checkout and slow to greet and acknowledge.

Nice clean store filled full of merchandise. Service wasn't great as clerk was very UNknowledgeble about the merchandise. I thought they were a little high so I went across the bypass to 84 lumber and they were $50 cheaper on a plain metal door. I was right.

Horrible customer service and the cashier "Wayne" is very very rude along with an older man who is new there. He was a real jerk too.. sent me around the store twice looking for something they didn't even carry. Ended up going to Hickman's and receiving great fosterer care and more affordable prices... Also they tried to sell me 1/4 inch lewon and said it was 3/8 plywood

Poor customer service / experience. No one ever greets you with a smile, hello, or even a "can I help you". After I gave up on finding it myself I asked someone who looked at me very discussed and pointed in a direction over there somewhere. I knew Jim Brown and he is rolling over in his grave at what his store has become. I am glad he isn't here to witness them drag his name down. I am sure with the new Ace Hardware in town where they greet you with a smile and are helpful; that the name sake store Jim built won't be around long. it's really sad for me to witness and worse to experience this stores decline.

Very rude men behind the counter. I walked to check out and they (four of them) just stood talking to each and removed their mask while doing so. I was very patient. Waited about 10 minutes and finally asked if someone could check me out. I've only been in the place maybe 4 times but the same every time.

We got a hot water heater from here. It has been failing since install. They told us to call a plumber and the manufacture to fix the brand new (less than 30 days old) hot water heater. The manufacture doesn't have a repair service that comes as far as our home. Basically we have been advised to hire someone at our own expense to come repair the brand new hot water heater. They will not take the return. How disappointing to buy from a local business and a brand named US Craftmaster Water Heaters ( out of Johnson City) only to be left boiling water in a kettle to do dishes and cold showers.

When ever I need something that seems hard to find for around the house inside or out I always check there first. Most of the time they give me good service and like all other places I spend my money at when it stops I'll stop shopping there. I've found hard to get stove parts there as well as even Echo parts. All in all it's a decent place to find what you need and what you didn't know you needed

Was given a wrong piece of material and when I went to get it exchanged for the proper piece I was told that they had not sold the one in my possession. And they were right they didn't they gave me the wrong one and would not make it right. I spend a lot of money with them. But won't be doing any more business with them now.

If you need parts or pieces for around the house DIY home repair, go here. They also make keys which is convenient. If you're replacing any shower or faucet fixtures, head elsewhere. Not much of a selection in that area.

The products we rented were awesome it hauled a car for us,but when we returned it the employees took so long to unhook the hauler and didn't want to print a receipt just the system was slow ,they could improve customer service

They promptly helped me with my renting a uhaul I use a bank card and they only charged me $25 it was the smallest one you can drive. It got the job done.
