I was so apprehensive about changing vets because my pup is a giant baby and a handful at the vet but now I wish I changed sooner. That was the most calm vet experience for both of us ever. The vet tech was phenomenal, patient and really understood the soft cues dogs give when they’re uncomfortable and rather than forcing more she was so patient. The vet was equally as patient and understanding with my dog. I really appreciated the care and time they spent with us to make our visit calming, safe, and enjoyable. I no longer feel stressed prior to our vet visits because these guys take such good care of the animals.

I bring both my fur babies here for all their needs, and always I have a great experience. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable and the doctors are calm and not rushed to get you in and out, and really listen to your concerns.Our recent addition to our family is a bit mouthy and doesn't like his feet messed with and terrified of the vet. When I scheduled his appointment to get vaccinated and have an exam I was so nervous! I was afraid of how he would react to what can be a stressful and scary situation. I should have never worried. They scheduled me for an anti-fear exam, which is slightly more than a regular exam, and they went very slow with him. He was given treats, belly rubs, baby talked, they respected his dislike for his feet being touched and avoided it, and not only was he tail wagging and showing off like I'd never seen before the end of his exam, but he was also able to get all his vaccines without any ruckus or fear through smart handling and their anti-fear training. I was so impressed!! They have done my older babies dental and all of her exams, and I have to say, I would drive an hour out of my way to continue going to this clinic. The staff, the doctors, the care, it's all worth it.

Very thankful for the care they showed my sick pup. They were so kind and thoughtful. Every staff member made sure to thoroughly communicate all along the way, which is so important when you’re stressed about your sick fur child. The vet tech, Karen, was especially great & treated our girl so well. We will definitely be back.

We are transitioning to Louisville and I needed to get a influenza shot for my dog to stay at a local kennel. They were closed on Friday and I entered the information online to get an appointment the next week. I received an email Saturday morning saying he would need a new patient appointment and could call and pay the fee up front and schedule the appointment which was ok. I called to schedule and pay the fee and they told me that it would be two to three weeks before they could see me. Unfortunately I could not wait two to three weeks to get the flu shot so I could board him. I really felt like they just did not care.

I'll be honest.. you're going to pay a little bit more than another vet. However the level of care you receive is exponentially higher than any other provider in town. If I as a human could go here for my medical needs I would. They spend so much more time with you than a regular medical practitioner for humans. Your animal will receive the absolute best care possible. If you love your animals and you think they're worth the extra money then bring them here! Like I said if I was an animal I would want to go here.

I really love this vet for my pets. They listen to my concerns and offer a variety of suggestions for treatment options. They offer curbside, or you can go inside with your pets. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I often have to plan several hours for the appointments as they run behind on the day I am able to go.

We have been taking our minpin. Here since she was 6 weeks old. Now she is 10 !/2 now. She has diabetes. Took her there for a glucose curve check. Was charged for hospitalization,46.50. Then 70.00 for the glucose exam. 86.00 to read the test. A senior blood panel 170.00 and heartworm test. and 25.00 for a nail trim. When she started going there nail trim was 8.00. and if she was there for something they would do a complimentary nail trim. The total cost was 618.00. I was stunned with that total. Because my dog has diabetes I do not want to change vets. But I wish they would take loyal customers into consideration when pricin.

I brought my cat in for chronic intermittent vomiting, a frustrating and vague symptom of numerous cat health conditions. The vet staff here and especially Dr. Corbett felt like the first providers we've visited who treated the health issue as worth fully investigating. Dr. Corbett walked me through the possible diagnoses and testing options and gave me the necessary information to make an informed decision about how to move forward, and a few months on, it seems like we may have finally figured out what's going on. The clinic is a little pricey, but the expenditure felt worthwhile given the careful attention we got. The staff as a whole have always been warm and responsive over phone and email. You get the sense that they really care about your pet's health and are willing to go above and beyond to help. Thanks so much, Jefferson Animal Hospital Fern Creek!Edit August 2022: I recently relocated a fair distance away but JAHFC staff have continued to provide prompt and helpful responses to my emails and phone calls. I'm so grateful for the care they continue to show even though we're no longer active clients. Seriously can't recommend these folks enough.

They are always great with our big boy. Today was a nail trim. Our boy does not like his nails trimmed but Hannah was great with him. Very kind and gentle with our boy even when he resisted wanting to go in without Mom...They are also our regular veterinarian. They are great. Never met a doctor or assistant up there that we didnt like. Everyone is fabulous. Quick service. Very thorough. The doctors always keep our price point in mind and give us all options. I feel the prices are comparable for the services. Our big boy loves the liver treats they offer when they need to sweet talk him into a temperature check 🤣 or an annual shot.

Very bad experience today, you can wait hours for them, but they can’t wait 2 minutes for you. My fur baby wasn’t able to be seen, more concerned with going home early. The assistant that sits at the second computer, was very rude and disrespectful.

Very professional service. They have always taken very good care of our Australian shepherd. Unfortunately, with great care also comes higher prices than some vet clinics; however, the peace of mind has been worth it in my experience. The vets and assistants are all very helpful and informative, and show that they care about your animal.

I went with my dad to take his 2 dogs here for shots and I had to leave a review. Jinnie is THE BEST vet nurse! I've never been to a vet office that took so much effort to make your nervous pet feel comfortable. She is so friendly and personable too. She really goes above and beyond. Dr. Corbett was amazing as well. I highly recommend them!

Very caring. very clean and attractive offices, never smell any hint of animal in there, all the staff and doctors are so helpful and knowledgeable. The doctors follow up with phone calls at home to check on our dog when she wasn't well. Prices are appropriate for the level of care and the quality of the facility and the doctors. I was grateful that I was able to take my cat here on a Saturday when my regular vet was closed. We were given very caring attention. My only reason for giving 4 stars is that I feel I was somewhat pressured to purchase more medicine than necessary. Overall my sweet old fella was given good care

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the Fern Creek Jefferson Animal Hospital. They took great care of my cat, and also helped me to sort through a very difficult and stressful international move from the US to the UK. They were with me every step of the way as I had to reschedule appointments, get the proper health certificates, and make sure my cat was ready for an international flight. My only regret is that I now have to find a new vet in the UK, and they've set my expectations so high, I'm not sure anyone else can compare!

We have been taking our older dog there for 10 years. We got a new puppy we were taking there as well. The puppy has a UTI and in a lot of discomfort. We called during business hours and they said they could get to us tomorrow. What? A 4 month old puppy in pain and you think it can wait. Why do we spend years building a relationship if in our dogs time of need they just turn their back. They proved they are really about us as a paying customer versus caring about our dogs. We will never go back.

They are very caring and thorough. My Angel boy (kitty) was having seizures and we took his there, they weren't able to find out what was wrong. They kept him overnight. It was very expensive , but that part wasn't important ... they did the best they could and and kept him comfortable until I could get there and kiss him goodbye.

Dr. Corbett and staff were so thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable and compassionate during our visit this week. Despite the terrible circumstances of our visit, the staff did everything possible to make the transition easier. I gave them 4 stars because they are a little pricey. The veterinarian's and staff are great. Jinni a vet's assistant goes above and beyond by making sure you understand EVERYTHING you need to do. And explaining what each meds does what. Me and my fur baby absolutely love this place.

Earlier this week I had to have my 16+ yr old dog put to sleep. I cannot express enough the patience, compassion, & love all workers at this company expressed for a dog they have never cared for before that day. I even got a card with her paw prints, flower seeds, & an AMAZINGLY PERFECT poem. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
