I was in a very traumatic and hurtful situation. I had to let go of one of my kids (dog) and the staff was so understanding compassionate thoughtful and respectful. I do not know her name but the beautiful lady in the front office was absolutely incredible she went above and beyond her job description to ease my mind and give me hope. Thank you to everyone involved.

I had to go get a stray back that showed up at our place... I felt bad that I had an acquaintance take him there. So "Trigger" is back home and happy and cantankerous as ever!

They are fixing the place up and it's looking good. The dogs were all well cared for and had fresh water. The staff was helpful and kind. It's a hard job and for one couldn't do what they do and keep up spirits. While we did not find a dog, I will come back

I wanted a dog there and the workers was rude would not let me prepayment on a dog and said that the vets was closed but the thing is that we played with the dog and he got used to use he was not shaking and when we said we want him they said that we can not adopt him because of the time but we played with the dog for a hour because they suggested that and then said we can not get him

The people were rude and uncaring. It was my first time taking an animal to a shelter and my last. The guy was rough with the cat even tho I told him she was pregnant. She was very sweet and loving so there was no need to be like that. Both people acted like I was bothering them. I can only imagine the horrors inside the place. Need better people running this place.

Dogs and cats are kept too close to one another. A small kitten, who was by itself--alone in the facility--was screaming continuously because large dogs were barking over and over with no walls to separate the noise. Staff was also not knowledgeable about any of the animals.

My dog has been missing for a month and have went up four times as well as messaged them I've been told they would call if they find a dog that fit sisi description each time I go they are uncaring like it's just a job and can't wait for me to leave so they can go on with their day kind of attitude I had seen pics on there Facebook page which looked just like sisi to almost every detail I would have sworn I that was her when u went up there after no response from them on meedages u tried showing the picture and instantly the lady was not interested in looking and said there old pictures from yrs ago well I kept say here just look anyway iblncase u have had one may find one that looks just like it with scar at the tip of her right side nose..barely glanced at it said not had one like the pictures yet and of course u looked everywhere to make sure she wasn't there this dog has been most important animal other baby such I had in my whole life she my baby and it's awful feeling when ur local dog pound can be so uncaring u feel like ur gioe if finding is gone..why won't they look at the picture for me to remember Incase they found her they would know it was my dog ya know

This place seemed clean. It didnt have a strong odor. The staff were very nice. Their adoptions work a lite differently than most. At this shelter, adoptions are usually $100 BUT you dont pay anything to the shelter. Thus, you pay nothing the day you get the pet. The money goes to the vet. The requirement is that you take the dog to get vaccinated and fixed for the $100

Oh lordy I'm reading this and some of yall are wanting McDaniels fired...Why ? Because he grab a dog by the nap of his neck and supported the rest of his body in his hands! Well Good job not getting bit McDaniels and making sure the dogs safety was priority also...People don't understand these animals are scared and will bite in a blink..It's there only defense..So he made sure he had control of the animal and made sure the animal also wouldn't get hurt..It was very visible in one photo the dog was scarred and was actually trying to bite him to get loose..

I do not like this shelter but had to use them bc I live in the county, I did not like the women. She was rude and uncaring. This is also a shelter that kills asked myself and the worker confirmed.

Right now, there are literally thousands of people around the world watching the fate of a little Boston puppy named Libre in Lancaster, Pa.....We are all devoted animal lovers who have had enough of people just like your officer and his sick twisted pictures on social media. We have the time. We have the motivation. We can bombard your shelter, your local and state government with massive amounts of petitions, emails, calls etc. But, wouldn't it just be the right thing to do - to step up and give this jerk the punishment he deserves? If you are a decent shelter and society - why would you want anything less? We are done with people being cruel to the very animals they are supposed to protect. Fire this idiot......

Worst shelter I’ve ever dealt with. I called just a few minutes ago and the woman was very rude, and had a condescending tone. She got me off the phone within 10 seconds. Kinda hope they shut down, honestly. We need better people running the shelters that deal with animals, and if you can’t be kind to a person, I don’t trust you to be kind to animals.

I just saw the horrible post about Taylor McDaniel and this is an out rate -hopefully he has been fired and charged with animal abuse -if this facility hasn't done so then whoever is in charge also needs to be charged with animal abuse !! Charged with animal abuse -$2000 fine / 3 yrs in jail and permanent probation so he can always be watched to never be 500 yards within any animal. What has been done ?

There has been scandal surrounding this shelter after photos surfaced of an officer hurting animals; I do not condone animal violence and don't know how someone could be so cruel.....however, I give them 5 stars after waiting on the coordinator, Beth, who is a kind-hearted woman with a passion for the care of animals. She sent more than 30 pups to a rescue after buying them time and ultimately saving them from being euthanized and cares for ill or injured animals herself.

These photos that have surfaced of an officer you employ by the name Taylor McDaniel, a vile human being and animal abuser, is a pathetic representation and reflection of your establishment! If you you want to redeem your reputation as a responsible and compassionate Department for animal welfare and safety, you must fire this man immediately!!! These picture are going viral and clearly demonstrating his tendencies toward cruelty and abuse. People are outraged and disgusted! It's absolutely unexceptable to have this individual interacting with animals in any way shape or form!! Your reputation is on the line....please do the right thing.

Your animal control officer Taylor McDaniel needs to be thankful..if he lived in our part of the country in the state of Washington he wouldn't last long. Treating animals cruelty causes people to do crazy things...and you probably will continue to employ him I bet?

Rudest staff I've ever met. Had to take a stray to them, after I seen how rude, I asked to take the dog home with me, they pulled the dog from me and I was asked to leave, the dog was screaming, he said they immediately give them shots, I asked if I could check on the dog, was told no, and again asked to leave!!

I don't think they care about helping animals. My neighbor took them a starving stray cat last week. I have tried several times to ask about the cat. I would love to adopt it if she doesn't have something my own cat could contract. I can't get them to answer me.

This is the most cleanest shelter i have been in out of the surrounding county's.The staff here are so friendly and helpful.
