Employees were very helpful and I didn't even realize they had a mini Post Office in the back of the store! Their prices are really reasonable and comparable(just a teensy bit higher) to other stores in the area. I would highly recommend this Hardware!

My shower valve and diverter stems were leaking and I could not find out the company who made them. I went to Phelps Hardware in PRP and Don was able to use a tool and match the exact parts I needed to finish the repair. Tim gave me additional information to have the project completed correctly and make my work easier. They also have some other products that no other place has.

I love this store. This is were I go if I forgot something for a project. You are always greeted at the door and asked if you need help finding something! That's almost unheard of nowadays. Keep in mind that their prices are higher than Lowes and their selection is smaller...but if you are not sure what you need or just want to pickup some odds and ends and be in and out quickly this is your store.

Glad they are still there. Small almost mom and pop feel but in 2021 that's not a bad thing if you call ahead and they have what you need don't waste your time going anywhere else. Great for quick trips and the fact that there's a postal delivery inside makes it even better! I sell on ebay time to time and the post office closes before I'm going into work or getting off so this place accepting packages up til 6 I want to say has really been a life saver!

Been doing a Huge remodel and everytime we go in for anything, the young guy acts like he doesn't understand English and the older guy acts like he is being inconvenienced. IF he even assist you. Prices we accept to keep the smaller stores open but the manners lost them a consistent customer.

This is a great local hardware store AND post office. It's nice to be able to get in, find what you want and get out quickly. Always get great service when I need help finding things. And the post office is a nice convenience. I recommend Phelps to anyone trying to avoid the big box stores.

I have been a patron of this business since they opened, trying to support my local business community. Today I spent $60 dollars on plumbing supplies there to install a faucet. After I finished my repair at home, I tried to return a pipe cutter (never used, never opened), sealed in its blister pack and was abruptly told no, then shown on the receipt - in a very direct and cold manner - in small print (no tool returns). So, if you buy a tool here, make sure you NEED it, there are zero returns and zero tolerance for long-time customers who were unaware - one exception would not have hurt -- I mean I thought local businesses were supposed to have a heart... Next time, for tools, go up to the local big box store.

Mike's place!! I've known him for years and he's got a great business. The workers in here are great, always wanting to help you as soon as you enter the door. He couldn't ask for better employees! I use to do business with him at his first store on old 3rd street. That's when I first met him and the good guys over there. Funny how time passes and you end up back with the same company not the same employees, but the same owner that you always loved doing business with. I'm sure he'll appreciate this, not knowing who I am and I'm sure he'll be curious. Lol Hi Mike!! Just be happy you have a great business!!

Fast customer service, convenient parking, friendly staff, ok selection for local hardware.Inexperienced staff, cannot rely their advice.I would rather support a small place like this vs Home Depot or Lowes, however Lowes has some experienced workers and I get much better plumbing and other advice.

Great Mom and Pop store. Super friendly and helpful. they might be a little higher then the big box stores, but you don't have to wonder around looking for help if you need it and you can be in & out a lot faster.

What a great locally owned hardware store. You receive personalized attention the moment you walk in the door, unlike at Lowe's and Home Depot. They are very knowledgeable and will actually walk you to what you need, real customer service at a hardware store, which is a dying breed, but not at Phelps. They know how to put the customer first.

Mr. Phelps and Mrs. Phelps are always helpful down to the smallest details. Excellent quality products and beyond great service. By local and support you local businesses. I will continue to frequent their locations to the exclusion of the big box stores. If for some reason they don't have what you want or need, it can typically be ordered. Keep up the excellent service and work.

Got to the store at 6:55, 5 minutes before close, doors were locked. Just needed a sawzall blade. I've tried to give this place all my business to help support the smaller guys even though they're a little higher in price than the bigger box stores, not anymore. If you're gonna lock the doors at 6:55 then change your hours instead of wasting people's time. I work 6:30 to 5 during the week so I understand being tired and wanting to go home, but I'm also in the customer service business and I understand I can't always leave AT 5:00 if my customers need me for a few minutes past then. I understand my $5 or $10 a month won't effect you're bottom line, just wanted to share my experience. No hard feelings, wish you guys well.

The people in Phelps hardware as usual but they are very courteousand it work right away they said they'd make it over if it didn't and I can go in there because they have a post office in the back of the store and that is Handy for me and I was very pleased that I was able to get in there didn't have to stand in line for long periods of time

I love this little hardware store! It has actually become the only place I use for a USPS store. Always friendly and always helpful!
